Now I never thought I'd say this, not until my mid 40's at least, but I feel like celebrating the wonders of TOAST! I'm not sure I'm game for the wintry stuff but their summer dresses are just perfect. For years I've longed for the undone, easy linen look but usually end up looking like a sack of potatoes... not this summer my friends!

My dad earlier said I looked "outrageously well sorted" in my new orange linen number - I think he meant well put together, and I've just got the navy on sale on JL. Yipppeeeee!

I have a nightie and pyjama set - both of which I wear during the day and don't use as sleep wear. Sadly everything else I've ever tried on from there makes me look like I've fallen down a hole. I live in hope.

Hi, I m a Toast fan have been reading here and thought id join in ( Know *Cherries" from another thread )
Bought a few things from this sale, Triangle dress, Zoya ( from JL earlier reductions) , the Mexican tile dress and the blue workwear jacket ( which I just love)
Also the brick espadrilles are on their way which I will keep as have tried on a larger pair and loved them .
Just waiting for further reductions now.. !

Railings I can be an 8, 10 or a 12 in jeans but the 10 is a good fit!

I think the sizing on the Whistles barrel legs is generous so perhaps go for an 8 if between 8 and 10. I got my usual 26 and they're roomy. Might be due to my shape though - small waist and bigger thighs. I find them surprisingly versatile, seem to go with most tops/shoes/coats.

This thread brings me much joy! And expense I have 3 pairs of the Whistles barrel leg jeans, a dark wash, a mid wash and most versatile the Stone colour (sandy beige). I'm usually a Toast size 8 in bottoms and the 26/27 both work. They're a fairly stiff 100% cotton and non stretch so I'd size up and wear with a belt if needed.

This is a very dangerous thread that has cost me a 4 figure sum

I’m an 8 in Toast but don’t have a small waist. The waist is normally where fitted clothes don’t fit me so well. I’ll try a 27 and a 28. JL has them so I’ll get them from there.

Yes this thread costing me too. I would love to see some people in their Toast clothes, if anyone feels up for sharing! I will once my stuff arrives. I’ll have a gander at their Instagram as it was great to see how others style it.

I forgot to say that I also got a white tee from Arket, as they look pretty good. Like the Arket stuff a lot actually.

Alexandra Tolstoy is good to follow on Instagram. She is a a Toast fan and her outfits are amazing. Her life in general actually is straight out of a book! House interiors are lovely too.

I think the denim varies a lot between the different colours and styles of the barrel leg jeans, which will affect fit. Interesting yours are stiff denim simplificate, mine are really thin and soft with a bit of stretch (they're the dark ones on JL, though with 1% rather than 2% elastane just to make it extra confusing). I'd like a 100% cotton version, like the "authentic" ones on Whistles site. But I'll limit myself to setting an eBay alert for now.

Agree that it's great to see people's purchases. I'll try to be brave enough!

I love Whistles barrel legs! I'm an 8-10 (more of an 8 on top, more of a 10 on the bottom) and would normally buy 28 jeans but the size 27 is right for me with the barrel legs. However, the black ones in 27 are almost a bit roomy while the mid wash blue ones in a 27 are pretty tight!

I like the first one best @Railingsohno have you reversed it in the second picture?

Yes, the second photo on the first post is reversed. One of the things I’m not so sure about the first one is that the material is not symmetrical at the front.

I’m out just now with DD but I’ll post photos of the backs later on. It’s very pricey but the cool thing is you literally get 2 for 1! 💗
