Now I never thought I'd say this, not until my mid 40's at least, but I feel like celebrating the wonders of TOAST! I'm not sure I'm game for the wintry stuff but their summer dresses are just perfect. For years I've longed for the undone, easy linen look but usually end up looking like a sack of potatoes... not this summer my friends!

My dad earlier said I looked "outrageously well sorted" in my new orange linen number - I think he meant well put together, and I've just got the navy on sale on JL. Yipppeeeee!

Does anyone like this? https://www.toa.st/uk/product/womens+shirts/c7nee/pagoda+embroidery+silk+pj+shirt.htm?clr=C7NEEIvoryCobaltt_sw

I've liked it for a while but thought the full price was daft.

Also as it's boxy I'm tempted to size down to an 8, although their fit suggestion tool says get a 10.

AmethystMoonShine · 18/06/2020 18:24

I can’t find the returns thing on PayPal to sign up for? Can anyone please point me in the right direction.... what am I looking for please?

Boiledeggandtoast · 18/06/2020 18:29

human Sorry, only just seen your post. I have that jacket and it is lovely. I am quite flat chested and found that it came up quite big; I ordered an 8 and had to return it for a 6.

Railingsohno · 18/06/2020 18:36

The Ikat skirt in a 12 and 14 has come back on to JLP

EraOfTheGrey · 18/06/2020 18:44

Amethyst The PayPal returns can be activated here. I looked into it only after reading about it on here. Thank you to who mentioned it up thread.

AmethystMoonShine · 18/06/2020 18:56

Thanks @EraOfTheGrey, much appreciated Flowers

Moominmammaatsea · 18/06/2020 18:57

@Yorkshirelass04, I absolutely love that shirt and can dream of having the life again in which to wear it; only another 14 years till my youngest heads off to uni!

It is a shirt which conjures up the spirit of Katharine Hepburn in The Philadelphia Story.

houseforanartlover · 18/06/2020 18:58

Just snapped up the Ikat skirt in a 12, hurrah!

How would you style it - I'm not keen on Toast's attempt.
Moominmammaatsea · 18/06/2020 19:01

I had to take my eldest to hospital for an emergency appointment today and the cotton linen coat dress was waiting for me upon our return. It is a thing of beauty and I can definitely make room for it in my life and my wardrobe, and at £75 instead of £250, I think it will soon start to earn its keep. I’m pleased to report that it is as much of a dress as it is a coat, because I was hoping for more of the former and less of the latter.

Almahart · 18/06/2020 19:08

Did someone upthread say that the returns period has been extended - I've just realised I'm over it by about a week now

Almahart · 18/06/2020 19:08

Can't see a reference to it on the website

Almahart · 18/06/2020 19:09

Oh god sorry - found it now

As you were

Yorkshirelass04 · 18/06/2020 19:13

@gazebo I would probably just wear with high waist jeans and gold jewellery.

I'm tempted to order the size 8 so it's a bit fitted.

thedevilinablackdress · 18/06/2020 19:17

Just had the "further reductions" email. Up to 60% off...

Whatthefoxgoingon · 18/06/2020 19:27

@EraOfTheGrey

I must be doing something wrong as I am going around in circles trying to find that activation page. Do you know if it’s possible to do this on a mobile?

AwkwardSquad · 18/06/2020 19:27

The items I’m after haven’t been reduced any more 🤨 so I’ll continue stalking the website

mizu · 18/06/2020 19:28

But this dress still not in the sale Sadwondering if it will at all now.

Thank you so much. I’m far from flat chested so I’m happy that I had to size up because that’s all that was available! I’ll probably never do it up though.

I’m really impressed by your ability to eat and drink without splashing food on your clothing - I’m a disaster!

EraOfTheGrey · 18/06/2020 19:42

@Whatthefoxgoingon I activated on the Paypal website. When I've looked at the Paypal App it only guides you on how to do it online. Looks like you can't activate it from the Paypal app.

I've had that dress in my basket for ages so I really want it to be added into the sale.
StarShapedWindow · 18/06/2020 20:05

Moomin - I hope your eldest DC is okay - emergency trips are always traumatic (sometimes more for us than them!). Glad the coat/dress is a beauty.

Mizu and EraofGrey - I’ve been eyeing up that dress since it came out and I got so worried it would never make it to the sale or that my size would sell out before I realised it in the sale that I gave in and bought it and it should be arriving tomorrow. I know that it will now be in the sale within days! 😂

Squiz81 · 18/06/2020 20:15

Thanks @SirVixofVixHall*@Castoreum @Saurus72*

I’ve added some photos. The colour is a deeper berry shade in real life and it looks lovely on, I’m really pleased with it. Too hot to wear at the moment though.

I agree with you about dry cleaning, I generally avoid at all costs. Really the idea of your clothes being in with everyone else’s is a bit gross when you think about it. I had a Saturday job in a dry clcleaners so I saw the state of some of the clothes 😳

I’d wash it. Probably by hand. I can’t see any reason why cotton should be dry clean only.
