I hope there are others with cult beauty advent who are interested in daily chat about the goodies! It's the first year I have not opened a single door ahead of time

I had Space NK last year after i missed out on CB and was in two minds which to go for this year. I've been following the Space calendar thread too out of curiosity and can say for sure I made the right decision with CB.

We're going out tonight for the first time in ages and I have some lovely new make up to try now - very happy.

clary · 18/12/2021 12:25

I am loving this AC so so much. Agree with others, today's offering alone must be worth £££.That tabac eyeshadow is soooo pretty - I mean the packaging - I really take pleasure in how things are presented now.

I am loving the look of the eyeliner actually, also like the sound of lip oil and the Barbara Sturm product.

This calendar has been such a joy and so well worth it IMO.

MrsMcCluskeysChristmasTree · 18/12/2021 12:27

I tried the Barbara Sturm glow drops but don't think I used enough as I didn't see much difference, I was being cautious though as I was only nipping to Tesco and didn't want to look OTT Grin.

Also tried the Vieve lip oil which was gorgeous, it's not like an oil at all it's just like a lip gloss and it's very shimmery. I don't normally like gloss (or anything shimmery!) but I really liked it.

Housewife2010 · 18/12/2021 13:24

I'm wearing the Tabac eyeshadow today. Very pretty and flattering shade.

OMG! What a lovely surprise today, Christmas came early!

Each year I spend hours looking at all the AC contents before choosing which to buy (and then trying to forget the contents). After today’s drawer I might just buy CB next year without knowing what’s in it!

I already use the IT Cosmestics CC cream so it’s great to have the brush for it. The eyeshadow looks lovely and I’m always happy to try a new face wash.

I have quite a few Laura Mercier powders - loose powder is always so messy, especially in smaller pots, so I’ll have to force myself to use it.

I also find black eyeliner unflattering, especially if it’s liquid.

But all in all an amazing day!

DoctorMarten · 18/12/2021 18:40

I was 🤩🥳 on seeing today's! What an awesome lot of products. Haven't tried them yet but v keen to hear your verdicts. V impressed!

Housewife2010 · 18/12/2021 20:57

The Vieve lip oil looks and feels great. My lips are dry and can get easily irritated but this oil feels great on them and looks gorgeous. Perfect for this time of the year and not too "teenage" on my 50 something lips.

MiaN · 19/12/2021 06:50

Happy with today's however it's going to go to my niece. I have very nice eye shadows already and enough warm shimmer browns.

I was very confused when I read your post @MiaN but then realised I'd opened tomorrow's by mistake. So naturally I went and opened the correct one so I could join in the fun Grin I'm probably a bit old for all that glitter but will probably give it a go at some point.

TooWicked · 19/12/2021 09:45

This will be going onto the give away pile, it’s very nice but I can’t even count the amount of palettes I have of the same type of colours.

Stokey · 19/12/2021 10:29

I don't really wear much eye shadow so not that excited about this one. I also wish they gave you a brush with the palettes but maybe that is asking too much!

Housewife2010 · 19/12/2021 11:20

Very pretty palette today with an unusual emolient texture. Going to have a play with it later.

The brand is suppose to be very environmental friendly without using the glitter that is bad for the environment! don't ask me about the details. Also applying with finger is sometimes easier for that type of creamy/powders

Fell behind again so have just finished opening up the last four days. Bit meh about the ordinary but might mix it with another serum. Love the Molton Brown & am running low on other shower stuff so good timing. Day 18 - wow! My door was wedged shut and now I see why haha - lots of fun stuff to try - the eye pod is right up my street. Eyeliner and mascara I probs won't use but as pp say these would have been in their own drawers in other calendars
Today's palette is really interesting - I was reading about it before I purchased the calendar as it's an interesting concept. Supposed to be applied with fingers using different pressures to get different looks etc

Giftwithpurchase · 19/12/2021 16:04

@Jooox sorry you're feeling disappointed with the Space NK calendar. I had it last year and it had some lovely stuff but think a lot of it has been downsized this year. Supply issues maybe? Still some good stuff to come for you tho!

chloechloe · 19/12/2021 22:28

I was wanting a new palette so am pleased with this. Hopefully I’ll find the occasion to try it out over Xmas. I swear that there are two shades which are exactly the same in mine though - there are 2 identical browns. Is this the same for anybody else? On the photo posted above they look similar but not identical.

pullshapes · 19/12/2021 22:39

I've been away this weekend so just got back and opened yesterday and today. What a lot of treats! I'm pretty excited about the lip oil, eyeliner, eye pod and today's palette and the rest look good if not as exciting to me.

I'm so impressed with this calendar, apart from the unexciting shower gel and a meh (to me) mascara, I've been happy to get everything so far.

Stokey · 20/12/2021 08:21

I'm not sure that I would use today's. I don't have acne scars or hyperpigmentation, although do have freckles. I don't really mind those though. It may be one to give away.
I'm hoping for a serum in the remaining days, some kind of night treatment I could intersperse with my retinol would be ideal.

Puppermint · 20/12/2021 09:10

I used the eye shadow last night when I went to my friends for a bit of pre-Xmas fizz. It was quite pretty but very bling! Tried to use a different shade this morning but felt a bit OTT for a day of Teams calls so took it off. Will be one I'll use occasionally, maybe when I'm on holiday with a bit of a tan where no one knows me to judge the mid 40s woman with spangly eyeshadow

Not entirely sure what hyperpigmentation is but I do take ages to heal from spots so will give today's a try and see what happens.

Jooox · 20/12/2021 10:29

Thanks @Giftwithpurchase at least I’ve tried it and now know for next year. Hopefully CB don’t follow suit and downsize as I have my eye on one.

pullshapes · 20/12/2021 17:53

I'm not sure what hyperpigmentation is either, but will also give this a go to see what happens.

TooWicked · 20/12/2021 21:35

I won't be using today's product, I've added it to the sell/give away pile.

MiaN · 21/12/2021 05:42

Yesterday if it treats hyper pigmentation I am going to use it on my knees and elbows.
Today - I have the full size form GWP, it's ok. Really my teen boy should be using it but he refuses to for some reason. Or good size for travel!

Hmm not mad about today. I think this is our 3rd cleanser - the cleansing balm, the sugar exfoliating one and now this one. Still I thought it was actually vitamins when I first took it out so do prefer a cleanser!

But have liked something we haven't yet had ideally.
