M&S Beauty Advent Calendar 2019

Starting a thread to discuss the contents as we hit December.

Who is getting this one this year?

This was my very first beauty calendar last year and it’s definitely got me addicted. I loved it!

This year you can order the calendar from 31st October. Price is £40 when you spend £25 at M&S. Contents are worth over £300.

If you do want to know the full contents you can find them over at ReallyRee (SPOLIERS!).

Please don’t discuss the contents ahead of time on here as most people don’t want to know (or as in my case, read then forget!).

Really pleased with today's! I was initially a bit disappointed with nail varnish as I don't wear it much but this is a lovely colour! Wearable and festive!

Yes, loving the colour! I read the 'clue' on the side of the box and inwardly sighed, assuming it would be the obvious red polish - I already have several including last year's. So was delighted with this which is gorgeous. Going to put it on today!

I do my own gel nails so won't be using this polish but it is a gorgeous colour. I'm putting it in my daughters stocking as I know she'll love it.
I didn't get last years calendar but I did get one the year before, which I enjoyed but this years is far superior IMO.

You can paint over gels and wipe it off using acetone free remover without spoiling the gel finish !

The polish is lovely, just right for the run up to Christmas. I've painted it over one of my already polished nails and it looks great.

I was up at 6.10 and out by 6.35 this morning so only got round to opening my calendar 40 minutes ago. Liked the colour then was t sure once on but actually it looks better with two coats. Just annoying as when one goes over the painted nail it removes what's already there a little.

It’s a lovely colour but I only wear black, silver or blue. Warm colours just look odd on me. One to give to DS(ister). Have loved everything else so far!

Trying the new nail polish tonight. Goes on nicely and lovely colour. I have a few similar already but nice enough. Hoping for something special tomorrow.

Was a bit meh at nail polish at first because I have gels but the colour is so lovely I've already painted my toes tonight!

Also used the REN night cream and really like it. Looking forward to the morning. I haven't looked at the list at all so have no idea what to expect each day!

Not impressed with today’s - still got last years.... plus it’s the second night cream in 8 days ?!?

However, overall loving the Calendar so far, much better than previous ones..

I already use this night cream so whilst it's not a new, exciting product for me, it will definitely be used. I expect I'll save it for travelling.

Agree. A repeat of a nightcream and a repeat of a brand. Meh.

I've used this night cream before and it clogged my pores so I'll be passing it on.

I love this night cream, and repurchased after last calendar (partly cos it's not overpriced). However it's far from exciting or new!

I feel a bit underwhelmed with the contents so far this year; I think last year had more variety though I can't remember in any detail.The only products I really like are the Aveda hair stuff and the kohl pencil. Holding out for some Emma Hardie stuff which is always my favourite

I really liked this cream last year so I will use it, but it’s hardly exciting. Most of my calendars are a bit meh today!

Which other ones do you have Writers?
I have had an M&S one for the past 3 years but I think this will be the last year as it's getting a bit samey! On the lookout for a good alternative for next year...

I'm not disappointed but not excited either. Today's offering will go away so I can take on holiday with me in the summer. I'm still using the REN one which I really like. Might buy that again. Your nails look lovely @Babysharkdoodoodood and I second the stove envy Smile

@IToldYouIWasFreaky - I also have Glossybox, Grazia, Latert in Beauty and Holland & Barrett. The latter is by far the best of the bunch, and it was the cheapest.
