You’ve dropped off my threads I’m on so am just bumping you back!

RiskIt4Biscuit · 07/12/2018 14:22

Finished a Clinique Take The Day Off cleansing balm.
Absolutely love this and have already bought a new one.

Considering throwing out a Benefit clear brow gel - it is old, but not empty yet, but it's a struggle to open every morning - it is clean around the rim, but it feels like it is being glued shut every time. It is so frustrating.

NiceUnusualDifferent · 08/12/2018 08:07

Finished a mini REN evercalm Cleansing Gel. I quite liked using it to cleanse but the tube was infuriating as a massive opening meant you got 5 times the amount you needed. It possibly caused a few pimples too so won’t reputch

NiceUnusualDifferent · 08/12/2018 08:07

*wont repurchase

Experiment627 · 08/12/2018 11:28

@twoblackdogs this is a huge achievement- well done!!!!
Do you mean the concealer? I have used in the past stopped as it contains a nasty silicone.

I have an empty!!!

  • The Body Shop Ethiopian Green Coffee firming body cream 50ml: sinks in well, similar smell to the Grape Seed body scrub - sort of spa like... I am coming to the end of small sized body creams in stash... one more I think and then on to full size

Milly848 · 08/12/2018 11:58

Well with three advent calendars my stash has grown considerably. I'm beyond help I think.

RiskIt4Biscuit · 08/12/2018 14:23

Finally finished an Aesop Parsley Seed serum.
It was quite nice (though probably too expensive for what it really is), but my skin has changed since I bought it, so I don’t really feel like I need it, so I will not repurchase it.
I did not like that it is a 100ml bottle but should be used within 9 months of opening - if they made smaller bottles, I would be far happier about it.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 08/12/2018 15:14

Sainsbury own brand - something like Fennel&Rosemary. Nice enough but the lid kept pinging off it when it was squeezed and our shower is being an arse so I'm diving in, quick bracing cool shower and out.
I'll move onto soap nexr.
I'm saving my Nuxe for a relaxed warm shower !

ememem84 · 08/12/2018 16:00

I’ve added clarins stretch mark cream to my Christmas wish list. Necessary as I found out yesterday I’m expecting dc2. Bit of a shock - ds is only 15months....and I was on the pill. Oops.

Anyway. Slathering on all the moisturiser now. To hold those stretch marks back.

Caggie09 · 08/12/2018 16:55

Aww thats lovely news ememem84 Congratulations🎉❤ Hopefully santa brings you your cream!Grin

NiceUnusualDifferent · 08/12/2018 20:21

Congratulations Ememem

CantChoose · 08/12/2018 21:49

Congratulations ememem!
Can't believe your DS is 15m already though!!

I don't wish to be an enabler (who am I kidding??), RiskIt, but there's a really good offer on a take the day off gift set in boots at the moment. It's £28 for the balm, the wipes and I think two eye make up bits. I was very tempted but am on a spending ban as starting mat leave soon. May have bought myself the soap and glory gift set but it doesn't count as I used advantage points not cash, right??

I've finished a full size Elemis eye make up remover which I really like but I think isnt quite as good as the Lancôme one. I've not got much in the stash but my mum often gets me one for Christmas and I think the clarins sample one will last until then.

Experiment627 · 08/12/2018 22:21

@ememem84 !!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!💕💕💕

I was nearly tempted my a Liz Earle set yesterday in boots! £30 for the hot cloth cleanser, the tonic, body wash and a body cream. I held out! I still need to get Christmas presents, nevermind buy myself thingsBlush

Got rid of a few things today:
•Jo by jo loves perfume sample 2ml. Was nice, bit grapefruity for me. But it grew on me. Have another sample to use up too.
•Clarins one step face scrub. Mini sample from order, liked it, wouldnt buy though.
•Charlottle Tilbury Goddess skin clay mask. I like it, my skins soft and doesnt upset my eczema. Bit pricey though, feel a cheaper mask could do the same!
•Optrex eye warming mask. I have two left ftom my box, will buy again. Ive had them sitting for a while though!

Notreallyhere23 · 08/12/2018 22:53

Congratulations @ememem84!

Chucked out a Too Faced Peach blur powder today. Just a mini one from Sephora but I couldn’t get on with it at all. Couldn’t pick any up on a brush but if I used a puff (which I’m not keen on) I looked ruddy and it wouldn’t blend at all. There was no inbetween of peachy goodness!

SuzeD29 · 09/12/2018 13:19

Finished some teeth whitening strips, not sure if they've worked so won't buy again.
Used a charcoal sheet mask which made my face sore so will chuck out the other 3 in the box

Alicatz66 · 09/12/2018 15:57

Chucked out a Barry M eyelash primer .. it was shite !!!
I love the Lancôme one but am trying to be cruelty free... any suggestions ? Anyone tried the Urban Decay one ?

Experiment627 · 09/12/2018 16:30

I have an empty:

  • Clarins toning lotion 10ml; no idea what this does

I would LOVE to hear what routine you guys have in the morning and evening- my current regime is as follows:

  • cleanse with an oil
  • apply eye cream
  • spray face mist
  • apply essence lotion
  • apply day cream
And then at night
  • cleanse (usually with a micellar water)
  • apply serum
  • apply night cream

Congratulations @ememem84! :) Do you know how far along you are?

The clarins cream sounds nice. I'm pregnant too & would like to pick up something for the expanding belly but I'm not actually convinced any of them do anything! Do they? Just using normal moisturiser at the moment & have a Palmers stretch mark one to move on to.

Notreallyhere23 · 09/12/2018 18:00

@experiment627

Morning-
at the moment I’m using the Dr Lancer exfoliater so that first but if I wasn’t it’d be a face wash then some kind of acid toner.
Then serum and eye cream.
Then day cream.
If I’m going to be outside a bit I’ll add spf before my make up.

In the evening I’ll take my eye make up off with the Clarins, use some kind of micellar type cleanser and then usually just an oil/night cream.

Face pack usually twice a week, 2 different types.

I’m sure some people will think that’s not enough cleansing or actives or something but it works for me.

tinyradish · 09/12/2018 18:51

I'm the morning:

Tropic cleanser
Toner
Vitamin c eye cream
Nip & Fab Hyaluronic serum
Sukin sensitive daily moisturiser

In the evening:
Tropic cleanser
Pixi Glow tonic
Vitamin c eye cream
Neals yard beauty sleep night cream

I use the Tropic deep cleaning green mask once a week & also the oil once or twice a week at night.

SuzeD29 · 09/12/2018 18:54

Cleanse with an oil and muslin cloth
Paula's choice 2% BHA liquid
Eye cream and which ever moisturiser I fancy
Do a deep cleansing face mask 2x a week too

ememem84 · 09/12/2018 19:06

Wash face in shower with soap n glory face soap and clarity
Eye cream
Day moisturiser
Primer
Make up
Also do full body moisturiser and of wearing socks heel genius heel cream.
Nighttime

  • micellar water make up off
  • eye cream
  • night moisturiser
  • hand cream
  • lip balm

Twice a week I exfoliate

ememem84 · 09/12/2018 19:10

tiny no idea how far along! Dr did the test and we didn’t have to wait the usual amount of time....so she thinks probably 8 weeks. Maybe. But need an early ish scan to date everything.

Experiment627 · 09/12/2018 21:27

@tinyradish I basically used body creams - but every day, sometimes twice a day. I do not appear to have developed any more stretch marks

Thanks for the routines!!!! I am going to try and do an eye cream at night too!
I also use glycolic acid every so often and a face mask at least once a week.
