Now I never thought I'd say this, not until my mid 40's at least, but I feel like celebrating the wonders of TOAST! I'm not sure I'm game for the wintry stuff but their summer dresses are just perfect. For years I've longed for the undone, easy linen look but usually end up looking like a sack of potatoes... not this summer my friends!

My dad earlier said I looked "outrageously well sorted" in my new orange linen number - I think he meant well put together, and I've just got the navy on sale on JL. Yipppeeeee!

Thank you 😳 @ilovecherries and @Railingsohno, I got them on amazon when I got the en-suite done, I keep the jacket there because I can see it everyday and use it as bed jacket if I want. My pockets are tethered on the inside, are yours @Railingsohno so I don’t think I could wear it reversed unless I cut them.
BTW I like the clogs.

goldpendant · 11/06/2020 16:50

Love the kantha jackets! Can I get opinions on the Ria??

@goldpendant that is really lovely! Do you mind my asking what size you’re in- feel free to ignore! I didn’t go for it as I thought it would make me look big but you look teeny!

It would look great in the winter too with a layer underneath and a cardigan in any of those colours.

Railingsohno · 11/06/2020 16:53

@Countmeout the pockets reverse too - oh happy day!

Whatthefoxgoingon · 11/06/2020 16:55

Ha @goldpendant my Toast dresses are that long on me too! Smile

Whatthefoxgoingon · 11/06/2020 16:56

Btw I think you look ace!

goldpendant · 11/06/2020 16:57

Haha I'm 5'6!

This is an 8, I buy small in their other dresses, but I'm a big 10/12 usually. Petite frame but squishy!

Ps just realised that my comment was a bit sizeist. Not really in the spirit of the thread (or in line with Toast ethos!) My own hang ups there a bit! Sorry! Blush

goldpendant · 11/06/2020 17:05

Not at all @Railingsohno, what I love about these dresses is the ability to disguise a figure completely but still look feminine and stylish! I've put on a bit of weight in lockdown and it's been creeping on for a year or two, but I feel very confident in TOAST dresses and that they're very flattering on my shape!

@goldpendant thanks. Flowers Well I think that one is a keeper! Tempted myself now , I do love a check.

GazeboParty · 11/06/2020 17:26

I don't like the Ria 😬

ilovecherries · 11/06/2020 17:31

Gold, it looks great on you. That’s the one I sent back, it just didn’t look right on me.

HieronymusBoschLAPD · 11/06/2020 17:50

Raining, I love the second kantha! The first is nice, too, but if you're just keeping one, absolutely keep the second. I agree with the workwear jacket - it's not bad, but it's not great either.

Amethyst, I follow Alexandra Tolstoy too and Raining is right, it's for fashion and everything else. When she was staying with her parents recently it looked absolutely idyllic. Kate Hiscox at wearsmymoney is good for trouser and dress inspiration, she has a tie in with John Lewis and regularly shows their Kin things.

HieronymusBoschLAPD · 11/06/2020 17:51

Oops. Hit post too soon.

Gold, the Ria looks lovely. The colours are gorgeous - not too summery so I bet it'll be quite easy to wear year round (weather and temperature permitting!).

Countmeout · 11/06/2020 20:22

That dress is great on you goldpendant

SteakDiane · 11/06/2020 20:42

You look great goldpendant!

Really like all your purchases railings, but agree with consensus that second kantha jacket is best. Beautiful colour combo. I like the workwear jacket too, though it's more
everyday. Think it would be good with wider leg trousers.

Countmeout, I'm now wondering whether there isn't subliminal marketing here after all (as per other thread) - that jacket shot is so on-brand!

Venusflytart · 11/06/2020 21:52

I just got the cotton twill jumpsuit in ‘papaya” (actually rust coloured). Still expensive at £135 but it’s great quality. Anyway, it’s this one: www.toa.st/uk/product/womens+sale+trousers/c4ncd/cotton+twill+jumpsuit.htm?clr=C4NCD_Papaya_sw Never mind the extremely sullen look of the model though Smile

Railingsohno · 11/06/2020 21:56

@Venusflytart - great name!

That’s a great jumpsuit. What do you wear it with?

Railingsohno · 11/06/2020 21:58

@SteakDiane thanks! I’m going to have another try on tomorrow.

I’ve just bought some blue Levi’s Wedgie cropped straight jeans on eBay for £30. I have them in black and they’re really flattering.

Zinnia · 11/06/2020 22:10

@Venusflytart am envious of that jumpsuit - love the colour but it just didn't work on me, had to return it. It was the sleeve length I think, just a bit too short.

syskywalker · 12/06/2020 01:48

I find it rather off putting that the model doesn’t wear a bra when she clearly needs one.

AmethystMoonShine · 12/06/2020 07:33

@Railingsohno and @HieronymusBoschLAPD thank you for the insta recommendations, I’m off to follow Grin

Loving the photos of outfits from others, thank you.
Really hard to choose between those two Kantha jackets.

JulesJules · 12/06/2020 08:05

I'm a bit of a Toast stalker, as a Mitsouko/Cabochard wearer they are right up my street Grin but I've never actually bought anything as they are much, much more expensive than anything I would usually buy. I love the look of that Riya dress, but after reading some of the comments, think it probably wouldn't suit me. Love the look of the green floral print wrap dress too.

Countmeout · 12/06/2020 08:07

Ok more realistic picture definitely not one for the Toast catalogue.
I’ve obvs had no time to tidy in lockdown. 😬
Triangle dress oos but might pop up for someone in returns. Good point about people sitting on returns longer.

Countmeout · 12/06/2020 08:08

Oops though I had a picture
