Can anyone suggest what to do with a very old bottle of Bio Oil? No idea what to do with it or why I bought it! I hate greasy skin!
I'd say it's about 3 years old.
Any repurpose ideas or should I chuck it?

WellTidy · 16/01/2019 09:03

Naked With BioOil, as I understand it, it isn't the amount you use that has the biggest impact. It is the massaging it in that has more effect. A little should go a long way. Slathering yourself in it in a bid to use it up won't really make much difference, especially if you don't like greasy skin. I would chuck it if you're not keen. I have BioOil which is left over from my pregnancy with DS2, who is coming up to 7 yo Smile

VeryNaughtyAuntyLesley · 16/01/2019 12:00
  1. Lancôme foundation, must have been a sample, I did quite like but would not replace as I still have about 5 on the go
  2. Clinique blusher, freebie not quite used up but I found an Estée Lauder also a freebie which is better.
Dumped these at Faro airport on my way out. That’s dedication! Get back to the UK only to find I have forgot my Advange Card, this is either a blessing or a disaster, not sure yet. I did have a list of this stuff I needed, do I need it all?
Ponks · 16/01/2019 23:01

@NakedAvenger maybe use the Bio oil on your cuticles overnight?

Caggie09 · 17/01/2019 05:49

A 7.5ml of Perricone Cloud Cream. My face did no agree with this! Triggered my eczema, so slathered it on my neck.

I have about 10+ moisturisers, and im not going to risk ruining my routine now, so im just going to use them all as neck cream. Gutted, as i have some good ones from adventsSad

WellTidy · 17/01/2019 22:55

KOrres shower gel 200ml in Fig. My favourite, but won’t replace due to having so, so many shower gels in my stash. Using a Waitrose fig and something one next.

Also finished full size shampoo and conditioner, but I don’t stash these for some odd reason, as I stash absolutely everything else! I have no brand loyalty on shampoo and conditioner. Using aveda shampure next, which was a lovely Christmas gift.

IMissGin · 17/01/2019 23:25

I’m inspired! Will audit my stash in the morning and report back

Alicatz66 · 18/01/2019 07:43

Finished a Sanctuary body spray oil .. ok ... but wouldn't repurchase .. not keen on spray body moisturisers. Going to soldier on through my tub of Soap and Glory Righteous Butter !!! I love the smell but they go on for ever .. need to finish it now in winter before it's too heavy to use

Experiment627 · 18/01/2019 10:43

@WellTidy I do have KP and was applying to KP areas but did not really see an improvement

@VeryNaughtyAuntyLesley enjoy your trip!

@Alicatz66 amazeballs!!!

@NakedAvenger I will take your Bio Oil - I do not find it is greasy! Great for scars/dry skin!

So I have three empties:

  • Lush Milk Bath bubble bar: loved this - got 3 uses out of it, could have got more. Very softening and lovely bubbles
  • Sand & Sky Australian pink clay porefining face mask 13g: tingled and I am not sure what it did
  • Prai Ageless throat and décolletage creme 15ml: lovely and rich but I am not going to buy as expensive- but I will continue to apply cream in this area as it is one I often neglect

Work in progress! I’m going to choose one of each thing to use until it’s finished... this doesn’t even include the contents of my actual make up bag 🙈

I am considering chucking a Rimmel primer which isn't agreeing with my greasy skin. Seems a waste though, if anyone wants it drop me a PM.

I am on my last shower gel!? planning on switching to soap until gifted more.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 19/01/2019 14:03

Empties, 10 year old shampoo from a hotel in Bristol and a Garnier BB cream which I really liked but no repurchase till my other 3 BB creams are finished.

Found out today my local veg/eco shop has a recycling programme for cosmetic packaging which is great.

Experiment627 · 20/01/2019 12:01

@IMissGin what a lovely stash!

@LivingDeadGirlUK tell us more about the recycling?

I have two empties:

  • Acca Kappa green mandarin shower gel 37ml: smell reminds me of work - which is nice
  • Canny Mum Bamboo dry wipes: really like the idea of this product - wet them if you need to, otherwise dry. I have used with micellar water. But cannot stand the smell!

LivingDeadGirlUK · 20/01/2019 12:23

The shop has signed up as a collection point for this www.garnier.co.uk/withingarnier/our-commitments/terracycle and accepts all brands. Covers everything not covered by our usual recycling which is great.

SuzeD29 · 20/01/2019 14:46

Finished my beloved korres sleeping facial cream, a watermelon body butter and an eye cream from boots. I've bought ALOT of products lately though 😬

Alicatz66 · 20/01/2019 20:27

@Experiment627 .. I agree .. love the Prai stuff but too pricey .

Florabritannica · 20/01/2019 22:22

Well I have finished an Espa radiance mask and a Dr Dennis Gross daily peel - which is a great product and highly recommended! Also a Rituals bubble bath. So feeling relatively virtuous.

lightningstrikes · 21/01/2019 11:04

Finished my GOW Azeliac Acid - fab, more on the way. Also reordered the GOW Vitamin C serum, which I finished a week or so ago. Gifted my GOW Niacinimide to DH as I already use another product that contains it. I also ordered another GOW product to try. 3 in and 3 out - stash hasn't decreased, but hasn't got bigger either!

Caggie09 · 22/01/2019 15:28

Does everyone use an SPF daily? Would like to buy one to put under my usual moisturiser, can anyone recommend?

Good to moisturise body butter in Strawberry. Thought it was to sickly smelling, made me soft though.

Jo Loves bath cologne in no.42 Flower shop. I like a bubbly bath, or with colour usually. Smell didnt last too long and a few bubbles faded within 5 mins. Much prefer Jo malone bath oils (Might treat myself if that game comes back)Have more in back up of the mini Jo Loves. I am running out of bath stuff though😬!!

Ted baker body spray, smelt nice. Used after shower or bath. Was 15p in boots so picked 3 up. Prefer perfume.

Jo loves 7ml Green orange and coriander. I loved this, quite masculine, but i like to swap it from sweet scents sometimes. Would purchase a full size, have more perfumes i want to buy first though!

Experiment627 · 23/01/2019 15:27

@Caggie09 I like the Body Shop skin defence one - I put over moisturiser but under foundation

Two empties:

  • Aveeno Baby smoothing relief: ok so Kwicklet used most of this but it was great on my knackered hands. Is a staple now.
  • L'erbolario Frescaessenza body cream 30ml: did not sink in that well

Just reluctantly thrown away my Lush henna shampoo bar Sad. Everytime I used it I got a really itchy scalp and felt like more hair than usual came out! Had it for about 4 years...!

ReguLarapples · 24/01/2019 10:03

Reporting 4 empties,

Toni and guy dry shampoo
Espa facial spray
Le labo rose 31 soap
Autograph sleeping cream

experiment I love aveeno for my own withered dry hands, use it on ds2 quite a lot so I always slather on a little extra Grin

WellTidy · 24/01/2019 14:03

Empties:

REN neroli and grapefruit body cream 50ml - loved this, but masses of body creams in the stash
Molton brown rhubarb and something hand cream - ditto

I love aveeno too. It does a marvellous job on my dry skin. Not a lover of the oats smell though. I have an aveeno apricot yoghurt body lotion thing in the stash. Maybe that is less oaty?

ReguLarapples · 24/01/2019 14:30

imissgin I’d love to have a pick through your stash! Looks amazing

welltidy it probably would be less oaty but maybe also too yoghurty? Not sure which is better Confused

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 24/01/2019 19:48

Finished a Molton Brown shower gel (Tobacco) bought it for DH but he doesn't use it .
It sat on top of my wardrobe foe a year till I thought "Hell why not" and used over the last month.
Not a favourite though.
