McQueen rewear with new jewellery. I like this one!

I'm not sure a HMQ gowns would suit Kate as the have very different figures and B they would let them be altered maybe Diana's but I think she will be in her own.

Most of the celebrities are in dresses I haven't seen before so maybe Kate will go with new but sustainable.

Not one of my favourites either and the jewellery looks silver, which seems wrong with that dress - surely gold would look better with the gold embroidery? But maybe it's the camera/lights.

And if I'm being picky I would have liked her/her seamstress to do something to the dress alter it some way so it looks fresh and new but that might just be me

Oh I really dislike that dress. And the jewellery is no improvement. Such a disappointment.

I agree. Dress is horrible. That bit round the boobs and the jewellery is awful. It doesn't seem to even match the dress. Hair is fab though.

So it's mother of Pearl not silver that makes more sense white and gold like the dress I still don't like it but it's better than gold and silver

I really liked the dress when Kate wore it for the Malaysian reception - it was very appropriate and a lovely dress.

I don't see it as a 'red carpet' dress though - it's not glam enough. So yes, a bit disappointed.

Definitely better than silver with the gold embroidery. Overall I agree with pps that it's disappointing.

I think Kate’s dress is a bit underwhelming. I don’t like the style of the bodice or the short sleeves, though the skirt seems to hang & flow well.
The understated jewellery doesn’t do anything to lift the look either.

How can it be "not glam enough" it's literally gold embroidery? I'm not mad keen on those bust shelf thingies (forget the name, popular in 50s style dresses) but as it is it's very well fitting and a really nice Commonwealthy dress I think.

Camilla has a similar pair of earrings.

Ok Camilla has at least three pairs of Alhambra, Malachite, MoP and pave diamonds.

Kate's dress is awful and the jewellery is far too much with such a blingy dress.

I don't like her hair up at all.

Oh and I’ve always liked that gold dress, it’sreminiscent of McQueens very last show.

I think I like it, it just doesn't have the wow factor that last year's had. The sleeves have been changed from the first wear in 2012 but she's got nicer frocks she could have chosen to wear.

Probably one of my least favourite evening dresses of hers. I don't think it does anything for her. Hair is not great either.

It's just terrible in every way.
And the jewellery does not go with the dress. Twee sparkly shoes. Gah.
She should have reworn the white Mouret. Or any JP.
She would gave held her own with Hollywood then.
Loving Renee Zellweger's dress. She totally could have worn that in a darker pink.
