Continuation of previous threads - come fess up here! We love hearing about stashes but also them being used up!!!!

Hi all :) excellent work in my absence. I hadn't finished anything for ages but as is always the way this week I've finised four!

1. smashbox lash primer sample tube - this works quite well but I tend to go for a more subtle look so I didn't really use it and it dried up
2. Lancôme juicy tube full size in Plum - this was my favourite in sixth form and probably dates from then! I'd been keeping it on my desk at work to remind me to use it, I'd even cut it open to get more out though it was a bit sticky for that really. There's was a tiny, tiny bit left but I chucked it on my last day before mat leave
3. full size Milton brown shower gel in honeysuckle and something. It was a gift and wasn't my favourite scent. I like the MB shower gels but they last ages which is good but I get bored! Even though I have a million tubes of shower gel, the midwife suggested I should use something Unscented for the first few weeks so I've bought some Sanex to use.
4. full size Aveeno tube - also something I've been using while pregnant in preference to more strongly scented products in the stash. Also had a stash of aveeno though! Have just started the last bottle - a pump one but I prefer the tube. After that I'll go back to something stronger smelling!

Hi ladies, I'm a long time lurker on this thread, I love reading everyone's empties I just don't really participate because I only ever use the same products so my empties would be very repetitive lol. Anyway I was just wondering where frustratedfrugal was?! Haven't heard from her for a really long time, do any of you know if she's ok?

Finished another sure deoderent but have boughg new bodyshop shower gels.

AN empty- 50ml body shop moringa shower gel. Used it up in the bath as bubbles for the DC as I so wanted to report an empty.

A few empties to report , feels good to finish them finally:

• Oskia cleansing gel - yes bought this having seen bloggers galore talk about it. I was underwhelmed and won't repurchase.

• Neutrogena micellar water. This is ok, only used it occasionally. Might get a cheap Superdrug replacement as it's quite nice to have this sort of cleanser now and then.

• Superdrug serum - ok but didn't really feel like it did anything, wouldn't repurchase. I may repurchase an Ordinary serum - really liked the Matrixyl.

• Estée Lauder eyebrow gel - loved this, such a nice small brush, but it's sooo expensive I can't justify a repurchase. Bought a NYX gel to replace it and it isn't anything like as nice.

• Bourjois 123 Perfect foundation- surprisingly good coverage, not particularly long lasting though. Now started an IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better tube.

Chucking the dregs of a Lavera handcream...cut tube open to get the last of it but it has sort of dried up a bit and I have so many others on the go as well as unopened ones in the stash.

I'm strongly considering going through my unopened makeup, palettes etc and deciding if I can make myself donate some of it to The Hygiene Bank now that there are drop off points local to me.

Realistically I have more than I will ever get through even with concentrating on opened products and shopping my stash for unopened rather than buying from shops. Problem is, once I've acquired things I'm dreadful at letting go of them! 🙈

2 unexciting empties: eyelure blonde brow gel & garnier gradual tanner. I've got an e.l.f brow powder I can use (although do prefer the gels for ease) & a Palmers gradual tan lined up next.

I did just use my Emma Hardy cleansing balm mini for the first time though & it was incredible! Loved how it smelt & felt. Interested to see how it makes my skin look over the next few days - I'm very prone to breakouts unfortunately so it's always risky trying new things. If all good, I'll definitely understand what all the fuss is about ;)

Got rid of an oil ive been using just short of a year Loreal extraordinary oil. I liked it, wouldnt purchase again as want to replace my Clarins one i used a while ago. Got a Dr Botanicals rose oil, has a few days worth in. But really dont care for it. So that will be gone by the end of the week.

A garnier facemask were you push up the serum yourself (cant remember the proper name!) Would repurchase.

Fancy some bits off beauty pie, the serums,facemasks, candles and perfumes are bits id like to try. Will try and hold off buying for now👍

I have an empty:

• L'occitane immortelle divine cream sample pot: meh - did not like smell bit nice on neck and décolletage

I've chucked a body shop lip butter that has gone lumpy.

Finished a No 7 melting gel cleanser. This was part of the 2017 big No7 gift set....which I still have a few bits from

I don't think I would repurchase this as a standalone product....so many other things that I prefer as rinse off cleansers in the shower.

I’ve finished a full size elemis lavender toner today. It’s usually a staple for me but I have a Liz Earle one languishing in a drawer which I’m going to use up next I think.

Back home to the sunshine, thank goodness. Did quite well on our trip, didn’t buy anything in Boots that wasn’t “on the list”
3, Clinique Watermelon lipstick, this is my favourite and I have been wearing for about 15 years, good job I already had a replacement in the stash!

1. Clinique small mascara, glad to finish this as it means I can go onto my la Roche Posay one which is way waiting at home for me.
2. Estée Lauder perfectly clean toner, was OK but will not replace, one I have used up all of my cleaners/toners I will go back to minceller water which I really like.
3. Clarins moisturiser, lovely product, it was a gift but may buy this in future.

I am pleased to report that DH, who incidentally has no idea he is doing this, also used 2 product, both things he wasn’t keen on but Oh silly me, I packed them by mistake!! Now maybe he will not leave it to the last minute so I just dump stuff into the case. 😉

Finally finished a huge bottle of boots hand cream. Had to use it as body lotion because I was sick of it on the shelf looking at me 🤨 Bought some facial cleasing oil (4 bottles) 2x 500ml tubs of body cream and a face mask today.... There's no helping me!

Finished:
-Paula's Choice retinol 1%, ok but didn't really feel it did very much. I'm now going to work on my Ordinary 2% granactive retinoid which seems to have more impact, though I may be just imagining that. Any retinol recommendations welcome or once I finish the Ordinary one!

• REN Wake Wonderful travel size . Wow this is brilliant, really makes a difference overnight. Love it and want to repurchase but have to wait for an offer as it's not cheap.

Feels good to see the bathroom cabinet slowly emptying!

Just used up the last of a large tub of Astral face and body cream - good for my dry skin, nice scent, good price and would buy again.

Im so annoyed with myself!!! Finished the last of the rose oil on Wednesday night. Cracked open my last oil, a Mitchell and Peace one last night. So far so good, wouldnt have to buy another oil for months!! Knocked the damn thing on the floor while open and most of its ended up on the floor. Maybe a weeks worth left. Need to order a new one

Used another Jo loves bath cologne in Pink Vetiver. Loved this scent. Wouldnt repurchase though.

Went into Boots to grab some bits in the 70% off, got shampoos, bath stuff amd more hair products. Need to restrain myself.

Oh no! That's so sad.

I did that once with a tropic oil... On the first day it was opened managed to spill it all over my duvet. SUCH A WASTE :(

Had to buy a few things in superdrug: collection concealer, primer, maternity pads, baby wipes, 2x superdrug charcoal Toothpaste (bogof.) I'm trying to be really frugal but this was all needed so quite happy with myself for not getting carried away there.

Used up 2 x 30 ml body lotion

Nearly all my Clinique almost make up. Did crack and crumble

I did buy glamglow mask set and used the pink glitter one today. A lot of fun.

Updating as have fallen the thread. What have I missed?!?!

This is the status of my list:

• tresseme dry shampoo - gone
• soap n glory righteous butter - half finished
• joules shower gel (rose flavour) - gone
• ysl burgundy mascara - gone
• body shop felt tip eyeliner - this apparently is forever lasting
• hand cream on my desk at work
• bare minerals foundation
• micellar water - 700 ml. It lasts for 350 uses....ffs.
• Lee Stafford poker straight shampoo - gone

• soap n glory face soap and clarity bit c face wash (have been using this since April....huge bottle) - still about 2” left in the bottle. Ffs

I have finished a no7 eyebrow pencil. I bought 3 More as really liked it and they were on special.

Other than that no empties. Haven’t been self caring enough really.

More generally I'd fallen off the thread a bit too as I've used so many sample sizes everything is taking longer now! But I think you've missed much of the same - excellent work with everyone using things up then mostly enabling each other to make new purchases
Sounds like youve done really well. I really like soap and glory stuff but find the bottles too big and I get bored. I got the big gift set at Christmas and it came with the peaches and clean cleansing milk. I can't decide if I should try it or give it away / sell it as I usually use face washes or hot cloth cleansers. Sorry to hear your self care has dropped off a bit, I hope everything is ok xx

I had a cull of some make-up last week, I'm not really a make-up wearer so it was more a case of "What am I keeping this for"?

Some Mally eye-crayons . Nice enough but a bit glittery . I;ve had them years , not really worn them. I think they're too much of a faff to apply and blend . All the colours (there were three) are pretty similar to the ones in a Sleek palette (powders, so they shouldn't go 'off' ) that is also ancient .

Some Barry M lip oil (felt weird on) not really sure what it was meant to do.

Any mascaras that I knew were over 3 months old since opening.

Lip liner (I have kept my BodyShop Beech that pre dates my Wedding in 1995 ) a pink and a red . I don't wear lippie much

And saddest - an M&S Autograph Mulberry lipstick because it was looking a bit odd , patchy white bits. I loved the colour and will find one to replace it.

NYX eyeshadow palette that DD bought them gave to me , it was ok but a bit too much red/ginger/bronze .

BareMinerals 5in1 eyebase. Smelled a bit bleurgh.

Been ruthless . I don't think I'll replace any except the M&S lipstick.
I have about 4 sealed mascaras waiting .

Used up my Aussie shampoo
