I hope there are others with cult beauty advent who are interested in daily chat about the goodies! It's the first year I have not opened a single door ahead of time

Yes not sure about this one either. TBH The Ordinary aren't really big ticket enough for me to feel like this is a luxury item that I would buy a calendar for. And I'm on the fence about acids. I may try it but would have to be gradual.

The niacinamide at 10% is too high. I am sure it is best to have 5% or lower. The dermatologist on you tube called Shireen, can’t remember her surname talks about it. She has interesting things to say about hyaluronic acid and squalane too.

It's good size but I am not crazy about moltown brown products and don't love their shower gels more than the offering in supermarkets. It's ok I guess.

I can’t get excited about shower gel TBH, but it won’t go to waste I suppose. Bit scared after reading the comments about yesterdays acid. Might leave it for the time being and look into it a bit more before I take the plunge.

I feel similar, but will stick it in my washbag to use when we're away this Christmas.

2 mediocre days in a row. Hope it picks up tomorrow.

I won’t be putting yesterday’s product anywhere near my skin. I never did get all the fuss about The Ordinary.

Can’t get excited about the bog standard Molton Brown shower gel which seems to have been in every advent calendar or GWP I’ve ever had. We do use Molton Brown shower gel here - Blissful Templetree, which I love.

Today’s item will get stashed in my travel bag.

On the whole though, this years calendar has lived up to my expectations and in fact for me it’s been better than last years calendar.

Looking forward to tomorrow's door. CB's Saturday before Christmas door is definitely worth getting up for.

I wanted a lie in tomorrow but now you have said that I will be too tempted not to go and look when I get up for my 6am loo trip and then I won't be able to get back to sleep

Ooooh, that sounds exciting about tomorrow. Didn't realise this was 'a thing' as it's my first year of CB. I'm always awake at the crack of dawn anyway so will look forward to that!

I was a bit underwhelmed with The Ordinary too. The MB shower gel is a scent I haven’t had before which is good and I find their shower gels really good. I got another one in my Look Fantastic calendar too.

I’m intrigued about tomorrow’s now!

Yesterday's slightly disappointing offering is more than made up for today! I have about a million NARS Lagunas, but everything else is great. Love the look of the Vieve lip oil especially.

Omigod, omigod, omigod!! I think this is better than Christmss morning!! If you’ve not looked yet, go!!

Wow!! I had totally forgotten that we had only had one double day so far so we were due more days with several products, this makes up for that!

I don't know where to begin!

I like the look of all of this except the eyeliner which is already in the ‘give away’ pile and the mini mascara has gone straight into my travel bag.
Hooded eyes and black liquid liner are not a good combination.

I do very much enjoy an exfoliating face wash and will try that this morning after I’ve had another coffee.

Wow this is amazing - I never expected so many products in one door.
For any lurkers or those considering for a future year, we got:
Laura Mercier setting powder - think I already have a barely used one of these from Liberty's last year
IT cosmetics brush - looks nice and big
Atelier Westman eye pod Tabac - not something I've used before so interesting to try
Too Faced Better than Sex mascara - a second mascara but will get used by the DDs if not me
Natasha Denona micro blade liquid liner - will give this a go but don't wear much eye make-up
Vieve Lip Dew - this sounds interesting, lip oil that can be worn over lippy or plain
Barbara Strum glow drops - this brand is generally very expensive. I'd never buy it myself so nice to try it here. Apparently you put it on either after moisturiser or after make-up to make your skin glow.
Fresh sugar exfoliating face wash - face wash is always useful.

Phew, long list. CB really excelled itself today! This door alone must be worth a couple of hundred quid.

and Nars bronzing powder.
Never had a cult calendar before but am absolutely loving it, especially todays, what a nice surprise.

Oh yes I missed the Nars, so much stuff it had fallen off my dressing table!

I have the Space NK too, feels like a paltry offering compared with this one. So happy, don't know what to try first!

Totally wasn't expecting all this today. I won't use all of it but still so impressed.

I have been lusting after Westman Atelier Eye Pod in Tabac pod for ages, but it's so expensive for such tiny product. It's suppose to be great one and done shadow!

The makeup brush is super!

It's amazing day really, this is the best advent I ever had.

Don't care for nars bronzer or laura mercier powderr but other advent calendars will have them as a day each. With so much in singer door you can't be too picky

Last year CB had several makeup items in the Saturday before Christmas drawer too.

Wow I think today’s drawer had convinced me to get CB next year. Space NK has been really disappointing for me this year.
