Let's see your non hideous sandals then!

On every thread where someone posts a picture of sandals to ask for advice, theres always a chorus of 'hideous', 'granny', 'fugly' etc. So please share some photos of sandals that you think are nice, stylish, chic, non-stomach-churning, whatever. Bear in mind that many of us need sandals to be comfortable and suitable for lots of walking. I promise no snarky comments!

Does anyone else feel a bit Envy at the thought of toe post sandals? I don't know if I'm ever such a delicate maiden but I can't bear the feel of anything between my toes. Nails down a blackboard sensation.

I've tried it but I just can't get past it. The feeling gives me the heebie jeebies for some weird reason. But I'm very much in the market for a pair of sandals so I'll keep an eye on the non toe invasive ones. [grin[

I have lived through about the last 10 summers in Birkenstock Arizonas. I have ludicrously wide feet, and, while I recognise that Birkenstocks are ugly, they are also very comfortable. I can walk all day in them, no problem.

Saltwater sandals! I think they look cool and are super comfy. Have them in gold.

I quite fancy these sandals from Office with elasticated straps. Black, no toe-post, not too much of an evangelical street preacher vibe, promising reviews re. comfort. Pretty cheap.

@motherforkinshirtballs - are they Rocketdogs? If so, they’re nice quality and not obviously non-leather - I tried on a pair at the weekend.

I hated toe posts too. I have the added complication of having narrow size 2.5 feet which means adult sandals are like clown shoes on me & I really struggle to find non-cutesy girls sandals. I found some that weren't too bad probably about 8 years ago in Clarks. They've lasted incredibly well but are literally falling apart now! I've been putting it off but I'm definitely going to need new sandals this year.

visitorthedog, they are blowfish. I've never bought that brand before and don't have a schuh locally so I'm not sure. They are pretty though...

Yes they are sort of textured, but in all honesty I think it contributes to the over all massaged feeling.

I love them. Very NYC Normcore chic. They are pretty indestructible too!

Although I maybe didn't really expect anyone to think my sandal choice is desirable. But you know, with feet as wide as mine and comfort being paramount, I don't see anything better offered on this thread.

Frangipane , they're fine. Honestly. No theyre not the height of glamour, but they do look comfy and sometimes that's just what you need. If you care about avoiding the granny factor, I find most sandals can be saved by a good pedicure, I like a dark glossy nail myself
