My first quarterly box arrived today. It's £20 a month which is then "banked" so you can spend that on Liberty beauty making the box free. Free P&P on your purchases too.

Thanks @JohnnyEyebrows mine is coming today.

Saurus72 · 18/01/2022 12:58

I’ve had my delivery email too - I’m actually in the office today for the first time in about 2 months so I can’t wait to get home. I love having nice things to take for weekends away etc plus it’s a nice little pick me up on a boring January day 😊

cowskeepingmeupatnight · 18/01/2022 13:27

I still love the scheme but if I’m honest I am disappointed in the box. Only the cleanser and overnight facial thing appeal to me. I am sick to death of single use masks and bath/body cream stuff. Feel a bit meh now after being mega excited all month. Anyway.

Shiningpath · 18/01/2022 13:41

Got mine today. Could not be less interested in it. I’ll give one more a chance then I think I’ll cancel.

Fleecy · 18/01/2022 13:50

I love masks, skincare and bath/body stuff, so it's good for me. I can always use a shampoo so not exciting but will be used. In fact, I'll use all of it, so a win for me. I got a bag for Christmas, plus a bag in each of my last advent calendars so I'm not exactly in dire need of another, but I can see why others might. And if they did include one next time, well I do like pretty things Smile

Kaftankween · 18/01/2022 14:11

I'm a little disappointed too. This is my first box. I hope it's not all going to be body creams, scrubs etc. I want high end facial skincare to try before I buy. Proper treats.

The leaflet mentions using an included cool tip massage thingy for the eye cream. I don't have one do you? Unless I've missed it.

MaybeHeIsMyCat · 18/01/2022 14:23

It's a good box. I mean really, it's free so...
you can try the stuff that's in the box and then use your banked £20pm to buy something if you like it

I'm using it to buy the ££ stuff I don't usually get so pricier candles, hand wash, bath stuff and the box is a bonus

LoveLabradors · 18/01/2022 14:25

It sounds ok, the first one whilst the bag was gorgeous was a little light on contents although I used and enjoyed what was in it. I had hoped for a mascara (preferably chantecaille as had one in a previous GWP) or a nice perfume sample too. It’s not wildly exciting but it is free!(free-ish as money has to be spent in Liberty). For those disappointed at lack of bag (I’m not as have ahem six Liberty bags) there is this new kit with a very pretty bag that might be worth some credit.

blitzen · 18/01/2022 15:56

How's everyone enjoying the latest box?

wheresmyshoe · 18/01/2022 16:07

Mine had just arrived and I'm a bit underwhelmed. No Sisley cool tip massage tool, I assume that it's the white and gold tool pictured on the card that the sample is stuck to.

wheresmyshoe · 18/01/2022 16:12

Also, it came by Yodel, who are a nightmare here and I do my best to avoid buying from companies who use them. Thankfully the tracking worked so I could go out and flag the van down.

Tibtab · 18/01/2022 16:21

I was happy enough as I’ve got the £20 credit, it wouldn’t be worth £60 to me (if they come quarterly).

JohnnyEyebrows · 18/01/2022 16:25

@wheresmyshoe blimey - you won't get that! They're very expensive. Why on earth would you expect that?

As always with these sort of threads people kind of expect more than they signed up to. These are sampling boxes filled with (usually) sample sized products. It was very clear that the boxes over the year would total approximately £300+ value and you of course have your spend banked with Liberty

You take a chance with this sort of thing. Some people don't seem very good at understanding that though and want the moon on a stick

wheresmyshoe · 18/01/2022 16:30

It lists it on the items included leaflet that was in the box @JohnnyEyebrows. No presumption on my part but a whole load on yours.

Hotdogsforsale · 18/01/2022 16:38

Just opened mine and pretty pleased - nice mixture of things and all items I've not tried before.

Can't lie, a fancy bag would have been nice as I missed out on signing up for the first drop! But I didn't think they'd include one again this time.

Trying to decide whether to spend the £40 I have banked on a nice candle, or let it build up a little more...

cowskeepingmeupatnight · 18/01/2022 16:39

@JohnnyEyebrows why does it bother you so much that we’re not all overly impressed by this particular box? Clearly we like the scheme generally. Clearly we all know that we’ve still got our credit on account, and so this box is an added extra. But we are still allowed to say if we think it’s a flop or there are some products that don’t float our boat.

Shiningpath · 18/01/2022 16:41

Does @JohnnyEyebrows work for Liberty or something? Hmm

I have to say @wheresmyshoe I did puzzle a bit when reading the leaflet, trying to work out what the cool tip thing was. Someone at Liberty has been a bit lax and just cut and pasted some standard blurb.

wheresmyshoe · 18/01/2022 16:43

I think you're spot on @Shiningpath, a cut and paste job.

JohnnyEyebrows · 18/01/2022 16:44

It's like the whining on the advent calendar posts. Beats me Grin

Brogues · 18/01/2022 16:58

I quite like it. Lots I’d try but not necessarily buy. It’s a little step above the brands in the feel unique beauty box and essentially free.

AgnesNaismith · 18/01/2022 17:07

I’m pretty happy with mine, love those sheet masks but would never buy them because they are too expensive! Vitamin c is good for my haggard weathered skin too!! Not massively fussed on the sachets of stuff as I tend to stick them in a drawer and leave them there for years.

Only have £20 banked, it’s a choice of whether to treat myself quarterly (candle sounds good) or wait until next Christmas and buy a dress/bag/snazzy jumper.

SocksAndTheCity · 18/01/2022 17:12

I'm happy too - I'm going swimming later so I'll take the detox shampoo and the mini deodorant with me in my washbag, and maybe do the sheet mask when I get back. Bath salts at the weekend 😊

Tibtab · 18/01/2022 17:15

Plus it’s free postage if you buy any beauty item so that means you can buy less than £45 and still get free delivery.

It’s an interesting mixture of items, make up items are more tricky for them to include as skin tone and hair colour will affect what looks good.

blitzen · 18/01/2022 17:37

Like a couple of people on here, I have mixed feelings. I know it's essentially a freebie but I was slightly disappointed by the deodorant for example. Smells nice but will something that tiny cover even one of my armpits once?! Also the shampoo sample will probably not be enough for one wash as I have lots of hair. But then I really like the look of the cleanser and the facial oil smells divine. Looking forward to trying them!

Topsyturvey10 · 18/01/2022 18:07

I'm delighted with it, packaged nicely and a good selection of higher-end products I would not usually get to try.

Slightly disappointed that there isn't an identical make up bag to the first box (I knew this was unlikely but hey-hoWink).I'm saving up my credits for the advent calendar.

I feel Im slightly addicted to these boxes/kits at the minute but I think it can be considered self-care.
