My first quarterly box arrived today. It's £20 a month which is then "banked" so you can spend that on Liberty beauty making the box free. Free P&P on your purchases too.

So pleased with this — been saving it all day as a reward for hitting a deadline, so am just opening it in bed. I’ll use all of it, it seems surprisingly well suited to my current needs. I guess they know their demographic …

Brogues · 15/10/2021 07:13

I was delighted with mine. I adore the wash bag! The diamond concentrate is £53 (£45 reduced price) to buy so I’m intrigued as to what it will do.

I followed a FB link to join despite registering I never got an email (and hadn’t purchased from Liberty before). For anyone still waiting to join it won’t be until December now. No email about dispatch or even one from Yodel.

Brogues · 15/10/2021 07:14

I will say the only thing I was disappointed in was the fact not everything matched the bag colour wise but I appreciate that might be a ‘me’ thing Grin

goinggently · 15/10/2021 07:22

@Housewife2010

@ LizzieMacQueen Yes it is. The bag is great too. Beautifully made with an inner zip compartment and the Liberty logo on the outer zip. I have so many Liberty bags now from GWPs and Advent Calendars. It was nice to include it. The eye cream is in a pump and is 5 ml which is good as most full size eye creams are 15 ml.
Which one is the eye cream? The diamond thing? I think that's all over face cream?

@Babysharkdoodoodood

I just meant that if I signed up for this, I would have to spend £240 at Liberty that I probably wouldn't otherwise. Aside from the wash bag, they aren't really giving much 'free' as these are samples that you get when you buy from brands anyway. For example, when I've bought from Kiehls in the past, I've been sent a number of samples in that size. Liberty will get these items free from brands.

If you buy from Liberty anyway, then it's a good deal as you get to try a variety samples from different brands without having to buy from those particular brands. However, if you're spending money that you wouldn't normally, then it's not such a great deal, at least I don't think.

ferretface · 15/10/2021 16:43

I really like that Augustinius Bader face oil, had a sample of it before and it applied really nicely, left skin glowy and played well with other products. Happy to have it again. Might use my bank savings on it! Does anyone know if you can use the banked payments on fragrance or does it have to be beauty/skincare?

goinggently · 15/10/2021 17:10

I think it's all beauty so imagine that includes fragrance, but the details were a little hazy!

If anyone wants a face oil recommendation, I have found Sunday Riley's Juno transformational and it's less money than many out there

20FlowerPower · 15/10/2021 20:35

My box arrived today Smile and after looking at the contents here yesterday I thought I'd be a bit meh but I do really love it - apart from Kiehls it's all entirely new products for me to try.

Tonight I have used the cleanser which was, as advertised, very much a balm, and the face oil. The cleanser had no real fragrance but still smelt weird - I liked the texture of it though. My face felt very dry after so I whacked on some of the face oil. It really is a very small sample of oil! But my face feels lovely with it on. Will pop some old faithful retinol on tonight when I go to bed, and look forward to waking up tomorrow completely transformed Wink

Giftwithpurchase · 15/10/2021 21:24

Hello everyone 👋 .. I finally opened my box - isn't it nice!! Such a lovely treat to get the pretty wash bag and the gorgeous selection. I'm excited to try the rose cream and I do like the AB oil so happy to have that again. It's just nice to get a little pick me up in the post. Was a complete surprise for me as nothing about dispatch from Liberty or Yodel.
I went through my stash tonight and am actually feeling ok about it - I have MANY lip balm type products but have been working hard to get through my other bits (lol) and have been blazing through the masks etc. So feel better about my recent CB calendar purchase and this beauty box now Smile

RockaLock · 16/10/2021 08:34

Overall, I was really pleased with the first box. I think it will a lovely treat to have every few months, and not an overwhelming amount of products to get through.

I was pleasantly surprised by the wash bag - but equally, I hope it was a one-off, as I would have no need for another one. It would start to feel very wasteful if they include one with every box!

BurningTheToast · 17/10/2021 13:19

I was very pleased with this. I shop at Liberty anyway and so this feels like a bonus simply for doing what I would already have done. If you see what I mean.

And it's a lovely bag - the Hera fabric design is one of my favourites. Next time a smaller make-up bag in the same design would be nice...

As for the products, they're decent sizes to try - if the Omorovicza serum is approx £300 for 30ml then a 5ml sample seems quite generous to me. It's certainly enough to see whether I'd want to spring for the full-size.

LizzieMacQueen · 17/10/2021 19:30

Oh yes, a smaller cosmetic bag in the same design is s good shout. That'd be January.

Now, don't shoot me but, I reckon the GWPs will stop now they're headed down the subscription route.

SocksAndTheCity · 17/10/2021 21:36

I would love a matching makeup bag and a little perfume too!

I've really enjoyed the products (I went to the Liberty site to look up the rose cream because it was so nice and it was £££ Shock) and the whole thing being a surprise really cheered up my day. It works for me since I use Olaplex so my subscription money will keep me in that if nothing else, but depending on what comes in the bags I might save up for a birthday present for myself. I'm really pleased I signed up :)

imp2007 · 18/10/2021 22:16

I'm super pleased with this - was a lovely surprise in the post as I hadn't received a despatch email. Bag is gorgeous and was unexpected - only tried the serum and rose moisturiser so far and both are lovely. Samples are quite small but enough to properly try the products. Can't wait to see what's in the next one! Definitely happy I signed up .

BurningTheToast · 21/10/2021 18:06

Tried the cleanser last night and found it very sticky. I think I’ll stick with Elemis or Emma Hardie.

Love the Chantecaille cream and the AB oil.
