Let's see your non hideous sandals then!

On every thread where someone posts a picture of sandals to ask for advice, theres always a chorus of 'hideous', 'granny', 'fugly' etc. So please share some photos of sandals that you think are nice, stylish, chic, non-stomach-churning, whatever. Bear in mind that many of us need sandals to be comfortable and suitable for lots of walking. I promise no snarky comments!

Proper I got them from Debenhams.

I love birkenstocks and was informed that they were totally on trend last year by several of dds fashion conscious friends.

evilharpy they are gorgeous, my kind of sandal. I love Moda in Pelle shoes.

Sandals are so polarising and I'll add to the polarity by saying that most of the ones on the thread you couldn't pay me to wear!!!!!

Thank goodness for choice, so there's something for everyone.

I have a very curved foot so often find a problem with strappy sandals not coming low enough to be comfortable across my little toe. Often the strap across the foot is too high so my little toe pokes out.

I have very large and wide feet and have a pair of Tevas that are over 15 years old. I wear them every day from May to October, four miles a day at the beach, and there's hardly any wear on the soles at all. I've just treated myself to a second pair.

I am not sure what this thread is about, posting what we have (and therefore think it's stylish), or posting comfortable sandals, regardless of appearance? I am afraid I find ugly/frumpy most sandals posted so far.

I understand of course it is really subjective, as the sandal depends on the feet, just like clothes depend on the body type. I confess I do own some sliders with birkenstock type sole, but the are navy glitter and really lovely to look at imo :) and of course only worn casually for chores, gym run, shopping, hols... never for work or going out-out.

I like a gladiator myself, so to speak. Just got these yesterday; very comfortable. I know black is a no no for many people, but I like them.

Not leather but still feel v soft and comfortable.
I'm normally a 6.5 but the 6 fits fine

@Drogosnextwife which ones have you ordered- the TopShop ones or the Birkenstock's?
TopShop ones are very comfy - can definitely vouch for them. I've just ordered the Birkenstock's so can report back.

Thanks Margot - if the ones I've just ordered aren't a good fit I'm ordering them. I have very wide feet though so find it hard to get sandals that are comfortable and stylish.

I agree, for what is meant to be a thread on stylish and pretty sandals, there sure are some ugly horrors on here!

@PinkLipsDontLie to be fair if those are your legs and feet in those photos then you'd probably make even the most fugly of sandals look stylish as you have very pretty legs and feet!

I've got these Ugg sandals, they are amazing!

The first ones pink posted would not suit my feet.
The strap would let my little toe poke out.
I've got some really comfy silver sandals very bejewelled. Bought last year from a boutique near my mum.

I like these but not the price.

I love your sandles, they are similar to the lk Bennett ones I linked to , I agree with PP you do have lovely feet! Where are your sandles from?

Lots of the sandals posted so far (I think) are gorgeous but totally impractical for hours of walking. The problem is you're looking for something that's both stylish and functional and unfortunately with sandals that's the holy grail...
