On every thread where someone posts a picture of sandals to ask for advice, theres always a chorus of 'hideous', 'granny', 'fugly' etc. So please share some photos of sandals that you think are nice, stylish, chic, non-stomach-churning, whatever. Bear in mind that many of us need sandals to be comfortable and suitable for lots of walking. I promise no snarky comments!

@Elemental would you mind posting a real life pic of your rainbow metallic wasabis please? I love the pic from the website you’ve posted where they look all shimmery but on the other pics they look more of a plain silver which I’m not so keen on.

Also, what’s the fit like? I have wide feet, size is 6 and a half but usually end up with a 7 to accommodate my fat feet!

S021 · 12/05/2019 09:36

The Wasabi sandals remind me of the sandals I used to wear as a child.

ScarlettDarling · 12/05/2019 10:55

S021 Yes, I know what you mean. Saltwaters are the same but I still love em!

The wasabi are indeed like children’s sandals! Sandals like that are designed with walking, playing, comfort etc in mind. I absolutely love mine. I bought a silver pair this year and I am wondering whether to buy a second silver pair, I know they will get that much wear!

I prefer pair on left, I like thinner criss cross straps myself.

They don't look too comfort sandal to me, a bit nicer than Birkies (although Birkies are popular so makes them "cool" in a way). They are not super chic but not the worst offenders on this thread by a long shot!

Alsohuman · 13/05/2019 19:34

I like the plain bands better. Helpful, aren’t I?

Scoose · 13/05/2019 19:42

I got these last summer they are so comfy!

Oooh @Elloello where are the sandals in the second pic from? (Two straps and heel strap - shite terminology I know)

I think they are so similar that there's not much to pick between them- the Timberland are nicer than the Skechers.
I prefer this style from Timberland www.timberland.co.uk/shop/en/tbl-uk/lottie-lou-sandal-for-women-in-black-a1vxc015

Has anyone bought these:
www.fitflop.com/uk/en/cart

And are they comfy?

bingoitsadingo · 15/05/2019 10:05

@Elloello I have the timberlands with the cross straps. They are SUPER comfy. Like walking on clouds.

@Elloello mine are a kind of khaki brown, I bought them last year. I can't wear Birkenstocks but I think they have a similar vibe, and the ones with straight straps even more so. I imagine the footbed is the same on both (really comfortable) and the leather is really soft.
