August holiday princessing?

Anyone up for this please?

We are planning a holiday (though haven't actually booked anything yet) in August school holidays. I am in need of much princessing 😬.

My plan is:

  • healthy eating; plenty of fruit, veg, wholefoods, lots of water. As my name would suggest, I am a bit of a fatkins at the mo Blush, so losing a few lbs would be a good idea.
  • minimum of four days a week with no Wine or Gin.
  • lots of water.
  • less caffeine.
  • yoga every day, including two - three classes.
  • less screen time, except kindle, which doesn't have the 'bad' light.
  • exfoliate daily.
  • file feet daily.
  • paint toes weekly.
  • buff and file finger nails a few times a week.
  • use gradual tan lotion stuff.
  • curly girl method for hair and also speak to wonderful hairdresser about growing hair without it going to pieces.
  • wardrobe clear out and reorganise.
  • ask about teeth whitening at dentist.

I'm sure there are more, but that's all I can think of for now!

Would love some company Smile.

I shiney-ed up my nails with a buffer (I cannot wear polish at work and I CBA for a couple of days only)

I can really recommend the Superdrug own brand heel balm. About half the price of Flexitol and just as effective.

I have stupidly let myself get sunburnt. I was that busy topping up the DCs suncream that I only paid attention to my face and chest. My shoulders and upper back are all pink Sad. It's not too bad, but I feel very silly.

In other news, I've signed up to WW online. It seems fairly sensible. Fresh fruit & veg, lean protein etc are zero points. Fingers crossed it works for me.

Can I join please? We are away on hols at the end of July. I've got 4 working weeks til then and have been on keto for about a month so far. Aiming to shift another 7lbs before we go. Will also do regular hair masks, face masks and feet masks before we go.

I've just had my hair cut, eyebrows waxed and shellac done and will aim to keep this up too.

Where is everyone off on hols to? We're going to Phuket, it's only 6 hours from where we live currently. Cannot wait.

Having had both lash extensions and LVL which is a lash lift I can highly recommend the LVL. It is really low maintenance and coupled with a tint really makes a big difference.

Haircut - I'm growing it this year so it needed to be trimmed to even up and take the dead ends off

Armpits - used the Nads Sugaring

Italian Korean scrub last night - Hell my bum is smooth Grin

Salad yesterday - way too hot to cook

Face pack , hair mask, body lotion, night cream .

I drink loads of water anyway ( menopausal flushes)

Sorted out some summer clothes , in the wash now . Went through my wardrobe , put everything in colour order and found some things I'd forgotten about .

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. It's been lovely here today but sooooo hot yesterday. Luckily yoga was in the morning so it was still quite cool in the studio. Had a nice afternoon out at a national trust place nearby.

I'm considering adding a bit of fasting to the mix diet-wise this week... Nothing drastic, maybe just 16:8, if anyone's heard of that?

I'm still doing curly girl and so far it's been ok. I have my appointment at the hairdresser next week and I think a bit of a tidy up will make a huge difference.

Looking forward to another week's princessing! Hope everyone else is too Smile.

Can I join in? I’m not going on holiday until winter but I need an aim. I want to lose a few stone and get tidied up as I’m going away with an effortlessly glam woman and I’m as far from that as possible.

Plans:
Keep up with my nails
Lose 2 stone (start with slimfast and then move onto something else)
Yoga
Kettle bells
Lumea legs and bikini line into non existence.
Pumice feet
Whiten teeth
Continue to get eyebrows done regularly
Get my eyelash permed every couple of months
2-3L of water a day
Use body lotion every day
Oil on elbows and knees every night.

I'm guessing 16:8 is you can eat only within an 8 hour window of the day (so if it was 8am till 4pm then fasting after that? )

Tomorrow is July 1st . I May well start on a Better Eating Endeavour .

(June wasn;t . There were two birthdays and I was visiting family so it all went a bit Pete Tong)
But tomorrow is another month.

Yes, 16:8 is exactly that 70. I don't know if I'd just end up overeating in the eight hour eating window Blush.

Happy July all!

It is now 25 days until my holiday. I need to up the ante a little. Have been using overnight sleep masks each evening and my skin feels nice and moisturized. Will do a foot pack at some point this week. Also had under eye jelly mask on last night as we had new corporate photos taken today and wanted to look fresh.

Sticking with keto. Really want a 2-3lbs drop this week.

Ha @Snipples !! The story of our summer lives eh? We go through this winter hibernation phase growing claws and then once the sun stays out for longer than 2hours, we consider it spring and get filing away to reveal manicured paws.Grin

Bought a concealer from Revolution today in my colour!!! And a couple of box dresses. Also bought some sun block as we forgot last holiday (Germany 40C) and felt like very irresponsible parents on the beach .

Will do another hair mask this eve. Good old L'Oréal elvive one this time.

Yep a new month for new motivation!
After a few weeks of really healthy eating and very little alcohol I feel off the wagon big time this weekend, in fact I fell off got run over and reversed over a few times
Oh well on the plus side I'm back on it today and I've finally started the 30 day shred again. I couldn't find my small weights so ended up using dhs 5kg weights bloody hell it was hard!
It took about an hour for my muscles to stop twanging!

I also faked tanned last night and blow dried and straightened my hair this morning.

I'm also doing 16:8 it really does help.

@Snipples Phuket sounds amazing I really really want to go to Thailand. We are going to Marbella (the nice Spanish-y bit not the towie bit) for the last week of the summer hols with the kids.

Hey all. Happy July. I've kept up with epilating my legs, every other day for a week. It really does get easier with the pain when you keep a routine going. Legs are abit dry so need some TLC. I've just ordered Sanctuarys hot body scrub. My face is in a good place at the mo, kept up to a good routine of washing with a neutral soap, salicylic acid cream for my stupid adult acne and a basic Nivea moisturizer for the dryness. My skin feels glowing and I've had a few compliments today. My diet hasn't been great but I'm getting in plenty of water and had a decrease in appetite due to the hot weather. How is everyone getting on? Any wow buys or life changing treatments to tip the rest of us?

I’m pampering my feet tonight with some of those foot bags. I am also whitening my teeth at the same time with some Crest strips my sister brought back from America. I’m about to send DD13 upstairs to grab a couple of sheet masks that we can both apply whilst watching Dawson’s Creek (blast from the past).

I did two 20 min sessions with kettle bells today. I have yoga and a long walk tomorrow.

Then Lumea has been out and zapping my underarms.

And I’ve had 2.5l of water.

Sounds good Scarybunny I've just done a 20 min yoga session and will be having a long walk tomorrow. The good thing about this heat is that it encourages a massive water intake. Does anyone else lose their appetite in the hot weather?

Ha no I don't ever lose my appetite - but since doing keto I'm def not as hungry as no sugar cravings now.

I've been making a big effort to drink more water. And drinking loads of mint tea too. Only downside is I need to pee constantly but can't worry about that!

I have one of those foot mask things that is meant to melt dead skin so must get that out at the weekend.

I can't do the sodding weighted hula hoop thing. I've also put ON weight despite 1300 calories a day, I'm on a new pill and I don't know whether its settling in or not for me so it may be that. But I'm all bloated and wobbly. I can't get my trousers or skirts done up.
I've also now ballooned from a 28f to a 28h in the last few weeks, none of my bikinis fit and I have no money to buy anymore.
I hope this isn't permanent. My upper back stings something rotten.

I've dyed my hair though and used a protein treatment and now it's all swishy and lovely.

Sadly, no appetite loss here either! I also wish I did lose my appetite a bit in the sun... or at all 😂.

I had an annoying day yesterday and hit the snacks somewhat. I'm being much better today though. Positively angelic! But it's only 11:30 😬.

I also feel enormous just now, so I desperately need to stick to this. I can't get much fatter or I will be in a right pickle.
