Lipstick Challenge January 2020.

Hello lipstick junkies and a very Happy New Year to you all! (And a new decade!)

So, the point of this 'challenge' for any newbies is to go through your lipstick stash and wear a different colour everyday! Pictures are useful (although not mandatory) although colour descriptions are good too! Definitely post brand and shade name/number please!

(So many exclamation marks, can you tell I'm excited? I love this, it's something fun during a dreary month.)

I will begin, I'm wearing L'Oreal matte lipstick in 'Stay the night'. I think it was a Boots exclusive or freebie or something (I got it on eBay.) It's a purple-y wine shade and very comfortable to wear.

I may join in later in the month but have a crappy virus thing at the moment and have no enthusiasm for ANYTHING, not even lipstick! Will be watching with interest though......

Revlon balm crayon in honey for me today, quite subtle, but nice enough

Yesterday was a no make up day.

Today’s just looks like lip balm on - Dr Perricone No Makeup Lipstick. Think I got it in one of my advent calendars. I’ll use it up but won’t re buy.

Yesterday, I wore Pat Mcgrath LuxeTrance lipstick in Profumo, a cream finish warm medium pink.
It was the first time I wore it (only just got it after ordering it during the black Friday sale) and it was so lovely and lasted well. The colour is quite different than my other lipsticks.

Today was Lisa Eldridge Velvet Fawn, a matte peachy beige - a great warm nude for me. LE’s lipsticks are fantastic.

Today is Lisa Eldridge Velvet Ribbon. My current favourite lipstick and I have hundreds! So glad you agree Riskit. I’m going to try fawn next.

Yesterday - a tinted lip balm for work, bit summery, will use later in the year.

That was No7 btw. Probably from a beauty box of theirs.

Inc redible glazin over in vibes tribe. These are quite pigmented glosses, look nice on but are a right faff to apply. This one is nicer than I remembered tho, so might use more often.

Today I am wearing Mac cremesheen lipstick in Creme in your Coffee. I tend to wear gloss more than lipstick but these cremesheen ones are a good compromise I find.

What a great thread! I have several tips already and am loving the photos especially. May I join on Monday when I go back to work and start wearing makeup again?

Today I'm wearing an old Aldi Lacura lip butter stick - it doesn't say on the stick what colour it is but the picture is fairly true to it. It's old! I'll be gutted when it runs out, they probably don't do it any more.

Lots of lipsticks dry my lips out. Is Primark lipstick moisturising, or can anyone recommend a “non-drying” lipstick.

Today I wore Shiseido Rouge Rouge in ‘Red Queen’ (I see now the lipstick looks a bit smeared in the picture )

May I join, too, please? I'm at work and tried to take a photo but couldn't.

I'm wearing NARS let's go crazy lip pencil which I love, but the one I have atm broke very soon after I'd bought it in duty free and it must've been dropped because I've lost loads due to breakage. Optimism has won out so I bought another one later last year in duty free. It's quite matte but doesn't dry out my lips like many matte lipsticks.

I'm wearing the lip liner that was in the Debenhams advent calendar. Pencil/crayon is so thick, I'm wearing it as a lipstick and liner

I wore Primark Rosewood mauve today and was impressed by its staying power!

I recommend Revlon raisins. Really comfortable and are my go to when other brands dry my lips.

Charlotte Tilbury Miss Kensington, a pinky nude.

I find CT lipsticks a bit hit and miss regarding quality; some are really good and apply really well. Others are patchy and wear quite badly and don’t last for very long on the lips.
This particular one emphasises any lines and dry bits, and if rubbing my lips together, I notice bald spots where the lipstick has come off.

The colour however is surprisingly wearable - it is lighter than the nude lipsticks I usually gravitate towards, but I have used it a lot.

2nd Chanel Suzanne. I am pale and this is as dark as I go, I feel quite chic in it.

3rd Guerlain. kiss Kiss shaping lipstick in Coral. Picked this as my lips are a bit dry (got a cold) and it is moisturising.

I have realised my mistake in that both the above are work friendly and I have worn them on non work days! I will wear bolder and brighter ones over the weekend to save my work stock. I have 16 working days so I might separate that many because I don’t want any repeats this year!

Pinkie I really want the Lisa Eldridge Velvet Ribbon as it looks lush.

riskit really not a CT lipstick fan either. My fave colour red carpet runs worse than cheapies but can’t bring myself to pass it on!

Love this thread! I rarely ware make up but am willing to give this a whirl to use up what I have (a lot of soap and glory tinted lip balms mostly but it's a start)
