As on the previous thread, please critique the outfit rather than criticise the woman and keep Megxit talk for the many many threads already dedicated to that!

Those Diana tops are a bit odd imo

Traditionalwife · 30/01/2020 12:01

She looks great in anything and I know people are going to bash me saying leopard print is a classic but to me it looks tacky and a bit kat Slater-ish.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 30/01/2020 12:24

I find leopard print can look awful or very stylish, depending on how it's worn. A good quality fabric, print, and cut, absolutely no bling and I think it works well. Otherwise, I know what you mean about Kat Slater.

I don't like that suit on Camilla I'm afraid. It looks like it was made from upholstery material and she's losing her underskirt.

QueenOfTheAndals · 30/01/2020 14:03

I have a leopard print shirt dress. I assure you I couldn't look less like Kat Slater if I tried!!

Me too, Queen.

Diana was a great fan of pie crust back in the day, in fact she liked a lot of different collar styles.

I agree with this point, but I think that here it doesn't look stylish or awful. I think a brown jumper would have worked better.

It probably would have looked better but quite close to MM’s outfit to Canada House.

Kate and Camilla both need to invest in some chestnut / tobacco boots.

justasking111 · 30/01/2020 17:43

Kate really is recreating Diana look with pie crust and bows, I had completely forgotten about her many looks.

CPV and PD have been on an awayday to Skåne county in the far south of Sweden. Among other things they visited a ceramics workshop, had dinner with the County Governor and PD did a night shift with Skåne police. I like the green skirt that CPV wore to the dinner but not sure that the material went with the top..

Working with the police seems to be one of their themes at the moment as they took Estelle and Oscar to a police station for a visit after their Christmas lunch,

Pussycat bows have become a thing - it started in Sweden in 2018 as a symbol of the Swedish metoo movement and in particular the sexual abuse scandal at the Swedish Academy. It has also become a broader statement of female empowerment.

CPV has been wearing them - a lot - many say as a statement as she was reportedly sexually assaulted at a Swedish Academy event

MotherofPearl · 30/01/2020 18:49

I like that green skirt of CPV's, but agree that the top lets it down a bit.

MotherofPearl · 30/01/2020 18:57

Max in a deeply unfortunate outfit.

CPM's blouse is a lovely elegant contrast to all those piecrust frills.

,Max in a deeply unfortunate outfit.* Wow she looks like she has a fairly large baby bump!

StCharlotte · 30/01/2020 19:26

Is the bottom bit on Camilla's skirt not the very definition of a furbelow?

MotherofPearl · 30/01/2020 19:33

I thought that too @StCharlotte but then I reread the definition which seems to say it has to be gathered? Grin

StartupRepair · 30/01/2020 19:54

Who owns that lovely French parure? The French government?

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 30/01/2020 20:00

I always associate the pussy bow with Margaret Thatcher, Mrs Whitehouse and the like. It's strange to see it fashionable with younger people.

Horsemad · 30/01/2020 20:08

Love the blouse that CPM is wearing.

SpokeTooSoon · 30/01/2020 20:26

I think the pussy bow thing is only popular with tall, willowy types. It’s a way of saying “see, I’m so slim I can wear these extra frills and still not look matronly and frumpy - you can’t!!!” Grin

Spudlet · 30/01/2020 21:35

CPV has been wearing them - a lot - many say as a statement as she was reportedly sexually assaulted at a Swedish Academy event

Genuinely shocked by this Shock You’d expect a princess to be safe! Poor CPV Sad

RomaineCalm · 30/01/2020 22:35

Nice pictures of William today but really not sure about the green half-zip jumper with the blue shirt and blazer.

Just been watching ITV programme on the royals. Both Margaret & Diana were such beauties but not happy lives I’d say in spite of the money.

Afrigginggoat · 30/01/2020 23:05

I think CPV is just fabulous. A complex life too, she's overcome anorexia whilst remaining in the public eye. Respect to her! I do hope she can support Estelle to remain happy and healthy whilst being heir
