Lipstick Challenge January 2020.

Hello lipstick junkies and a very Happy New Year to you all! (And a new decade!)

So, the point of this 'challenge' for any newbies is to go through your lipstick stash and wear a different colour everyday! Pictures are useful (although not mandatory) although colour descriptions are good too! Definitely post brand and shade name/number please!

(So many exclamation marks, can you tell I'm excited? I love this, it's something fun during a dreary month.)

I will begin, I'm wearing L'Oreal matte lipstick in 'Stay the night'. I think it was a Boots exclusive or freebie or something (I got it on eBay.) It's a purple-y wine shade and very comfortable to wear.

No 7 liquid lip. Great colour and staying power.

Today is Rouge Dior 897 which is matte with Kiko jelly on top

Today is Beauty Pie Wondergloss in Cherryo. I normally shy away from reds but it's very sheer so not so scary. I've also discovered that I cannot take a decent photo of my lips - I don't know how you all do it!

Tried again - not very good and just about went cross-eyed trying to do it!

Mac Lady Danger today to brighten up this dull drizzly day here!

@Honeybee85 I have Shiseido Red Queen too- and would say it's probably my favourite lipstick! It's discontinued though

I’m wearing In love with Olivia from Charlotte Tilbury today. It’s very moisturising but lasts well enough for a pale lipstick .

I din't realise how difficult it would be to get a close-up photo of your lips to not look strange! Surely my face does not look that rubbery in real life

I'm also a bit shocked to realise I own 44!!!! lipsticks/glosses!!!

L’Oreal Matte Pink-a-Porter today. Nice staying power and consistency but I I find L’Oreal lipsticks too strongly scented.

Charlotte Tilbury Opium Noir- L/E from 2018. I'm going to wear this more now I think, it's less statementy in the pictures than I thought it would look.

RiskIt4Biscuit I love my LE lipsticks too, esp Fawn. So much so and because I became more addicted to my lippy's last year than ever before, I bought 2 more in case the stock runs out. They're quite long lasting on me which is what I need.

My favourite lippy for ages was Rimmel naughty nude till I decided it was too pink for me and not long lasting enough, I'd stocked up on those as they were discontinued.

I also love Kylie's Candy K Matte lip kit. It stays on for ages and is such a flattering colour on me albeit a tad too dark for daytime although that doesnt stop me, it can dry out your lips though if worn daily hence my purchases of LE Fawn. I won't purchase the Kylie lip kits again unless they are sold in the UK in the future as although her shipping costs are free the UK import charges are not and they're quite steep.

I couldnt find a primark lippy to suit me and tested out all of them. I did buy a Longwear liquid lipstick and lip pencil in 310 by 3ina x Primark which was the only one I liked but it's still not quite right.

Fab idea - I have more lipsticks than you can shake a stick at! Today is a dog walking day, so it’s a Fenty lip gloss (love Fenty) in Fussy

AnotherPinkiePieStory that LE Velvet ribbon looks fantastic on you. It's not a colour I can wear sadly but totally suits you. Her lipsticks have such great colour pay off don't they.

Today, I’m wearing Pat Mcgrath LuxeTrance in Realness. It’s a warm medium-dark pink.
I also bought this during the Black Friday sale so I’ve only tried this on once before, but I am so far really impressed with this formula - it is very comfortable, wears well and has lasted really well.

Not looked at Pat McGrath before but loving the cases. Realness looks very similar to my Chanel Marie which is my current favourite.

Does anyone else struggle to ever finish a lipstick? I have so may even my favourites only get 4 or 5 wears a month.

I can't keep up! I missed the second day, yesterday I wore Kiko velvet passion lipstick in Brown, (it looks like melted chocolate on) and ABH matte lipstick in Midnight, which is black. I love Kiko matte lipsticks, not so much a fan of the ABH ones, which are nearly three times the price. They feel very stiff and a bit draggy, and they don't smell of much, unlike Kiko ones which smell yummy.

Today I'm trying out things from my NYX advent calendar so Slip Tease lip lacquer in Strawberry Whip, a nice mauve, very glossy and pigmented, and Candy Slick in Jawbreaker, a bright red, also glossy and pigmented, and it smells nice too. (I want the rest of them, they have some nice colours in this range, including bright blue. )

I wore MAC Viva glam iii today. I really want to love it, it's a plum/brown colour and looks so nice on Pinterest but on me is just too brown and not massively flattering.
Must try a happier colour tomorrow, loving all the reds on here.

Today was benetint lip stain but no photo. I used to really like it but for some reason I don’t think it suits me anymore and can’t quite put my finger on why.

Yes love them tantric. Sitting on hands to avoid buying all of them!
lucked think I’ve finished 3 in my life (40). Either lose them or break them or they seem to go off!

Today is LE velvet muse. Great nude colour for me.

Today is my everyday lipstick. L’Oréal colour riche 258 berry blush. I have about four of these in various handbags. It’s very moisturising, my lips but better shade, and I can just about apply it without a mirror! Plus I think it makes my teeth look whiter than most other lipsticks - bonus.

Some lovely colours here especially the opium noir CT one above space.
