As on the previous thread, please critique the outfit rather than criticise the woman and keep Megxit talk for the many many threads already dedicated to that!

Kate is nothing if not expressive - her face in the first photo is hilarious! But agree it's probably not the best skirt for a windy day. I find those flippy skirts a bit dated but are they suddenly back in fashion?

AudacityOfHope · 28/01/2020 11:39

Noooo not the flippy skirts again!

ajandjjmum · 28/01/2020 11:44

I think she looks great - and taking into account the background work she must be doing for each visit, she's certainly putting in the hours.

frugalkitty · 28/01/2020 12:08

I still can't believe 'they' don't weight Kate's flippy skirts!

HepburnKNotA · 28/01/2020 12:12

Just have to pop on (I’m a lurker) to state the bleeding obvious: her legs are fabulous aren’t they???

Hate the double breasted jacket and the flippy skirt but she looks smart and professional at least.

Here's the video of those pictures ( make sense? 🤣) where Kate's skirt gets caught by wind, it's literally a second as she gets out of the car.

SpokeTooSoon · 28/01/2020 13:05

I like the flippy skirts. She’s looking great. There was a lot of tension in her face on her last few outings but yesterday and today she seems back on form.

queenofarles · 28/01/2020 13:06

Oh not these skirts, they remind of Irish tap dancing costumes.
Her hair is looking bouncy and shiny, clearly Kate or maybe her hairstylist are lurkers Wink

PiedImperial · 28/01/2020 13:27

I spent what felt like half my life in the Evelina when DS2 was younger (and still do spend too much time there) but never once have we been there when anyone interesting was visiting.

I mean, I would have settled for doctors Chris & Xand, but they never did any filming when we were there either Sad

Re: Kate's outfits, she's going for a lot of rewears lately. Which is great PR for her and so I'm guessing it's not unintentional, but it's not quite so interesting for us on these threads.

queenofarles · 28/01/2020 13:29

When did the affair start ? Was it Before King Alberts marriage to QueenPaola? It says it was an 18 year affair , Sybille was 27 at the time she gave birth and married! The dates don’t add up ! Did they continue to see each other after their child was born?

Paola was beyond beautiful and so elegant.

QueenOfTheAndals · 28/01/2020 13:53

I assume the affair started when Sybille was in her early 20s and continued on and off for the next 18 years.

It’s very Charles/Camilla /Diana triangle isn’t it Queen?

queenofarles · 28/01/2020 14:31

These photos are so beautiful , love her Hermes bag , and I wish this turban trend makes a comeback it’s so elegant, She wore so many beautiful headpieces that are not hats.

Paola was stunning, absolutely stunning. Beatrice Borromeo looks a bit like her but I don't think they're related, although both are from aristocratic Italian families.

I liked Kate's Catherine Walker grey coat with black velvet collar yesterday, and thought it was ideal for the occasion.
I like her tweed jacket and flippy skirt today too, she's certainly got the legs for a short skirt!

QueenOfTheAndals · 28/01/2020 14:36

Speaking of love children, this bloke is clearly a chancer!

I really like Kate’s hair today - this is what it looks like from behind.

Decided editors must be a bit odd making such a fuss of a second of film where a skirt blows up. Wonder if they will make something od Kate not wearing her engagement ring today (rolls eyes)

AudacityOfHope · 28/01/2020 14:50

They'll use any excuse to showcase female bodies, Kate is no exception. Angry

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 28/01/2020 15:41

I've lost count of the times Kate has had her skirt flip up, she must know by now that knee length flippy skirts are going to be risky. It's a bit ra-ra for my liking, very reminiscent of the 'eighties where a tight long jacket would be teamed with a fuller skirt. If that's the way things are going I just hope this doesn't mean a return of the puffball hemline.

AudacityOfHope · 28/01/2020 15:54

To be fair I don't see them on anyone apart from Kate. I am not convinced she's gonna bring them back.

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 28/01/2020 15:57

Love Kate’s hair.

But really skirts blowing in the wind. How hard is it for someone to put weights in? Imagine if that had happened to Meghan!

Lunde · 28/01/2020 16:02

I am somehow getting the feeling that Kate is branching out and saying "sod it - I'm doing and wearing what I want". I think that she always preferred the shorter skirts but allowed herself to get worn down by all of the pearl clutchers who criticized her endlessly for daring to show her legs. She started to dress much older than her years (we even commented that she was dressing like a 50 year old on a previous thread).

The tension in the RF in recent months must have life very stressful and the upshot is that Kate has to do more work (for no additional pay). But Kate seems to have found her confidence and it is noticeable on her engagements.

frugalkitty · 28/01/2020 16:03

Ooh justasking you're right, I don't think I've seen Kate without her engagement ring before. Maybe she read yesterday's comments on here about getting the short straw in the engagement ring discussion and she's told William to stump up for a new one! Grin

FiveTwoFaster · 28/01/2020 16:11

I assume having shadowed those midwives, she knows you’re not meant to wear engagement rings if you “work” in hospitals. Though in my opinion that might be overkill.

So if it hasn’t just slipped round, that would make the most sense.

I like the flippy skirts. She has the best legs ever - what other short skirts should she be put in? I have no imagination.
