tiny I used the clarins one throughout my last pregnancy. No stretch marks. None.

I’m going to use up what I have here though - mostly body butters and a palmers one. So will finish my soap n glory body butter then go onto palmers.

I actually think moisturising is the key. And keeping hydrated. And exercise.

Up until last week I’ve been doing serious gym workouts. When pregnant with ds I put on a stone and a half. And all in the belly and boobs. Yay. Fingers crossed for the same again.

tinyradish · 09/12/2018 21:56

Ah fab em, I hope you can get a scan soon to find out for sure. You may be right about the mixture of exercise, hydration & moisturising tbh. Wow well done, I've already put on that much Xmas Blush oops!

@experiment twice a day every day? That is dedication! Your skin will definitely thank you for that.

RiskIt4Biscuit · 10/12/2018 10:19

Thank you CantChoose, that is a really good offer.
I’ve noticed that the same offer is on Clinique’s website, and my DH has said he wants a Clinique Moisture Surge moisturiser for himself (he is currently using mine), so I clearly have no other choice than to do some shopping - there are some nice sets at a really good price.

Congratulations ememem84!

Experiment627, my routine is:
Alpha H cleanser in shower
Every few days, I use a glycolic scrub from Alpha H, also in the shower. I am not a fan of the physical exfoliant bit of the product, but the chemical exfoliant is good, and I am trying to use it up rather than bin it. It does make my skin feel lovely to be fair.
Rodial Dragons Blood hyaluronic tonic spray (new, not sure how I feel about it yet)
Mario Badescu eye cream when I remember
Clinique Moisture Surge moisturiser

Evening:
Clinique Take the Day Off cleansing balm
Every other day Alpha H Liquid Gold
If I feel like I need it: Espa Overnight Hydration Therapy (overnight mask)

lightningstrikes · 10/12/2018 19:44

I've been lurking, but thought I'd join in to say I've finished a Garnier SkinActive botanical clensing milk. It was ok, but I won't repurchase. I've got a couple of minis to use from my three (!) advent calendars, so will see if I find something fabulous there.

My skin routine is:
Wash with water
Vitamin C serum
Hyaluronic acid serum
50 spf
IT CC cream

In the evening:
Oil cleanser or balm
A second cleanse if I've been wearing make-up
Then either AHA gel, azeliac acid or Retin-A
A moisturiser if I feel I need it

I do a mask once or twice a week if I remember

I'm 41, so trying to keep the wrinkles at bay!

twoblackdogs · 11/12/2018 10:16

Congratulations, ememem! Flowers

My children have the same age difference. Initially I was a bit worried, but it turned out to be great. They play together a lot and are closer to each other than my friend's children with 12 year age difference. You will manage beautifully, and everything will be all right.

You are still my Urban Decay eye shadow pan hero Smile

Caggie09 · 11/12/2018 10:25

Oh everyones routine seems to have more steps on a morning! I usually just cleanse and moisturise! The evening is when i have the most:
Micellar water
Hot cloth cleanser (Aldis atm!)
Aloe toner
Nip and fab serum
Oil
And last night started on thr Perricone cloud cream.
Exfoliate twice a week, and the follow up with a face mask and then glycolic pads.

Got rid of a Philosophy amazing grace 30ml bath, shower and shampoo. Not putting something on my hair that can be used to wash my body?! Used up in 2 showers.
Lacura coffee scrub, stains my skin like ive fake tanned. Need to go over the top with a shower gel to get it off. Frank body is my go to, would only buy Aldis again if running low on funds and product!
Superdrug dry skin cream in a tub. Use this every other day, doesnt flare up eczema and usually buy in bulk. Have two more tubs left. I do use a different body cream on the day i dont use this, i like to mix it up!Grin
To add in is a Revlon Colour change lip powder, free gift with purchase. Probably get shoved im a drawer and used once a year!

RiskIt4Biscuit · 11/12/2018 11:31

Finished a Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear foundation.
It was nice enough, but I prefer Estee Lauder Double Wear for longwearing and quite full coverage foundation.

applepineapple · 11/12/2018 12:44

Finished a small sample of the Sunday Riley CEO serum, really saw a difference in my skin with this. Would definitely repurchase in the future

ememem84 · 11/12/2018 14:38

Thanks guys.

Now I’ve come to terms with it I’m definetly going to need to use up the make up. Two littlies = potential sleep deprivation = tired face = make up a plenty.

Experiment627 · 12/12/2018 09:49

I swum from about 13 weeks with Kwicklet - I think that helped.

@RiskIt4Biscuit what is the Mario B eye cream like?

Welcome @lightningstrikes !!!!

Thanks for all the routines!!! Definitely motivates me to carry on and maybe add to mine!

I am going to chuck a L'occitane Verbena soap that has gone manky. Quite nice as has bits that exfoliate as you use.

My mum is coming over later so I plan to do my roots and have a lovely bath.

Am well pleased with the Look Fantastic advent.

Look what I found this morning?

Experiment627 I have the ceramide eye gel and it's nothing special. It was reasonably cheap, but I wouldn't buy it again. I think any other eye cream would do exactly the same job (and probably better).

Experiment627 · 12/12/2018 12:40

Thanks @RiskIt4Biscuit!!!

So after having a bath I have a few more empties:

  • Lush The Comforter bubble bar: these are great - last ages, foam up and create soft water
  • Lush Full of Grace serum: love, love, love this! Comes as a bar that you rub in your hands, it melts and then you rub on face. Will defo buy again but have some serums in stash to use up firsf. Deeply moisturising and I will always associate smell with the birth of Kwicklet. It comes "naked" so you need a tin ti store it in
  • Coco & Eve Like a Virgin hair mask 15ml: just used this - jury is out on if it is any good
  • Superdrug foot nourishing sock pack: on my scaly feet currently

Finished up a GOW vitamin C serum this morning. I really like it and will repurchase. In other news I may have purchased 3 beauty advent calendars and now my face is upset at all the new things I've been putting on it. I'm paring back to my known products and using 1 new product at a time like a sensible person to figure out what actually makes any difference and works with my skin. Blush

Suzyloo · 12/12/2018 16:40

I finished a Benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream on the weekend. It was too heavy for my face but fabulous for my neck. I loved it, but thought nearly £30 was too much to pay for another one (it was part of a gift set). Then I actually looked at the price of neck creams Blush. I've just started a 15 ml Prai neck cream which came in a Look Fantastic box so I don't have to decide yet.

I also finished a small-size Origins Drink-Up Intensive Overnight Mask which came in an Estee Lauder companies box. It was also too heavy for my face, but good for my neck and it smelled lovely.

ememem84 · 12/12/2018 16:46

Gorgeous kwicklet!!!

This is my babboooo.

comeagainforbigfudge · 12/12/2018 21:28

......slides back in to ask if i can join in again?

I have been awol for aaaaages, but in my defence, i have been doing a post grad which has been full on as was uni plus work experience. I have neglected myself entirely, on the plus side ive hardly bought anything new either.

The shelf of shame is still the same though. Determined to get through it all though.

Do you still do challenges?

Gorgeous baby pics Smile

Experiment627 · 14/12/2018 13:27

What a cutie @ememem84 😍 !!!!

Welcome back @comeagainforbigfudge !!!!

Clarins eye cream finished. I super liked this. Not sure what I have in the stash to replace it with.

I will repurchase (or will tell dh to get me some for Christmas...)

Experiment627 · 16/12/2018 10:54

I have an empty:

  • The Body Shop Shea body butter 50ml: I am not a fan of the smell of shea but this one was quite mild and it sunk in real quick. I have many many more creams in my stash.

Nakedavenger74 · 16/12/2018 19:04

@ememem84 inspired by this thread Im currently repurposing that Clarins Eye cream as a standard all over face moisturiser after it came as a freebie in a set well over 3 years ago. It's never ending! Who has the time or inclination to use a seperate eye cream?!

Notreallyhere23 · 16/12/2018 21:01

Empties-

A mini Clarins eye cream (we’re all at it!)

A mini Clinique take the day off balm, like it but to be honest my kids used most of it taking off Halloween and stage make up- great for that as it doesn’t hurt their eyes so might buy some more for that.

A Clinique mascara, I think it was called high impact but it wasn’t high impact, it was a nice every day one but my eyes cry in the cold so not strong enough for that.

ememem84 · 17/12/2018 08:20

I’m still plugging through my micellar water. Don’t like it but am determined to use it up. Have about 1/4 of the bottle left. It’s a huge bottle too (750ml I think).

Experiment627 · 17/12/2018 11:44

Which one is it @ememem84?

I have an empty:

  • L'erbolario Arancio shower gel: nice but expensive
OP posts:
ememem84 · 17/12/2018 11:51

The harbour one.
