What instantly ages?

Whether that be clothing or cosmetics, I'm interested to hear your opinions. I have a few of my own thoughts on this, though I could be way off the mark.

Am in need of a boost and think I might be unwittingly ageing myself before my time.

Humph Uggs and fleeces

Oh apparently Uggs aren't ok for anyone anymore. I can actually hear the collective gasp when someone mentions them on here.

Please give examples of non Matt, dewy foundations please.

I use the Trinny London serum foundation. It’s lovely

I always mix one of those liquid shimmers into mine, just enough to get that 'good skin' look. The best finish I've ever found is the Bourjois healthy mix serum gel foundation.

But I must say reading all the comments here it just sounds nasty and ageist. Younger women slagging off older women.

I'd agree with that sentiment. A lot of sneering going on.

Big baggy jumpers, flared jeans, clumpy boots, grey hair, shapeless dresses, oh hang on all those things are in fashion at the moment.

What reveals age is not disguising natural ageing or giving a damn about dressing for style/fashion/to impress people because you are over that. Both these things should be considered super powers IMO.

As someone in my 50s I'd say the thing that ages most is lack of sleep. When young you can stay up late and look great. I now look shocking when I'm tired, I can't hide it.

You can wear Ugg boots as long as you don't wear a fleece or glasses. If you do, then don't carry a black handbag or have pastel nail polish. I think.

Grey hair can look good, so I disagree that it's aging. Out of all things listed throughout this thread, I am guilty of:
Long hair
Being thin
Wearing a fleece, but an short cute one 😁
Comfy boots - hiking style, I love them
Weather proof coat - long puffa coat, can't be without it
Sometimes I wear a cross body bag, but usually don't bother these days
And I do own a pair of over the knee boots.
I've been mistaken for 15 years younger than I am, so I don't think,anything is aging, its attitude

Wow, such an extensive list of things which age you and should be banned.

But there are still areas which need to be addressed. Namely, which pets are ageing?

I have a cat, so assume this must be an ageing pet. (I have lots of the ageing items people are slagging off). Should I buy a more youth bestowing animal, and if so, what?

An alternative view.

For the 99% of women over a certain age who don't adhere to all the the contradictory rules.

How about they simply carry a bell like lepers in the the old days. Then people can know they are coming and turn their backs or avert their eyes. Problem solved!
