Photo - What size do I look

I've put on around a stone which was the right thing to do. I was quite skinny and my face looked absolutely terrible (like a 40 yo heroin addict).
Now my face is normal and feels pretty again. But I'm not pleased with my body.
I do the gym and yoga, but honestly please - what dress size do you think I am? (In boden/john lewis/m&s etc - not h&m or topshop)

Nrtft, but there does seem to come a time in a woman's life when one had to choose between face and figure. I've yo-yo'd with my weight over the years, and on balance have looked better carrying more weight. Once I got very slim people said my face looked gaunt. Now I'm very slim again, but face doesn't look as gaunt. I think it's because I'm 6 years older since then and my face has changed anyway (dropped and more jowly? ☹️) since menopause and the two kind of match up! Do whatever you feel comfortable and healthy with. There's no harm in carrying a few extra pounds if you look so much better.

Size 12, I think you look good

If we leave aside the filler argument I still don't think you have to choose between face & arse if you haven't yo-yoed weightwise. That's when the skin gets stretched out and doesn't always ping back.

Keep the same weight for most of your life and hopefully no need of fillers and the like.

Not always easy when pregnant multiple times! And I often get skinny due to mh issues so it drops off fast.

When I sit about 10.5 stone I'm a curvy 12 (would rather be less hippy) but when I fall below 10 stone although I'm happier with my figure, multiple people ask me if I'm well because my face looks gaunt. 😢

I’d say a size 12 and you look an average (but lovely) size. Not too slim but definitely not overweight either

You look just fine but I’m surprised they are a 28’ waist at 5’6 if I’m honest

Second photo better as I’d have said 14 in the first pic. 12 in 2nd but again am surprised at the size 8

Just goes to show! Bone size is important. Can have big frame and little body fat or vice versa

I'm going to start a thread about how I look young for my age. I can bet that even if I post a picture of myself as a newborn people will say I look 30 or have had a hard life!

I'm 5'7" and a size 12 and look a little chunkier than you. I weigh about 10 stone and 10lb

@Alwaystwomagpies, I'm now 9st 12. At 8st 12 I was quite gangly, and like another poster said, collar, rib and hips bones looked huge.

The sizes are correct! The blue stripe top is a Petit Bateau XS also. But maybe it's meant to be worn much baggier.

My take away from your comment is that I have delicate bones!

Exactly this. Must be a very sad person to get enjoyment in telling someone they look 5 sizes bigger than they do. Only reason for posts like this is to try and cause upset as the OP is obviously nowhere near a size 18. Absolutely pathetic.

Today I'm wearing size 8 jeans and they aren't tight at all.

I do have a selection of sizes in my wardrobe as shops differ so. But can safely say there are zero 14s or 16s.

Prob not even many 12s being honest, although a few things lately I've bought in medium which is like a 12 I guess.

I don't know how much I weigh but probably exactly the same as you!

I was a size smaller until a few months ago and much preferred it. Thyroid playing up in my case has made me bigger

But you look great, so that makes me think I must look OK too, hurrah!
