Liberty Beauty Drop Subscription Box SPOILER

My first quarterly box arrived today. It's £20 a month which is then "banked" so you can spend that on Liberty beauty making the box free. Free P&P on your purchases too.

Thanks for posting as I was considering ordering.

Does anyone know if the quadruple points gets added to your current points or is it a separate thing? It says the voucher is issued in Jan so I'm thinking separate?

It gets added

PatPatPat · 15/10/2022 08:39

@PomRuns isn't it just, although at least it's not then really annoying for the people that have already bought it. Looks like this will definitely be my first year abstaining from a beauty calendar entirely.

I went to Liberty a couple of weekends ago and saw the advent calendar in person. It didn’t impress me in person, think it was the reality of the sizes versus the price. However I did love a lot of the homeware in the store… so see the beauty credit scheme as something that has drawn me into the brand overall, as I never would have gone there for decor before (Oliver Bonas girl through and through!). The annoying thing is they up price so then even with their £10 vouchers and whatnot, they’re on par with Fenwick’s etc. Take this serving platter:

£65 at Liberty www.libertylondon.com/uk/peapod-serving-platter-000534499.html

£57 at Harrods and Fenwicks www.harrods.com/en-gb/shopping/peapod-platter-465cm-17067857 www.fenwick.co.uk/home-and-tech/dining/serveware/serving-plates-bowls-and-serveware/serving-plates-and-bowls/peapod-platter/2770011479123.html

Better off at Liberty with the free delivery and the £10 voucher but still - only when there’s a voucher. Same with the kids toys too, KIDLY is cheaper.

What I’ll say, is that the Liberty curation/buyer is spot on, I can pop in and just get a gift that’s lovely whereas with KIDLY and others I’d be scrolling through a lot of dross first.

I noticed this recently with their Christmas decorations - £14.99 for a Gisela Graham decoration at Liberty that was £7.99 in store and online at Fenwick. I appreciate there's free delivery and the option to build up points towards a voucher but it doesn't sit right that they charge a premium for something that isn't exclusive to them. I could fully appreciate an exclusive item being a slightly higher price.

AprilLady · 15/10/2022 09:20

@PatPatPat I’ve just looked at the T&Cs are can’t see an advent calendar exclusion?

My experience with previous quadruple points offers is that they are just added to your current points balance and then issued as a voucher the next quarter (which would be January, as the last one was issued early this month)

LoveLabradors · 15/10/2022 10:40

I’m surprised Liberty are excluding the advent calendar from their week of offers. It was still on sale by December last year and even more expensive this year. Granted it’s a better offering than last year but I suspect they will need promotions to get it shifted. All of the premium ones will.

loz12345 · 15/10/2022 11:26

I have just checked the t&c’s and the quadruple points offer doesn’t mention the advent calendar but when I add to my basket when logged in it still only shows the normal amount of points - does anyone know if they just add it to the account after or should it show as quadruple points before I check out - thanks

Maranello · 15/10/2022 11:51

@loz12345 I've just done a non-AC order (but it was beauty stuff) and it just showed the normal amount of points so I'm assuming it'll be quadruped later - and if not I'll be asking them to sort it out!

PatPatPat · 15/10/2022 12:17

Oops! I read the wrong part of the t&c's - sorry!

TheChosenTwo · 16/10/2022 10:20

Think my beauty drop box must be on its way, had a text this morning to say it will be here in the next few days!

countdowntonap · 16/10/2022 11:09

Same here. Panicked at first when I got the text and thought I’d made a wine induced Liberty purchase last night - then realised it was the Beauty Drop!

TheChosenTwo · 16/10/2022 11:14

Funnily enough me too! Was sitting scratching my head for a minute wondering what I may have bought - this is not a rare occurence for me 😂

Faciadipasta · 16/10/2022 12:23

Ooh lucky you. Haven't seen anything S yet but assume I will soon :)

LoveLabradors · 16/10/2022 12:36

I think the GWP is going to have to be pretty amazing for £225 minimum spend (at least I think that’s what I read!). Needs to be spectacular at that price! Looking forward to the next beauty drop. I’ve not had a text but I haven’t any one since it started last October so not too worried.

Housewife2010 · 16/10/2022 15:46

The forthcoming Liberty GWP is worth £400 so lower than previous ones.

Where are you hearing about the new gwp???

I think the GWP is for Beauty Drop customers only. It's on Liberty's website page that covers what 'activities' are happening during Beauty Drop' Reward Week (celebrating Beauty Drop's one year anniversary).

redredwineub40 · 16/10/2022 18:50

And you think hmmm the cyber week bargains aren't far off...

purplelicious · 17/10/2022 08:36

I'm a Beauty Drop customer, only signed up 3 weeks ago and have been told my package is on its way, but I haven't been getting daily emails about the offers this past Birthday week. I looked at the link above and see that Beauty Drop customers should have got daily emails and that there is also a competition today and that I should get an email, though judging by what's happened, I'm not likely to 🤔 do you think I should contact them? I'm opted in for emails and texts. So far I've just had a weekly email from them but it's not been specifically about Beauty.

HuzzahIndeed · 17/10/2022 09:24

@purplelicious I was the same so had to email them. I got a message yesterday saying they had changed my settings so I should get them now.

HuzzahIndeed · 17/10/2022 09:24

It took them about a week to reply though.

purplelicious · 17/10/2022 09:28

@HuzzahIndeed - Thankyou - I'll contact them...that doesn't bode well though and there must be something amiss on their side....shame it took a week as well for them to come back 😳 I thought with Liberty, the CS response might be quicker than that. Thankyou again.

RockaLock · 17/10/2022 09:58

I've had a text saying my beauty drop is on its way and will be delivered "in the next few days".

I mean, what is the point of that text? No tracking number, no link to click so that I can maybe narrow down that delivery window or rearrange.

But anyway. Exciting times! - I do love the anticipation and box of treats, and so even though IMO Liberty's beauty offer is not amazing at the moment (for me, anyway), I am happy to keep the subscription going for the time being.

I am hoping for some really high-end skincare treats this time around. What about everyone else?

wheresmyshoe · 17/10/2022 10:04

I've just had the tracking email through, yodel will (hopefully) deliver tomorrow.

RockaLock · 17/10/2022 10:08

Ah, thanks @wheresmyshoe. Hopefully tomorrow for me too, then. But yes, yodel, so all bets are off...
