Hello lovely people of style and beauty, I'm in the market for a gorgeous designer bag, budget is around £1700 possibly 2k if im absolutely in love.

At the moment I'm loving this bag .. I just love the style , the colour, everything about it really, but wondering if there are any other similar style bags out there that I might love abit more ! I don't want to rush into a purchase as it's a lot of money but at the same time, I do really love this bag! Now my dc are all primary school aged, I can carry a smaller bag which is amazing !

Thoughts please and also any suggestions would be very welcome Smile

What an absolutely lovely thread. I've really been enjoying it. My only 'concern' is that, having looked at the pochettes métis so much now, I might want one myself and that's just a step too far for me! Perhaps I'll have to start a savings fund specifically for one.

What you said about taking care of yourself, OP, really resonated with me, so thank you for that, too.

I'm sure you'll really enjoy your bag and your DH sounds a wonderful person.
@Gonnagetgoing I have a small Loewe puzzle and it’s by far my most used bag. It’s a perfect design
@Manc2 - I don't really do small bags - but yes a Loewe puzzle would be my choice I think. I love the design - saw it on S&B.

Go for it!
It's a gorgeous bag.

MarmiteLover101 · 20/01/2022 16:47

Congratulations! I have this back in the black empreinte leather and it is an amazing bag.

MarmiteLover101 · 20/01/2022 16:48

And @IloveJudgeJudy aww that's so lovely, thank you. 💌 yes you'll have to get yourself a little piggy bank especially for the bag 😁🥰

God there's always one

It is a pity there is only one because she is completely correct. If £2k is a lot of money for anybody they should not be spending it on a bag.

If all my bills are paid, & I've made donations to charity, & I still have money left over, & separate to that I have £10k of my own hard-earned money to spend on a bag, then why is £2k of that £10k still not a lot of money?

£2k can still be considered a lot of money to those who have money, if they value the money they have.

@slaybellsringing

Ha thanks *@MarmiteLover101* 🥰 the black was also absolutely gorg!

Would it be wise to list it as a separate item on your contents insurance?
8stone13 · 21/01/2022 09:57

Yes, check your insurance OP - some items have to be specified separately - my Chanel bags do, along with my watch, pearls & other jewellery. Don't assume it's covered, there can be exceptions for high value items, especially those that leave the house.

slaybellsringing · 21/01/2022 09:58

@8stone13 you go girl !

I stand by my belief that 2k is a lot of money.

In my view It's called gratitude.

I'm grateful that I am in the position to be able to spend ' a lot of money' on an amazing bag that I love. Just because I am in the position to be able to purchase this bag, this does not diminish the value of the money or the bag. It's still a lot of money. Does that make sense ?

What about having the bag vs not having the bag ?

Are you the kind of person who views things that you don't have as more valuable in comparison to things that you do have ?

Imagine a person who doesn't view 2k as a lot of money because they have lots of it. They go and purchase the bag for 2k and on the way home, they accidentally leave the bag in the taxi. Will they try to call the taxi company and get their bag back ? Will they feel gutted that they've lost it? Or will they go home and put their feet up and think 'never mind, I have lots of money so I don't mind if it's gone.' What if they didn't leave it in the taxi and brought it home and had it wear and use. Would it feel more or less valuable to them than if they had lost it ?

Would the 2k be more valuable if it was lost or used? In other words, is 2k more valuable if you have it or you don't have it?

It really depends on your perspective on life.

There's a lot more to it than a bag, basically 😂

slaybellsringing · 21/01/2022 10:02

Ignore my ramblings, girls. It probably doesn't even make sense but it does to me, in my head 🤣

I promised myself I wouldn't engage but I did.

Anyway !

I definitely need to check out the insurance for it. Great point. Thanks for that @JugglingJanuary @8stone13

Lovely! How are you finding it?

I’m torn between the métis pochette and the Neonoe.

slaybellsringing · 21/01/2022 21:01

I love it ! It's the perfect size ; a smaller bag for me, but not too small. Really comfortable to wear cross body, seems to go with everything !

Havnt seen the other one but will google
