What do we need for autumn/ winter?

Bored of summer now. Want to start on my autumn winter wardrobe.
What style jeans? Skinnies are out. Will mom jeans work with boots? What style boots?
A nice trench maybe?
I'm on the hunt for a lovely long hooded cardigan in maybe cashmere too. Want to add to my cashmere sweater collection too.
Anyone anything else to add?

Tan backless loafers

@brokenbiscuitsx try Baukjen or look at wearsmymoney blog she did a round up recently. My hush military jacket is not boxy at all but I got it in 2015 and it’s still fab

Large coat if last year's has worn out (mine hasn't).
Scarves.
More face coverings perhaps if scarves don't suffice.

I think I was having a, everything looks bad on me day. It’s still a little hard but I rolled the sleeves up and tried it in again and I actually like it. It’s not fitted at the back but I’m used to wearing blazers so it’s just something hew

Has anyone bought (or have) cord trousers, really considering some tan ones. I think I’d wear them like this…

@brokenbiscuitsx those cords look fab. I have a pair of cords but I hardly weary hem even though they are a lovely fit and shape. Maybe this year I will work out how to do so! Glad you are getting to grips with the jacket, some days it's very hard to be objective isn't it?

Yes it’s knowing what shoes to wear, I’m eyeing up some black suede ankle boots which I think will look lovely with them and my cream fairisle jumper 😁

I just sold a pair of cord skinnies on ebay, they were from m&s they just got a bit too tight for me ( bloody lockdown) I will look for a replacement but prefer a wider leg.

I've got cord slim leg and bootcut ,love them both, a little smarter than denim.

Today, I bought a pair of the M&S slim balloon jeans in cream. They're seriously flattering and a third of the price of the famous Whistle ones. I plan to wear them with a boxy, black cashmere rollneck from Cos and my black Balenciaga sock boots.

@peaceanddove can I ask you about these jeans? What shape/size are you? Are you
pleased with them? I've been tempted by the Whistles ones for ages but now I've seen the M&S ones which look good too, but I'm not sure they would flatter my shape. I'm a size 14 in M&S jeans, and have a distinct waist but a bit of a mum tum and a big bum. I somehow wonder if the shape would flatter me

I love cord trousers. They do look good. I also like them in a cropped wider leg like these by People Tree which I’m tempted to buy.

I bought some cord chinos from Cos that I really like. Fairly thin material though, so probably not the best if you live somewhere very cold.
