Now I never thought I'd say this, not until my mid 40's at least, but I feel like celebrating the wonders of TOAST! I'm not sure I'm game for the wintry stuff but their summer dresses are just perfect. For years I've longed for the undone, easy linen look but usually end up looking like a sack of potatoes... not this summer my friends!

My dad earlier said I looked "outrageously well sorted" in my new orange linen number - I think he meant well put together, and I've just got the navy on sale on JL. Yipppeeeee!

I love that dress, count. I’ve seen it on a couple of other women, they both looked fab in it as well. Gorgeous print, too. Is it a keeper?

The seersucker wrap dress popped back online in a 12 last night, so I’ve ordered it to see. The 6 months return period (which ends on the 16th btw, and reduces to 100 days - just noticed that in t&cs) is very appealing to me just now as we are shielding someone. It’s certainly making me more relaxed about buying stuff to try and I imagine it will be the same for many others, so returns are probably slower and will go on for longer.

GazeboParty · 12/06/2020 10:00

Just received the Freya Cotton Linen wrap skirt in oatmeal from JLP - wasn't that excited about it before I put it on but I absolutely love it - perfect for a evening out on a hot summer's evening and it's a really great shape, has wonderful pockets and a perfect length.

SteakDiane · 12/06/2020 10:04

Love that dress on you count, it fits so well. The pictures posted here really disprove all the shapeless sack accusations Toast clothes attract. Maybe because, like Cos, they tend to look better on "real" people than on models?

Railingsohno · 12/06/2020 10:20

Well I still can’t decide which jacket! But I’ve decided to send the clogs and the green jacket back. The clogs look nice but they’re not as comfortable as they first seemed.

I managed to nab the crosshatch dress when it just popped back in in my size(there’s a few sizes showing available) and I’ve also ordered these instead of the clogs mules

@Countmeout love that dress 💗

Railingsohno · 12/06/2020 10:22

@GazeboParty would love to see a picture! That’s the thing about the clothes - they can look quite uninspiring on the hanger sometimes but amazing on. I’ve got the most gorgeous Toast velvet jumpsuit that is the best thing in my wardrobe!

Countmeout · 12/06/2020 10:53

Thanks all. I forgot to say I’ve returned it in a 12. Kept the 10 and the Darcy jacket. I got the email this morning from Toast to say it was being refunded. That was really quick as I’d only posted it on Monday.

SirVixofVixHall · 12/06/2020 11:15

I managed to get the cross hatch dress in a ten this morning, am waiting for the twelve which was all they had in stock, that should be here tomorrow. Reviews say it comes up small , so with both sizes hopefully one will fit me.
My kin trousers are here, I ordered the balloon trousers in neutral, a pale tan, in a 12 as that is all they had, and I a 10-12. They are a bit big. The description and label says 100% cotton, but they have lycra in definitely. I also bought the same style in yellow, they also say 100% cotton but the fabric is completely different, a synthetic mixed with cotton and also with lycra I would say. So annoying to have things mislabelled like this. Anyway the yellow are a size ten, but much smaller all over than the tan ones, shorter rise, shorter leg, slimmer leg etc. My husband thought they were a completely different style, but they are supposedly the same.
Have to send the tan ones back, mulling over the yellow.

This just arrived from JL and I love it. The perfect sling it on and forget about it dress. I was astonished to see it’s still full price on the Toast site, I paid £65.

Whatthefoxgoingon · 12/06/2020 12:26

I sent that dress back in the orange. I really liked it but needed it in the small and they were oos. I don’t think it’s worth the full price but a great buy at £65.

Whatthefoxgoingon · 12/06/2020 12:27

I also now own eight new toast dresses and that’s enough for anyone.

Whatthefoxgoingon · 12/06/2020 12:28

If anyone wants a shorter, very soft and well cut summer dress, I recommend the Kibbo. It’s super light without being see through, perfect for hot summer days.

Railingsohno · 12/06/2020 12:35

@Whatthefoxgoingon 👏 good effort!!! Favourite?

Railingsohno · 12/06/2020 12:35

@Alsohuman I really love that!

LanternHill · 12/06/2020 13:02

@Railingsohno did you find the Kitty clogs were narrow? I'm swithering over the new season Kitty Jord clogs because I've got wide feet, which are often problematic.
The were also featured in the Plumo catalogue which arrived today and are cheaper Hmm there than in Toast

www.toa.st/uk/product/womens+sale+dresses/c1nbe/cotton+sateen+shirt+dress.htm

Does anyone have this? I've ordered today on the basis it may be love / hate

Another grumpy and snooty looking model!

Railingsohno · 12/06/2020 13:32

@LanternHill they caught me a bit on my big toe joint but I am a bit sensitive (buniony 🙈) there. I thought I’d try the ones with a strap to see if they were more comfy. The sole felt amazing.

Countmeout · 12/06/2020 13:36

@Yorkshirelass04 I don’t have but really liked the look of it, will be very interested to hear what it’s like. Especially the length and fit . Buttons at the front usually mean going up a size for me.
I think it might drop in price again, there’s lots of sizes, surprised there haven’t been further reductions yet. Maybe once they reduce the returns period as @ilovecherries Said
yes @cherries kept the triangle dress absolutely love it.

paintedwolf · 12/06/2020 13:40

Love this thread. I now have 2 tops and 2 Toast dresses I didn't know I needed. The Kibbo mentioned above, love the print, and the Kado, strappy sun dress bought from JLP which I was unaware that sold Toast (I live abroad) but do now, thanks to this thread. Does anyone have it?

Would love a Kantha Jacket and I am interested in which one you are going to keep @railingsohno

Railingsohno · 12/06/2020 13:49

@paintedwolf - fantastic! Which tops did you get?

I still can’t decide which jacket. The back of the first one is a better colour I think. I’ll put a photo up of the backs later on..

GazeboParty · 12/06/2020 13:55

Toast skirt and essential Antwerp shirt.

@railingsohno

I think the kibbo and the seersucker cotton dresses are my favourites. Although it’s hard to choose! Wish the summer would come back though so I could at least pretend we’re on holiday Grin

Yorkshirelass04 · 12/06/2020 14:13

@GazeboParty i love that stripey shirt! Should be a staple!

paintedwolf · 12/06/2020 14:15

Looking forward to the photo of the backs @railingsohno

I got this top www.toa.st/uk/product/womens+sale+tops+and+tees/c7max/ikat+sleeveless+pleat+front+top.htm?clr=C7MAX_NavyMulti_sw and the plain navy one. The pelmet is a bit swishy but I love the print (bit of a theme with my Toast items)

GazeboParty · 12/06/2020 14:18

Thanks it has great cuffs - I do like a deep cuff - a replacement for a very cheapy thread bare version that I bought in H&M years ago.
