As on the previous thread, please critique the outfit rather than criticise the woman and keep Megxit talk for the many many threads already dedicated to that!

Is Kate wearing the Emilia Wikstead tartan skirt in these pictures? .
The photos of the survivors are sad and beautiful at the same time.

paradyning · 27/01/2020 14:03

Camilla's is my all to me favourite. I ta a bit like Angeljna Jolie's to Brad Pitt.
It used to belong to QEQM.

Kate's photos are beautifully lit.

Not too keen on her tartan in tartan with her shoes and skirt.

Ffs. Once more with typos

We've seen your engagement ring Queen and it's really lovely!

beanaseireann · 27/01/2020 14:53

I'd love to see it again QueenoftheAndals.

RomaineCalm · 27/01/2020 14:54

I rather like Kate's tartan shoes! They'd look great with plain 7/8 trousers and a blazer for the more 'informal but smart' engagements. The portraits are beautiful but poignant.

Just looking at the engagement rings I think Sarah F's and Diana/Kate's rings were very much of the time. I'm sure that Elizabeth Duke in the 80's (my only real point of reference at that time) was full of the 'sapphire/emerald/ruby surrounded by diamonds' style of engagement rings - it was definitely a thing.

I think Kate looks very nice today, the dress is slightly dull and I'm not a fan of the tights but her hair and makeup are lovely and she looks in her element.

gingercat02 · 27/01/2020 15:51

The photos I found of Kate and William today have her in a gray and black dress and what looks like black shoes www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1234049/kate-middleton-news-prince-william-UK-Holocaust-Memorial-Day-london-royal-family-news from Daily Express if that helps

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/01/2020 16:02

I think that's a Catherine Walker that she's worn before?

mrscampbellblackagain · 27/01/2020 16:13

Kate looks lovely! She does have very good legs. I suspect the photos make the tights look a little more sheer than in real life.

She looks a little tired than in recent weeks.

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 27/01/2020 16:16

Oh I love that dress!

AudacityOfHope · 27/01/2020 16:18

I like the grey dress but I hate the mimsy fussy collar thing.

mrscampbellblackagain · 27/01/2020 16:20

I love the mimsy collar 😂

RomaineCalm · 27/01/2020 16:40

Not a fan of the grey dress in those pictures. To me it looks as if she's borrowed someone else's clothes - the belt seems very high and it's not quite long enough.

AudacityOfHope · 27/01/2020 16:42

😆 I think if I had to choose a word to sum up her style it would be mimsy.

NoGravyForYou · 27/01/2020 16:43

I'm sure we've seen this grey dress before, recognise it thanks to the collages that a pp has been doing!

TokyoSushi · 27/01/2020 16:45

I'd say that Kate looks fab today!

justasking111 · 27/01/2020 16:47

The dress is very stiff, as if it could stand up on its own. How is that managed?

I like the dress, have an aversion to grey myself, too many years of school uniform.

TokyoSushi · 27/01/2020 16:56

Now I've seen full length, barely black tights are a bit 80's but otherwise I still like it!

itswinetime · 27/01/2020 16:57

She has indeed worn it before on her first joint engagement with the queen in 2019 she wore it with thicker black tights and a thick more chunky heel though. I think it works better with the less chunky shoe..it's appropriate for the event and there is nothing wrong with it but I a bit meh about it don't hate it don't love it.

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/01/2020 16:57

It's a rewear of one she wore last year for an engagement with HM.

OP posts:
QueenOfTheAndals · 27/01/2020 16:59

The dress is entirely appropriate for today's event but I do want to hand her a blending brush for her blusher as it's always on the harsh side.

I think that Kate looked great today, but I'm not a big fan of this coat dress... It is styled a lot better than last time though. Are the stiletto shoes by Gianvito Rossi? They're preferable to the block heel Gianvito Rossi.

Kate has a nice grey dress by Amanda Wakeley that she wore to the Imperial War Museum that I'd like to see again.

The B&W outfit was chic but sort of granny/country chic.
