As on the previous thread, please critique the outfit rather than criticise the woman and keep Megxit talk for the many many threads already dedicated to that!

Am I the only one who reads the Town & Country articles and frowns at all the spelling mistakes? Don’t they proofread?

TheNavigator · 08/02/2020 11:47

I love that link comparing looks. Meghan does have a vavavoom about her - you notice the beautiful woman before her outfit. Also Charlene of Monaco is so stunning and has that vibe as well in those pictures. She always looks so sad and empty now, she's lost her vavacoom.

itswinetime · 08/02/2020 11:51

Everyone is welcome on these threads that's what I feel anyway as long as this thread is mainly style with a little bit of the more light hearted gossip then I don't think it matters what other threads you are on.

frugalkitty · 08/02/2020 11:56

Interesting article justasking

Do we think that Pavlos and Chantal of Greece will style themselves King and Queen when the time comes?

DevonUkelele · 08/02/2020 12:00

Me too Paradyning... I'd love to see Kate in her version of the same dress, reckon it would work.

Meh, Melania made her (feather down, comfort top) bed, I feel she can lie in it.

QueenOfTheAndals · 08/02/2020 12:03

@frugalkitty I wouldn't put it past MC to do so though really, the title should die out with ex-king Constantine.

QueenOfTheAndals · 08/02/2020 12:04

Agree re Melania @DevonUkelele. She's probably hating the idea of being FLOTUS for another four years!

@Queen I'm in the pantry, looking for Fs something to give and it's like Mother Hubbard's cupboard. Bare, I tells yeh...

QueenOfTheAndals · 08/02/2020 12:15

I do wonder if she's just hanging in there until her son is 18 but that's probably talk for a different thread!

megletthesecond · 08/02/2020 12:35

I think she is queen. I hope her son comes out the other side ok.

Spudlet · 08/02/2020 13:01

Nah, she’s hanging in there for widowhood....

StCharlotte · 08/02/2020 13:25

Article in the Telegraph about Kate today. Haven't read it yet but there's a great close up on the front page and I covet her earrings.

alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 08/02/2020 14:37

Camilla Tominey makes me feel queasy. She is so fawning about William and Kate.

QueenOfTheAndals · 08/02/2020 15:15

Yes, she and Camilla Long are dreadful.

StCharlotte · 08/02/2020 18:03

I've read it now. She gives sycophancy a bad name!

Still like those earrings though.

StartupRepair · 08/02/2020 20:39

A few months late but just read the Lady Anne Glenconner book and just loved it. I love the way she describes everything as if it is perfectly normal. And love the way she writes about the Queen as helpful and constructive.

DevonUkelele · 08/02/2020 21:16

China’s ambassador to the UK invited the York’s to celebrate Chinese New Year with him. And there’s all sorts of stuff going on with that!

But I really posted this pic for Bea’s weird headband. I’m a fan of headbands in some contexts, but not this time!

QueenOfTheAndals · 08/02/2020 21:19

Why is Fergie grinning like a loon?

OP posts:
itswinetime · 08/02/2020 21:22

No that needed a black headband if it was going to have a headband at all or some white in the dress. Is black a traditional colour for Chinese New Year? I think it's a bit odd neither Bea or Fergie wore any colour and plain dresses that's not their normal style.

StCharlotte · 08/02/2020 21:35

I had a hairband (and hair!) just like that when I was a bridesmaid in 1991.

alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 08/02/2020 21:36

@QueenOfTheAndals because she is one seems to be the correct answer.

DevonUkelele · 08/02/2020 21:38

Fergie always seems to look like she's so surprised and grateful to be there - like she can't quite believe her luck.

mathanxiety · 08/02/2020 22:21

Fergie is always grinning like a loon.

She also appears to be doing the potty dance there.

itswinetime · 08/02/2020 22:33

So apparently it's not a white headband it's a pearl headband from Zara. I think that is somehow worse! But another Zara find! I don't know where all these Zara's go but o never find anything in the ones near me! Not that I would want to find that particularly but you know what I mean.

FATEdestiny · 08/02/2020 22:36

Oh my god, my 5 year old would wear a headband like that. For a woman about to get married she looks so childish.
