Today I smell of lavender, woodsmoke and cinnamon biscuits, in Another Kiss By The Fireside.

Great to see your post Count. I do get a bit obsessed with it at Christmas - I like the balance between pine, smoke and skank.

SOTD FM Hiver. Still can’t taste or smell anything. Went to work and was sent home.

Have been driven wild by the smell of phantom roses for the last 24 hours. Thought something must have leaked/broken but just couldn't figure it out. Turns out DD had a wrapped a Secret Santa present containing a Lush product and left it in her bag - glad I'm not going mad.

Oh lovely pics of the Perfumista cats! My last one died about 18 months ago and I still miss her every day. I can't get another at the moment, but I don't really want to- no cat could be as brilliant as she was

Really enjoying the advent calendar! Does it stay available to refer back to after Christmas MrsL? Interested in the pine-y one today, I love pine scents. Has anyone got any of the pine scentsicles for their Christmas tree if it's artificial? DH moans our tree smells like a toilet but it smells like a real tree to me

I love the cat pictures! Would love to post mine but they are quite identifying as she is quite unusual. Happy to PM if anyone desires to see this amazing specimen of cathood I sympathise with the obsessed cat problem although mine doesn't say mama which I am insanely jealous of Mine has a routine to her days stricter than Gina Ford, or SWWNBN and gets very very upset if we deviate from it

SOTD Hyperbole. I feel I might be making a breakthrough on the cold front. I just want to taste something. On the upside, I finally lost the remainder of my summer holiday (ahem) weight, so every cloud etc.

Is anyone getting nice perfume for Christmas? Under my tree is Byredo Bibliotheque, and MIL is getting me Miss Dior. (I really hope she followed the weblink and doesn’t present me with a pink, fruity horror.)

Perfume is pretty much all I'm getting for Christmas! I know I have Fracas and FM Noir Epices, because I bought them- good eBay bargains. DH has got me something Diptyque I think. Oh and I bought a few samples from 4160 Tuesdays which I'm saving for Christmas too.

I have had a sniff of Bibliotheque Judy and it was my favourite of the Byredo's I tried.

Good question Floof - I'm not sure.

Might be a case of all good things and all that....or, if enough of us had an appetite, I think the dates could be extended, and we could have a rota to post reviews (with or without swaps).

One for us all to ponder...?

PP order has arrived! Just trying out their homages to Tobacco Vanille and Samsara...

Interested in what you think of the tobacco vanille mrsL - I found the first hit quite synthetic, but if I remember correctly that was my initial impression of the original too (I don't have the original to compare).

Packed my Christmas bag as are travelling to my PILs today. Had to pack light, and went for PP woodfire, 4160 sexiest scent, Who Knew and rhubarb and custard, and Liz earle no15.

I love today’s review. Perfume is such a personal subjective thing isn’t it?
I think I’ve been wearing Wrappings all the time on holiday. We sat behind some ‘Air Freshner’ scented Vanilla ladies on the Airplane that were so strong smelling they made me feel ill. So anything green and fresh is good at the moment.

Oh Wolves - that was funny/bitter sweet. Funny how perfume can instantly transport you to another time.

Mrsr8/Pots - didn't want to rush to judgement on the TF sniffalikey. And it's ages since I smelt the real deal, so can't really compare. But having given it a couple of run outs I'd say it starts off smelling like some sort of embrocation (and funnily enough, Count, I did wonder if there is either camphor or bitter pepper in the mix as there is something in the opening that is similar to Archives 69?).

Beyond that it warms into a huge, narcotic tobacco note which stays quite close to the skin. (Which feels about right). Good pyjama option - best from after the first hour onwards?
