Second one without a doubt it's stunning

Namethecat · 08/02/2020 15:17

You look lovely in the first one. I'm sorry but the 2nd one looks a bit 1980s.
The first one needs taking in as you can see it is a little big of you, but once that's done you will look fabulous. You have a great figure.

amymel2016 · 08/02/2020 15:19

I prefer the first one, especially if you get it tailored to you.

Lauren83 · 08/02/2020 15:19

2nd one

CoffeeCoinneseur · 08/02/2020 15:19

#1 is shapeless, it's only that you're holding it around your waist that it actually gives you any shape.

#2 reminds me of a bridal nightie that you might wear in your wedding night.

Can you get #1 altered to fit properly.

ticking · 08/02/2020 15:22

I think your age is relevant here.... 30's and it's the first one 50's and it's the second!

Littleshortcake · 08/02/2020 15:23

I like the first one (one altered) and with accessories (long veil perhaps to make it more bridal)
The second one is lovely but the sleeves would be nicer more tailored to you

SweetMarmalade · 08/02/2020 15:23

They’re both ivory and from the current range of Monsoon, although I managed to bag myself a bargain on the second one and got it through eBay.

The second one I love the fact my arms are covered, the first I love the sparkle element but it does need adjusting.

I just don’t know.

1st one.

SweetMarmalade · 08/02/2020 15:24

I’m very late 40’s

Get number one taken in on the waist it’s lovely on you.

SweetMarmalade · 08/02/2020 15:24

So perhaps the sparkle one is too young for me.

1st one.

funmummy48 · 08/02/2020 15:25

The first one is pretty.

ShirleyPhallus · 08/02/2020 15:26

Marginally the second one but both really need to be tailored, they both look a bit baggy and shapeless.

Is 2nd one a bit see through as well or is that the light?

PerspicaciaTick · 08/02/2020 15:26

The first one, tweaked to fit
I really don't like the second one, it reminds me of net curtains.

Springisintheair20 · 08/02/2020 15:27

The first as the second looks like the kind of nightie Margot from The Good Life might have worn.

SweetMarmalade · 08/02/2020 15:27

This is the back of the lacy one

Both will look lovely if you can get someone to tailor them for you

YorkshirePud1 · 08/02/2020 15:27

I don't like the material on the second one, I think it looks quite cheap, sorry. I don't think the first one is too young for you at all, it just needs taking in and it'll look lovely. No need to cover your arms!

Bringonspring · 08/02/2020 15:28

That is beautiful from behind. It doesn’t quite fit round your chest, do you know someone who could tailor it cheaply

CoffeeCoinneseur · 08/02/2020 15:29

Having now seen the back of the lacy one it's definitely like a wedding-night nightie.

Go for 1.

blackcat86 · 08/02/2020 15:31

The first. The second one looks quite dated to me.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 08/02/2020 15:32

First one, you look beautiful.

wowfudge · 08/02/2020 15:33

The second one is the best shape on you. I don't get the nightie comments - it's lovely from the back too.
