I cannot believe we are at 951 pages already. How on earth did that happen???

Ellapaella · 18/05/2019 19:18

Not too good today - going to the out of hours to see doctor at 9pm for different antibiotics. The pain! Not a happy Ella today 😢
On the bright side kitchen is coming along nicely. Farrow and Ball paint is perfect - all there is to do now is put the skirting on the bottoms of the units, fix blinds to windows and we have a lovely copper hanging light to be fitted over the island - and radiator to be reconnected. Here are some before and after shots..

Heating on here as well, ooh great service again Laska

Laska2Meryls · 18/05/2019 20:27

Your hair looks beautiful Each
ella such a kitchen transformation! love the brick wall, and if thats a Stioes range cooker we have the same one! (only white) . Our kitchen is small, but functions well, but it does need a refresh. We shall probably do that later this year Thinking new worktops and cupboard/ drawer fronts But our house is fairly open plan and we do have a separate utility room and dining room , so lack of space in the kitchen isnt a problem.

Len I like the colour of those trainers and ribbon laces are a great idea.. Have you also looked at Moshulu? They have some nice canvas shoes and trainers..

Ellapaella · 18/05/2019 20:38

Lovely hair each

dontcallmelen · 18/05/2019 20:39

I haven’t Laska will take a look, that’s the one thing I miss about our old house had a lovely big separate utility room, here just have a utility cupboard.

Laska2Meryls · 18/05/2019 20:41

Stoves Range cooker Ella sorry, typo

Laska2Meryls · 18/05/2019 20:44

Len my Moshulu catalogue has a free delivery code ( up to 20th) BEETLE

Ellapaella · 18/05/2019 20:53

It is a range cooker - not sure if its Stove.. I'll have a look when I get home (currently have a hot date with an out of ours GP and waiting to be seen). 'Tis a beast of a cooker though.. I love it!

Laska2Meryls · 18/05/2019 21:03

I hope the Doc can help ella

dontcallmelen · 18/05/2019 21:08

Cheers Laska I’m getting bloody obsessed by trainers & I don’t even really like them, it’s all soups & your fault for posting the grey & the gold ash ones😂

GinandGingerBeer · 18/05/2019 21:25

Sorry you're no better @ella and I hope the GP sorts you out pronto. WinkThanks
Your kitchen is gorgeous! I hate ours and unfortunately it still looks the same as when we first did it so I've no chance of getting DH to agree to replace, especially as we still have plenty of other things in the house to do......
I can't decide on a full on gown or throwover.... I might pop into Within reason, which is the local shop that sells 100 stars and have a look.
Completely wasted the day today and I had so much to do ☹️ DH is bringing me some melatonin back from America so hopefully I'll get a full nights sleep tomorrow night!

Huffthepuff · 18/05/2019 21:31

Love the kitchen Ella! Looks great. We have a teeny tiny cottage kitchen with no cupboards, but it's 'charming'. Jealous of all your space!

neveradullmoment99 · 18/05/2019 22:14

Hope you feel better soon @ella. Let us know how you get on :)

Ellapaella · 18/05/2019 22:29

Thanks everyone. I was seen very quickly at the Walk in centre by a lovely and very sympathetic GP. Testament to the fact I talk too much I had his whole life history in ten minutes and now know all about the extra shifts he's having to do to pay for his kids school fees, where he met his wife and where he grew up and then went to university! I am very nosey...
anyhoo I left with a weeks course of a different (more specific) antibiotic which will hopefully start working ASAP as I am utterly miserable. Usually they only give you 3 days treatment but I talked him into giving me a weeks supply.
In bed now with a hot water bottle, herbal tea and about to watch the last of series 3 line of duty on iPlayer. If it weren't for the horrendous burning/stinging it'd almost be a pleasant Saturday night!
Hope you all enjoy your evenings - have a glass of something nice for me.

justilou1 · 18/05/2019 23:03

@Ella, poor you.... until you said burning and stinging I assumed you were talking about your sinuses again. I’m now assuming you’re suffering from that almost universal female design flaw? I had that a lot when I was a little girl, but seem to have grown out of it for now, thank goodness! (Doesn’t bode well for the other side of menopause according to my more alternative therapy friends - oh joy!) Hope the drugs work ASAP! Big hugs!!!

@Each- can I ask which drugs you are using for your hair? Mine is coming out in clumps and derm has concluded that I don’t have alopecia or telogen effluvium, but a combination of both male and female pattern balding. I have about 1/4 the amount of hair I did three months ago. I feel if I don’t get appropriate treatment ASAP, it will be too late. (Doctors have been blaming stress and medication, but I had been on the medication for two years without my hair falling out!)

twosoups1972 · 18/05/2019 23:40

@melen the trainers are fab and look a lot more expensive than £10. They look like laska's Chester trainers.

twosoups1972 · 18/05/2019 23:44

@ella poor you, wish you better soon. Kitchen looks great!

@each lovely bouncy hair Smile

GinandGingerBeer · 19/05/2019 00:21

@ella do you know what, that's a very familiar story (not the gps life story! I mean having to go back for the specific anti biotic and a 7 day course of it ). I now have it on my notes that from the off I need 7 days of 'X' type anti b. The last time it happened, and I had to go back, i ended up vomiting all over the walk in centre floor BlushBlushThe 3 day course GP guidelines say to prescribe just don't work for a fully blown UTI. Lots of threads on here about it.
The good news is you have the right anti b now and you'll feel better after a couple of doses.
