As on the previous thread, please critique the outfit rather than criticise the woman and keep Megxit talk for the many many threads already dedicated to that!

Those are some of her best looks there but, with the exception of the green dress, she's yet to repeat any of them. She hasn't reworn the Chanel suit she wore in Paris either and that was beautiful.

Kate looks perfectly nice in those photos but not what I would call fashionable. She reminds me of many women I meet all the time, they look nice and presentable but it is by no means super fashionable.

It helps she has a model figure of course. But I suspect when she chooses clothes for official events her focus is being on easy to be seen, easy to walk in, not likely to flash her knickers Wink etc etc.

This is surely the only explanation for the hideous espadrille wedges she wore for years Wink

mrscampbellblackagain · 05/02/2020 19:04

She really does have the very worst taste in shoes.

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/02/2020 19:08

At least she's given up the nude Sledges now! She has 3 pairs that I really like - the silver Jimmy Choo sandals, the burgundy Prada heels and the Tod's pumps - but again, she doesn't repeat them that much

Meghan, even if they are a size too big, and the York sisters have much more enviable shoe racks!

True Queen!

BennytheBall · 05/02/2020 19:38

Kate needs a show intervention!

In fact, she needs a new stylist. She'll have bored us all to tears soon with her sensible, blah clothes. She's tall and enviably slim - she should be wearing stunning clothes.

mrscampbellblackagain · 05/02/2020 19:46

I would like to see her dress a lot more sexily! She is not that old and she has a fab figure.

And less overly styled hair as well.

She could take some advice from Meghan on fashion and Meghan could take advice from Kate in terms of fit.

BennytheBall · 05/02/2020 19:51

Yes, I'll miss Meghan's clothes. I thought she always looked very stylish and sexy.

Ihatesundays · 05/02/2020 19:56

I think she dresses too old esp evening wear. There’s a way to be covered up and still be youthful and a bit sexy - look at Zoe Kravitz.

StCharlotte · 05/02/2020 19:58

I can't see Alexa Cheung in any of those. Maybe the green.

As an aside, can I just say that in the flesh she (Alexa) is unbelievably pretty.

StCharlotte · 05/02/2020 19:59

She could take some advice from Meghan on fashion and Meghan could take advice from Kate in terms of fit.

Spot on.

Kate and William, ten year challenge

Horsemad · 05/02/2020 20:05

@thisenglishlife, I think they look pretty good!

Lunde · 05/02/2020 20:14

I'll miss Meghan's casual clothes . she could really rock a trouser/jean and crisp white shirt or jumper combos,

However I'll be happy to see the back of those double breasted and tie waisted dresses - I'm really over those

N0tfinished · 05/02/2020 20:24

Letizia and SFF had a diplomatic reception. Love Leti's gown. I think she could be my favourite- her style is so classy but still fashionable. Didn't like the handkerchief hem dress earlier in the week tho. Let's and SFF seem quite hard-working don't they?

Kate looks pretty much the same @horsemad

Gooseysgirl · 05/02/2020 20:30

@QueenoftheAndals that Paris Chanel suit is one of all-time favourite Kate outfits

DevonUkelele · 05/02/2020 20:36

She's worn the white lace Zimmerman a couple of times - first on the beach in Sydney, and then to Wimbledon a few years ago (I think).

In fact, she needs a new stylist.

All the yesses to this ^^. Wasn't she thought to be using a new stylist while her PA/stylist was on maternity leave? When she broke out the wide-legged trousers and back-to-front lilac blouse and looked fab?

I got my hopes up with her "working mum" kit from last week. But the Welsh visit looked more like a return to form.

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/02/2020 20:40

How SF-y does SFF look there?!?

OP posts:
MotherofPearl · 05/02/2020 20:44

Oh gosh, I absolutely love love love Leti's velvet dress - amazing! And agree that SFF is looking very SFish indeed! Grin

Horsemad · 05/02/2020 20:44

I thought so too @thisenglishlife. 🙂

More on Letizia's dress and the ceremony here ^^. I think the dress would have been nicer without the front buttons and buckled belt, though it was a specific type of ceremony and the more military look was appropriate for it.

They say the camera adds ten lbs. Shock

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 05/02/2020 21:37

To me Kate often looks very nice and presentable, sometimes fashionable but in my opinion, never stylish, she just does not have the style gene, unlike Meghan who has style. Style is innate, you either have it or you don’t.

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/02/2020 21:44

Yes I think Meghan is just naturally stylish, as evidenced by her ability to make something as simple as a white shirt look amazing. I suspect her royal wardrobe wasn't what she'd usually choose to wear, which could be why it often looked a bit off.

Exactly Queen a pair of jeans and a white shirt and she just oozes effortless style.
