Oh dear @gin!!!

neveradullmoment99 · 17/05/2019 19:53

Where are you meant to be?

trader21c · 17/05/2019 19:54

Hey does anyone have the wren or Joyce jackets ... slightly concerned the Joyce is a tad short - has anyone got? Thanks muchly

GinandGingerBeer · 17/05/2019 19:55

I'm meant to be in Sheffield

neveradullmoment99 · 17/05/2019 19:56

@Trader, there are 3 people that have the wren. If you look back a few pages there is a picture of one of them wearing it :)
No idea about the Joyce.

neveradullmoment99 · 17/05/2019 19:57

I take it that's pretty far @gin!!

neveradullmoment99 · 17/05/2019 19:58

I have no concept living in Scotland.
How long will it take you to get back?

GinandGingerBeer · 17/05/2019 20:08

It's an hour, not too bad but I left Liverpool at 5pm and would have been back by 7.10pm. Hey ho. Large gin when I get home. GinGin

neveradullmoment99 · 17/05/2019 20:17

Absolutely a large gin Grin
My home is the last stop on the train. I rarely take the train tbh.

GinandGingerBeer · 17/05/2019 20:22

Love the turquoise sweater Ella. I was eyeing that up today. I didn't buy any hush, it was a very small concession in Liverpool.
Didn't buy much full stop!
The H&M skirt
Two tops to go with it, from top shop.
Some sandals, also top shop.
OMG though if you're ever in Liverpool, you must go to Lush. It's their flagship store and it's amazing.
There's a hair salon, spa, beauty bar, perfumery, vinyl lounge , florist, make up counters and coffee bar.
The staff are excellent. Got a sample of their hair moisturiser for curly hair. A massive sample at that!

neveradullmoment99 · 17/05/2019 20:23

I do love lush. We have one in Glasgow and it smells gorgreous. All the soaps look edible!

neveradullmoment99 · 17/05/2019 20:25

I was wanting the H&M long denim shirt on their website. Sadly sold out and it seems it runs small.

neveradullmoment99 · 17/05/2019 20:25

Cause they have a 12 but I find things are neat on me on the hips.

GinandGingerBeer · 17/05/2019 20:25

Also bought cookie dough lip scrub and hand gurugu hand cream

GinandGingerBeer · 17/05/2019 20:27

Train conductor let me off the fare at least......

Ellapaella · 17/05/2019 20:30

@GinandGingerBeer oops!
Will you have long to wait for another train?
Lush Karma Soap is the most divine smell in the world. I have a bar on the go in my bathroom all the time and it gives off a lovely smell.

Talisin · 17/05/2019 20:40

@dontcallmelen I’ve had a shot at the khaki trainers so:

Nike

Chipie (never heard of them!)

Superga

NotAnActualSheep · 17/05/2019 20:46

Oh no gin! Nottingham is one of those places that seems really difficult to get to from anywhere... Though not from Sheffield, obviously... At least you had an understanding conductor! I have a fear of doing that, so I usually can't fall asleep on trains... Sounds like you had a good day though.

I can't cope with the smell of lush shops. They make me 🤧. Which is a shame, as the products are supposed to be lovely (I'm also not 100% happy with their ethics... but that's another thing). DS and DH went in one the other week and both came out blue from one of the Bath bomb samples they were shown... Good sized sample, though!

soy - your poor DH. Hope he recovers soon. I still have flashbacks to driving lessons with my DF. I think it was immensely stressful for us both tbh! Didn't last long... Ended up throwing £££at a driving instructor, as I just couldn't cope! So I'm very impressed.

soups - hope you have a brilliant time! I love VW.. so v jealous (the first CD I bought with my own money was one of her songs... I was an odd child..) Also, I know exactly what you mean about staying in hotels by yourself. I secretly love going for work... especially if I've been organised and done the work I need to beforehand, and don't have meetings/socialising to do. Love sitting and people watching in the bar, or using the pool, or just lounging in the bed watching trashy telly... Luxury.

ella - poor you! Hope you're feeling better soon. And yy to taking care of yourself... Sounds like you're a bit run down.

trader yes, I have the wren and love it. Seriously - size down though... Hang on.. I'll try a photo in the next post... Not tried the joyce though.

NotAnActualSheep · 17/05/2019 20:50

This is the Wren.. the khaki is a 10 and the blue a 12. I'm usually a 12 up top and 14 hips, but even the 10 is roomy at the bottom. (Excuse rest of the outfit...not a great combo!) And new sandals Grin

I love the colour of the first dress, fuzzy, very Cornwall-like in a good way.

Gorgeous bag, laska - does it have a closure at all?

Currently taking a break at a Costa just outside Perth. About 100 miles to go.

ella, that sounds torture. Hope you feel better soon.

Laska2Meryls · 17/05/2019 21:10

oh heck, seeing the size 10 wren on you not (which looks so different on me) I must say that I must be officially fat sad
oh well, I am on diet..

Laska2Meryls · 17/05/2019 21:17

No, no closure, Cherriesa nd although I love it, DH has vetoed it ,for our holiday anyway, as he says we cannot get it our Easy Jet allowance (along with our ever-so-practical rucksacs), so it is probably going back..Sad

Ellapaella · 17/05/2019 21:31

Like both the jackets @NotAnActualSheep - are you keeping both?

Anybody who wants to stay and chat to distract me - show me nice things! I'm in bloody agony - paracetamol, oasis sachet and gallons of water and I'm still curled up in bed with no relief from the horrible burning.

@ilovecherries that sounds like a marathon drive.. how long does it take? Takes me 5 hours to get to my parents house, it's such a long journey and it troubles me as they get older. When they may need more help or if something happens I'm very aware of how far away they are. How often do you see them?

Ellapaella · 17/05/2019 21:31

@Laska2Meryls where are you going for your holidays?
