As on the previous thread, please critique the outfit rather than criticise the woman and keep Megxit talk for the many many threads already dedicated to that!

I wonder if it was the bathtub thing that put them off doing so? Shame if it was, but on the other hand you can just imagine any young Royal woman who wore it being subject to headlines about that photo...

I saw this & thought of us.

A competition to win a hamper of chocolate from the Royal Collection website (& check out the jewellery)

May the best MNetter win Smile

Viscount Linley sold a lot of things he inherited from his mother.
She gave him the house on Mustique to avoid death duties.
Margaret was very upset that he sold it before she died, and bought the house in France ( where Kate was photographed topless)

AudacityOfHope · 25/01/2020 17:50

Now now @TracyBeakerSoYeah if I was to win that I'd officially never fit into any of the royal fashion choices Grin

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 25/01/2020 17:59

Zara had been made a director of Cheltenham race course.
I love her race meet outfits.

Are they any good Tracy? Or are they similar to Fortnums tin biscuits?

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 25/01/2020 19:01

Interesting that Margaret was upset when the house on Mustique was sold Curly, seeing as she blagged it herself from Colin Tennant. He gave her the land as a present and then she asked him to build her a house on it. Apparently the gift cost him very much more than he was expecting!

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 25/01/2020 19:08

queenofarles I haven't tried them personally but have been told they are good.

myimaginarycat one has to admire Margaret's chutzpah, mind you some would say entitled madam!

Spudlet · 25/01/2020 19:59

There's a little bit in Ma'am Darling that describes her going around moving the marker pegs to give herself a larger plot, while Colin Tennant surreptitiously tried to move then back Grin

Apparently Margaret won...!

Jackrusselsarecute · 25/01/2020 20:42

Loved Zara's blue outfit today

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 25/01/2020 23:56

I'd forgotten about the pegs Spudlet! You have to admire the cheek of herGrin

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 25/01/2020 23:57

Chutzpah indeed Tracy!

Catrescue1971 · 26/01/2020 12:27

I'm reading a new book about the royals: "And What Do You Do?" by Norman Baker. I'm pretty sure it will be lacking in royal fashion though I will let you all know if it does refer it. It is a well researched exposure of the royal family, apparently and does aim to be balanced, rather than merely critical.

HMQ and PA on their way to church this morning. I like that red on HMQ but can't make up my mind about the black furry hat - it's pretty startling! Like the darker lipstick though. PA has a jaunty feather in her hat, and I must say that she has excellent legs!

thisenglishlife · 26/01/2020 16:20

Kate's dark green coats - I think these are all of them.

I love those shades of green on Kate. They suit Meghan too. Not a colour for blondes I don't think but great for brunettes and redheads.

StCharlotte · 26/01/2020 18:39

Has the Queen joined the Grenadiers?!

paradyning · 26/01/2020 21:04

I had to double take that StCharlotte. Thought it was a bear hat.
That last coat if Kate's is nice. Gives her a waist.

QueenOfTheAndals · 26/01/2020 21:22

I love the coat with the fur collar and cuffs and the little saucer hats. She's so pretty when she's pregnant. Not that she isn't at other times but being a little fuller in the face really suits her.

Ten pages in and I still have no clue what a furbelow is.

Love the Anne/HM/PM/Diana style retrospective. Swit swoo at 2012 Sophie. Interesting Bea and Eug featured in only one picture (the Zac Posen)

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 27/01/2020 05:15

@thisenglishlife

I saw those photos; they are fantastic.
Great use of her History of Art degree (“in the style of Vermeer”) and her skill as a photographer.
I wonder when we will see the rest?

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 27/01/2020 06:49

They are great photos.

I had a dream that Kate was pregnant again & I was great friends with William & hugging him when they announced they’d had another girl. Then I woke up to reality Crown Grin

beanaseireann · 27/01/2020 07:17

Boscoismyspiritualanimal Great minds think alike- i decided I better look it up.
I just googled it - it's a gathered strip or pleated border of a skirt or petticoat.
I bet very few on this thread know what a Bosco is, though. But you and I do Wink
