Starting a thread to discuss the contents as we hit December.

Who is getting this one this year?

This was my very first beauty calendar last year and it’s definitely got me addicted. I loved it!

This year you can order the calendar from 31st October. Price is £40 when you spend £25 at M&S. Contents are worth over £300.

If you do want to know the full contents you can find them over at ReallyRee (SPOLIERS!).

Please don’t discuss the contents ahead of time on here as most people don’t want to know (or as in my case, read then forget!).

Mine is Dolce too. Far too brown for me. I’ve just looked on the back and there are 4 colour options. I would have preferred any of the others!
On another note I’m still loving the calendar. I tried not to look at the contents when I bought it and am enjoying the surprises and trying new things. I’ve had it for 3 years now and still enjoy it. I think complaints about it being ‘samey’ are odd. What were people expecting from the M&S beauty section?!

@AndAnon Mine is red and the shade is Beso. I'm pleased with it although I don't normally have the confidence to wear red lipstick.

Would also swap the sweet peach Shay and Blue for a Beso Stilla!

Mine is caramello. I had this lipstick in a previous calendar and unfortunately it made my lips look like dried out prunes
It will make a lovely stocking filler though for my DD.
Only 4 more boxes to go, which is making me sad.

I have dolce and really like the colour! I have used a bit of everything so far and will most likely get one next year as well.

I got dolce. I’m not sure about the colour but I’ve looked up the others and don’t think I’d have gone for any of those either. Will try it to see what I think of the product itself.

I’m sad, I fancied a lipstick but the shade isn’t one that will suit me....I am very pale

I’ve got Beso but it’s not red?

This is a great pick for many people for a Christmas calendar but it's not a colour I would wear. So I think it's a good item from M&S but personally it'll go in the swap box. Shame as I really liked last year's Stila lip colour and that shade was great for me.

Just read the last messages. Mine says beso and is definitely a bright, classic red! If anyone wants that I'll swap for any other colour. But it may end up as a general swap.

I opened this yesterday in error.

I got the bright red one. I wear bright red on occasion and put it on as I was going to a Christmas party. Oh dear, it ages me terribly. Maybe I’m too old now for a bright red. Made me look like a clown. Then it wouldn’t rub off. I put my normal colour over the top and it muted it, and lasted well.

Anyone have any tips to put it on without it looking garish? I scrapped most off on the side of the tube, but there was loads left and I looked faintly ridiculous.

I just opened yesterday and think it is a nice brush. I also wouldn’t keep it in my brush pot as I wouldn’t want the brush touching the bottom for the pot, and it could ruin, but I would use it for taking out etc like I’d I’m putting a little palette and a brush

Just opened today’s and think it is nice. I know people wanted a red lipstick! I don’t really wear red though. I got Beso so going to look up the other colours to see if I’m more likely to wear them.

Honestly my favourite brush is a double ended eyeshadow brush which I use everyday (and wash all the time). I store it in a pot and it hasn't ruined it at all. Brushes are light so their weight doesn't push the lower bristles out of shape if they're stored that way.

I got Caramello which I already have the full sized version of so I’d be happy to swap. I love these Stila lipsticks - Patina is the best though

Well it looks like caramello is a light nude, baci is a pink which I wouldn’t use. Dolci looks like a darker nude / brown which I would maybe wear. Not sure which I prefer or beso or dolci 🤔 Good product though!

I got caramello. I'm very happy. I have a similar one in the range, perla. I love stila after discovering it in this calendar 2 years ago!

I got caramello in mine, it's good that m&s put a range of shades out. Sadly this colour does nothing for me and the bit I tried dried my lips out and wasn't a nice texture for me. Never mind, am still loving the calendar and will probably buy it again ject year.

Happy to swap two things for one Stilla red Beso! I got Dolce but also have Perla from last year so happy to swap either of those plus one other item.

Pixi gold minty lip gloss, Lancôme highlighter, eyeliner pen, eyeliner pencil, Mermaid Shimmer Sorbet, windy Lux purple eyeshadow, Lord and Berry blush, POP eyeshadow trio.

I got beso (red) which I opened and tried on my hand. V v much doubt I’ll use it but a bit of excitement none the less!

If anyone did want to swap - ideally for some skin care - I’m happy to but do note I have opened it as per above.

I got besco and while it's not a colour I would wear often it's great for a night out.

The last few days have been a lot better in my opinion and will keep them. I've given a lot of the early stuff to my daughter.

My lip colour appears to be shade Corpse Mauve.

Horrible!
