Starting a thread to discuss the contents as we hit December.

Who is getting this one this year?

This was my very first beauty calendar last year and it’s definitely got me addicted. I loved it!

This year you can order the calendar from 31st October. Price is £40 when you spend £25 at M&S. Contents are worth over £300.

Please don’t discuss the contents ahead of time on here as most people don’t want to know (or as in my case, read then forget!).

I love today's offering of the aveda hair repair full size so it should last a while!

Loved this and very good start to have a decent sized product! I also am wary with hair products as am curly, and use Be Curly by Aveda only. But I’m happy to give this a go.

Kids went downstairs and told DH I had for a ‘damaged hair’ in my calendar!

I’m also curly but the curly girl method didn’t do much for my hair so I’m happy to try whatever now (I’m guessing I’ll have to put my usual curl product on top of this).

Chrysanthemum5 all seems well now, thank you. The first box I opened last year was for hair too, and I didn’t have any at the time. Made me chuckle though!

I’m going to try and keep my box to refill this year. I’ve seen empty ones on eBay in previous years too.

I think I will keep this one to refill for my mum next year. I like the idea of reusing them.

I am v.pleased with this. This is my first yr for M&S and impressed so far. I have quite sun damaged hair at the mo so this should be well worth a try.

The box is beautiful! I have had M&S calendars for the past couple of years and still have the boxes in the loft as they are too lovely to throw away!

I gave my old boxes to a friend who does craft projects. She was thrilled.

I was a bit underwhelmed by this one from the outside box, but the inside is lovely. Just need to work out the best way of opening.

Ah poop . First one and I am due to lose my hair in the next couple of weeks due to chemo .
I spent time this morning wrestling with making a chemo head cover that I am pleased with so all is not bad !
Never mind. I will gift it on .

Well that's a smashing start to advent. I'm joining the thread this year as it made me so happy last year, felt like I was part of a little gang.

Just owned mine and I'm well impressed. I've never used it before - is it best to put it mainly on the ends of longer hair?

You could always save it as a treat for when you are on the road to recovery Trumpton?

Good luck Trumpton I lived in stretchy oversized beanies from Amazon in the end. I still wear them now around the house as I’m still wearing a wig. My hair is coarse and too short (Rene of Paris do some fabulous wigs)

I have a wig voucher coming next week and an appointment with the hairdresser .
I will prob gift it to one of my grown up daughters .
Hoping for dark nail polish tomorrow !

I just opened day one and think it’s a good item but had spoiled myself as watched unboxings and could remember what day 1 and day 25 were. Also got this in my Autumn FanFitFun and so not sure whether to keep this for next year or give it to my mum 🤷🏻‍♀️

@ReeRi thanks for the reminder on where I’ve had this before! I’m not great with hair stuff and I’m having to make a conscious effort to use up the stuff I get in these things so I’ve not actually opened the one I already have yet!

Do you get FFF @eatsleepmoverepeat? I haven’t been loving FFF recently. I have used this product and I assume it’s good for my hair but haven’t noticed any effects to be honest. It’s a good consistency as a first step after washing my very curly hair...

I'm so excited, this is my first beauty advent calendar - actually my first TWO as I've got the Formula one as I needed some face cream and it was only £7 more!

@ReeRi I only got the autumn one and really didn’t love it so I cancelled! It’s only great value if you’re actually going to use what you get and I was underwhelmed

I was underwhelmed at first but then looked in the mirror and thought ‘actually, maybe this is ideal’! Good size though! I missed out last year so this year I was there at 8am on Halloween to make sure I got a m&s calendar!!
