Morning all! Come and join the gorgeously-scented chat!

Today I smell of lavender, woodsmoke and cinnamon biscuits, in Another Kiss By The Fireside.

Judystilldreamsofhorses, I completely agree with you; Secretions magnifiques is too real, too off-putting.

MrsLucas, my favourites (love, love) are Charogne (translation is Carrion Wink ) which has a sweet lily scent to it and Bijoux romantique which I use during the colder months as it's fairly heavy but delicious. I also I wear 'Yes, I do' during the spring and summer months.

Was that your review today Judy? Keeping your sense of humour despite being at deaths door at least!

SotD Dark Rum. Does what it says on the tin. I drank a lot of dark rum as a student and this definitely took me back. Not sure if I want to smell of rum at work though!

OutComeTheWolves · 17/12/2018 19:45

Oh I love dark rum count- the perfume not the drink.

Sotd was song for a queen. I didn't suit me at all but lasted for hours.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 17/12/2018 19:57

Oops, yes, that was my terrible calendar today. Good cat, though?

NellVarnish · 17/12/2018 20:00

Thanks for the lovely welcome MrsLucas, Unnecessary and Calm - I’ve pinned all your suggestions so I’ll be the one mooching round LHR tax free with my long list in a week or so. I’ll have a look for the magazine too thanks.

SOTD is L’Interdit as I had a cheeky spray or three as I cut through Boots earlier - can still smell it on my wrists now mmmmm it’s lovely.

MrsLucas · 17/12/2018 20:58

Might have been December's Elle Nell?

More Perfumista's cat photos please! Next year we could skip the perfume reviews in the calendar and just do everyone's cats? Judy - hope you feel better soon?

Archives 69 Count - good choice for a collector. Smile Have had a sniff tonight. Not sure what I find grave, borderline unsettling here? The pepper/plum contrast or the camphor against the musky, balsamic notes. One of those brilliant perfumes that has nothing whatsoever to do with sex, attractiveness, or even being soothed and instead demands that you sit up and think about what it is, and what it means.

SotD was Suki Essence (Weil). Good option for people who like the labdanum note in LdDM but want a lighter cheaper and just about daytime appropriate dose of resin.

MrsLucas · 17/12/2018 21:04

Getting - I need to give Charogne a whirl. Saw the translation and backed away Grin.

CountFosco · 17/12/2018 21:09

Good cat, though?

Gorgeous. DS is allergic though so we can't have one Sad. DSis keeps sending me photos of her gorgeous new kitten, I am so jealous!

MrsL you are just making me want to buy a bottle NOW!!! Birthday in January, might have to buy myself a little present!

Wolves I didn't think much of Song for a Queen either.

MrsLucas · 17/12/2018 21:48

Mrsr8 have just had a sniff of Timeless too. It is gorgeous, though best once past the aldehydes?

Aaargh it's my advent calendar day today, but having a bit of a mare at work so won't get to it until later.

MrsLucas · 18/12/2018 18:59

Don't worry, we're enjoying the suspense...(and do you have a cat? Grin).

Ollivander84 · 18/12/2018 19:03

Ollivander your cat is as beautiful as you are. Does the cat like to party as well?

Ollivander84 · 18/12/2018 20:27

He likes to cuddle and shout mama at me. And glare if I'm not home on time Grin

CountFosco · 18/12/2018 20:31

My Mum's cat refuses to look at her for about half a day if she has a long weekend away (cat is not abandoned, my sister looks after it).

MrsLucas · 18/12/2018 21:40

I really want to try Incense Rose now, Can't believe, I'm actually salivating Blush 9think its the clementine that's tipped me over the edge).

What a beautiful cat Ollivander.

Ollivander84 · 18/12/2018 21:55

Here is his "lub yooooo" look. He's basically obsessed with me Hmm

Omg that’s an adorable face Ollivander!
We can’t have cats as my dad is allergic. We have guinea pigs instead.
