I hope there are others with cult beauty advent who are interested in daily chat about the goodies! It's the first year I have not opened a single door ahead of time

I need some new mascara so happy with today's offering, although haven't tried it yet. Pity you found it a bit clumpy @MrsMcCluskeysCat. I used to use the Benefit one but it started irritating my eyes. Now I rarely wear mascara unless it's a big night out, which haven't happened much recently!

I was ready for a new mascara and I’m very happy with this one.

I much prefer this style of wand rather than the round brush style, took a PP’s advice and wiped off the excess product (there is quite a bit!) and it really separated and lengthened my lashes, it applies beautifully and no panda eyes yet - I’ve had it on since 7.30am.

This is definitely one I’ll buy again.

I like yesterday's face oil a lot.

I have about 15 mascaras already , so I'll add today's to the rotation at some point. Mascara is always a bit of a meh gift for me as I like Bobbi Brown mascara the most and I've not found one that matches it.

Two items today! Loving how thoughtful it was to include one item for summer, and one for winter. This makes it much more inclusive for people no matter where in the world they are (it's summer where I am so this was really appreciated!).

I already have few of both, so not too interested but both will be used.

I'm happy with today's, I wear SPF every day so that will be handy and I also use a Vitamin D spray in the winter which is just about to run out so those will save me having to buy some of that for a few weeks!

1. full size face mist Jordan Samuel _ love and have had before
2. briogio scalp revival shampoo 59ml- I will use it but not buy it myself. I like it more than I thought I would! - ok
3. VB beauty lipstick - not good shade, I think they were trying to get rid of overstock. It only works if I use lip pencil all over my lips as it darkens it little. Love the formula, I have different shade but this is meh for me
4. glow recipe tonner - not for me, maybe neck down reuse
5. farmacy cleaner balm 50ml happy with that
6. live tinted serum highlighter - I would never buy something like this but I really like it. full size
7. shesiedo face cream mini - neck down use
8. AB face oil - happy to get, but wouldn't pay full price
9. Full size mascara Sweed Lashes - it's very interesting but have not used it enough to decide if I like it or not

10. Supergoop sunscreen primer and vitamin d - I get my vitamins and boots and they do just fine but ok to get

So really 2 wins that I either have had before or happy to purchase in the future, 3 really fun products I am very happy to get but have not bought myself, 3 I will use but not love, just ok and two that are wasted on me. and the last 2 that are really wasted on me, as they have ingredients my skin does not tolerate but I will use them neck down

Thought today was a bit boning. Can’t get excited about either but they will get used at some point I suppose.

Re total - I want to get the value of the advent calendar or what I paid for products that I love and would buy myself. So far there have been two but some may be added to the list as I get to use them more.

I think if I go in expecting 1000 gpb value of products I love I will be disappointed, I want to get 225 euro I paid for (they refunded small amount due to damaged box and the rest is to just enjoy trying different products.

Nice to have a double window today, although not the most exciting. I've never taken vit D3 before so will try that for the next month. I normally use SPF50 on my face so not sure and the primer but will try it later.

@MiaN I pretty much agree with your assessment so far although I'm not as keen on the spray but maybe in summer. I'm loving the tinted serum, really seems to work. I'm not too worried about the value. I figure having spent the money now, I'll get a load of beauty products I can use for the rest of the year.

I have a probably stupid question about the toner. I think you're meant to put it on directly after cleaning, but does that mean your serum or whatever you put on top will be less likely to soak through as you already have a layer on your skin? I was going to use it pre retinol last night but decided not to as thought it may make the retinol mess effective.

Meh - I take vitamin D regularly so these will go into the medicine cupboard for when my current batch runs out, and the cream will get put away for my next holiday, who knows when that might be.

Hard to get excited about today’s offering.

I love supergoop so was pretty happy with todays, although I agree the vit D is hard to get excited about

Not sure about this one but happy to try it. Vitamin E and Carrot oil sounds good concentrate to add to skincare. Full size at 5ml and I will never pay full price but nice treat.

This is an interesting one. I added 3 drops to my face cream this morning, I like the feel of it.

Hmm not sure about today's. I was pleased at first as thought it was a serum and have literally just finished the Votary one I got in Liberty last year, but reading the description, it sounds more like another oil. Given we've already had the Bader, I'd have preferred something with more of a kick.

happy to get full size eye cream today but not sure it will be the one for me either. It has limonene witch I find irratating on my face skin, I use tret and I don't think they go well together so it maybe one I will pass on to family

Actually, I was wrong! It doesn't have limonene. Very happy to try it :)

Today's Sunday Riley Autocorrect eye cream has an RRP of £60. Very nice.

Happy with today's. Have used some already and can't say I can see a difference but feels nice and moisturising so will stick with it.

Am really loving this calendar in the main, I love getting a little treat each day, even though some have not been what I'd usually choose.

Today's looks good. Full size too. The only other Sunday Riley product I've tried is Good Genes which people rave about but I found a bit stinging - not sure I get on that well with acids. But just tried this and feels OK.

Pleased with today's face cream, I have used mini and wanted full size. We have full size face cream, mist, eye cream, good size cleanser. Full size but small face oils - like ABader.

Full size mascara, serum highlighter loaded with squalene and other hydrating ingredients, full szie vb lipstick

This advent is really awesome. I am fussy and have sensitve skin at times and apart form 2 products I am pleased with what we have so far.

I'd never heard of this but it looks good. I'm nearing the end of my hyaluronic acid so will try this as a replacement if it's not too heavy for day time.

I've also never used it but I do really like gel creams so I am looking forward to giving it a go.

I am also really happy with the calendar so far, great sizes and some really nice products.
