My first quarterly box arrived today. It's £20 a month which is then "banked" so you can spend that on Liberty beauty making the box free. Free P&P on your purchases too.

There are plenty of Liberty wash bags on eBay for reasonable prices Smile

imp2007 · 18/01/2022 18:25

I'm isolating at home with Covid so this arriving on my doorstep today was just what I needed! Looking forward to trying the cleanser and overnight facial. Think I'll keep the deodorant in my handbag or at work for emergencies!!!

Mcmcmcmc · 18/01/2022 18:47

I signed up in December but haven’t received any emails about the January box. I checked my details on their website and it’s all correct, maybe they send it it batches?

I have to say the contents don’t sound very exciting. Yes it’s “free” (not really as many products sold at Liberty’s can be bought at 10-20% through other retailers a few times through the year) but I hope next box is a bit nicer - perhaps some makeup or proper mini sizes for haircare? I can’t tell if a hair product worked by using it just once.

The Frank body product is the biggest disappointment for me. I used one of their scrubs a while ago when it came in a GWP bag. It’s one of those products where the idea of it might Have been interesting but in reality it just doesn’t work well. Who wants a dirty shower when you could have scrubbed with a sugar or salt-based product for a similar effect? Not to mention that most people have coffee grains at home and wouldn’t need to pay mid-range cosmetics prices for it. Anyway- other things in the box sound nice (if a little unexciting). If anyone could post a photo that would be lovely!

MaybeHeIsMyCat · 18/01/2022 19:01

@Mcmcmcmc it's not the coffee based one, it's a clear salt scrub Smile (I've used it before)

@MaybeHeIsMyCat phew! Grin well, I wouldn’t buy a salt scrub (can easily make one at home) but perhaps it smells nice, in which case it’s fine!

Thank you for the photos Smile

MaybeHeIsMyCat · 18/01/2022 19:08

It does. It's like a salt scrub you use and then add a bit in the bath so a 2 in 1. I did prefer it as a bath soak I think when I last used it

Tibtab · 18/01/2022 19:48

Tried the salt scrub in the shower this evening. It’s nicely lavender scented. Wouldn’t buy it personally as it’s expensive for what it is but a nice thing to try.

Martinisarebetterdirty · 18/01/2022 20:04

I’m pretty happy, sat here with the mask on and love the body cream. I feel we got a lot this time compared to last (still working through the votary cleansing oil from last time), I particularly love getting single use masks - I know they aren’t great for the environment but I find I’m more likely to use them than the ones in tubs.

RockaLock · 18/01/2022 20:20

Mine still says "in transit" but is apparently "due today".

It never got as far as being "out for delivery", though, and clearly it's not going to arrive today now, is it Hmm

Yodel are shite. They'd better not have lost it!!

EasterIssland · 18/01/2022 20:21

got it today. Happy with most of it and glad there was no bag as just bought my own back in summer

Lndnmummy · 18/01/2022 20:55

Had my first ever one today. I am disapointed, had my hopes for one of the wash bags. Probably a tad over sensitive as having a rubbish couple of weeks. But gutted.

Ellesbelles04 · 18/01/2022 21:20

Haven’t got mine yet- no out for delivery notification yet… but payments definitely taken and credit on my account. Fingers crossed there’s another batch sent out!

Orangeslemon · 18/01/2022 22:38

Used the scrub this evening and it’s made my skin sore and blotchy. Don’t think I was scrubbing too hard as I felt like I was struggling to get a good scrub up. I like the scent so happy to use it as bath salts instead and the body cream has soothed it nicely Smile

The 111 Skin vitamin C cleanser has made my skin look really smooth but probably couldn’t use it every day as it seems slightly drying. I really liked the cleansing balm from this brand!

Stoic123 · 18/01/2022 22:47

Just used the Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial (applied using her you tube video on Skinesis massage techiques as leaflet suggests).

Feels nice ...but will see if any difference tomorrow morning Smile

Housewife2010 · 19/01/2022 06:39

I prefer it to the first one as there are more products. The bag in the first box was lovely, but that was to launch the service for the "founding members" and to publicise it on social media. I really didn't expect to get one every quarter and like a previous poster I have a surfeit from Liberty GWPs and Advent Calendars. I have had more exciting beauty boxes, but the Liberty one is as advertised- several trial sizes from high end brands. I would really like perfume and makeup in future boxes.

I agree, I’d be really disappointed to get another wash bag, I have several and if there was one every time they would be wasted on me and given away.
Happily my skin is glowing after the mask Smilelast night

RockaLock · 19/01/2022 08:43

Grr, my yodel tracking now says "short delay".

My box isn't going to arrive today ever, is it. Sad

Hopeislost · 19/01/2022 09:53

Mine has just arrived (Yodel hid it somewhere random!). It's my first box and I think it's a decent selection. I'll try everything but I can't see anything that I'll be buying as they're not items that I generally buy luxury versions of (deodorant, body cream, cleanser).

Like a pp, I find the sachets annoying (especially trying to open with wet hands in the shower!) and would rather have a few tries of a product.

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 19/01/2022 10:06

Just used the Sisley eye cream. Very thick consistency, I didn't expect that.

Kaftankween · 19/01/2022 10:15

Having moaned about the contents, I’m in love with the Susanne Kaufmann cream. I have very dry skin and it felt amazing yesterday.

ferretface · 19/01/2022 10:22

I was really pleased with it :) like bath salts and already used the ouai clarifying shampoo which smells great.

Like PP i would be really pleased to see some interesting perfume samples in future boxes.

Mcmcmcmc · 19/01/2022 16:20

Got mine this morning. Didn’t get any email notifications though! I actually liked the box - it could have been more exciting with perhaps a perfume sample (or lipstick sample cards!) but you can get a mini (simple but luxe) skincare and bodycare routine for a few days.
The box is very pretty. It would be lovely if they sent the next ones in sturdier boxes like the ones in the Space NK GWPs, those are great to store makeup near the mirror and very convenient as they open and close easily. But I guess I’m asking too much Grin

Lndnmummy · 19/01/2022 17:01

Perhaps they could do a bag as part of the first box for new subscribers. That would make sense. The oil/serum thing was ok.

Fleurchamp · 19/01/2022 18:30

I got my box today and I am quite pleased with it!

Although I planned to use my credit to buy my usual makeup but it looks like they no longer stock NARS online - is this right? Is it still in store does anyone know?
