Hello can I join please?
I think I have more make-up than I will use for the whole of the rest of my life, and only slightly less skincare. I try to be ruthless about buying more, but am invariably seduced by the GWPs from Soace NK and Cult Beauty. But heavens I do adore my lovely products.

absinthfaerie · 11/01/2019 22:03

flora yes, GWPs!!! Cant fight it, need to get the spaceNK onesas soon as they r out. Last year it got completely out of my control. Im ashamed to be at their deluxe membership tier (having spent over a grand on beauty stuff last year) it’s mainly skincare for me, and occasional luxe makeup product (£64 tinted moisturiser anyone? Confused
P.s. Hi, everyone, been lurking here for ages, but was embarrassed to come clean myself Blush

Florabritannica · 11/01/2019 22:16

absinth you are the first fellow Space NK deluxe member I have met! High five!
Who makes the £64 tinted moisturiser?

Absinthfox · 11/01/2019 22:36

flora, oh god, that's surely a sign that i need to stop!
it's chantecaille 'just skin', and i've been through 3 tubes (not in the last year tho) Confused
i blame my mom - she used to go on these business trips and bring fancy cosmetics from duty frees! been "touche-eclat'ing" my whole face when i was 15 Grin i though it gave me cracking goth-like complexion. i need counselling!

Florabritannica · 11/01/2019 22:58

If you use it and can afford it then surely it’s fine.
My problem is more that I have a cupboard full of free Clinique lipsticks that I will never use and can’t bring myself to bin.

Absinthfox · 11/01/2019 23:15

Flora, if they are new - a lot of charities or women's aid/shelters will happily take them off your hands (or send them to "Beauty Banks" - they'll do the distribution bit for you)!

Florabritannica · 12/01/2019 08:16

That’s a great idea - I shall investigate!

mowglik · 12/01/2019 10:37

Here is my 12 for January :
Corn silk face powder
Lush galactic bath bomb
Perricone blue plasma cleansing treatment
Garner micellar water
Nivea firming body oil
Autograph sleeping cream

Done:
Dior lip glow
Body shop corn scrub mask
Cosrx snail cream
Dynasty of Joseon cream
White wine sleeping pack
Aldi body cream

I could easily cross the galactic bath bomb from my list, I just need to find the time and motivation to run a bath! (I do shower Grin). That corn silk face powder has been on my list for a year and I use it every day, it’s got a hex on it which means it never runs out!

mowglik · 12/01/2019 10:38

Thank you Experiment627 Smile

DamsonWhine · 12/01/2019 17:12

So I was doing really well towards using things up - I had finished my neutrogena hydroboost serum (like) And was nearly at the end of my night cream (Formula Absolute Sleep Cream from M&S, also like) I got my Beauty Pie box with the dehydrated set in it Blush. Plantastic apricot cleanser (LOVE the smell in the pot, but it’s not quite the same when it’s goes on), eye cream (amazing, both fresh feel and rich) and then Jeju night cream which is absolutely amazing so much that I could cry because I know I need to cancel my BP membership because it just doesn’t make sense Sad

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/01/2019 18:25

Another of the Optimum serums done ( I had about five bottles on the go) they still feel heavy but its all the packaging .
I have bought a couple of replacements (on BOGOF )

LivingDeadGirlUK · 13/01/2019 13:22

I found myself feeling sad I got no soap and glory this year. Almost got the zesty gift set as I love that sent but gave my head a wobble after checking the stash and finding a full body butter and body lotion plus a face wash.

I finished a balance me eye cream, just a sample size and I dont think it did much.

tinyradish · 13/01/2019 19:58

I felt the same @livingdeadgirl after not receiving any s+g! Had a look in the sale but I really don't need anything & have lots of other lovely things so will have to wait until next year :)

ememem84 · 13/01/2019 20:58

Ysl plum mascara done. Yay.

I did love this. And will rebut as a post baby no 2 treat to myself when he or she arrives in July/August. By that time I should have cleared enough mascaras to need something else.

Moved onto a ysl purple one now. Used a couple of times and it’s lovely. The lady in the feelunique store here suggested I buy the eyelash primer too (I’m such a sucker...) which I did. The primer is bright white. So the purple super stands out when used with it. 😀

WellTidy · 14/01/2019 09:14

Happy to report an empty - Aromatherapy Associates body lotion. Fantastic, very light but did a superb job of moisturising my very dry skin. I had been putting off using it as I thought it contained lavender which I don't like, but it was sweet almond oil in it. It was a hotel freebie (40ml) and I am now on a REN 50ml hotel freebie from the stash (three years' worth of moisturiser left to get through, people!).

A PP was talking about the Chantecaille tinted moisturiser. I absolutely love Chantecaille Future Skin gel foundation, which is £60. It is a-maz-ing for my dry 40-something skin. I have EL Doublewear Light and YSL Touche Eclat foundation to get through and then I will be re-purchasing. Comes in a pot which you dab your finger in, so no waste (thankfully, at that price).

Experiment627 · 14/01/2019 09:58

Welcome @Florabritannica !!!

Great progress hoarders!!!

I have an empty:

  • Ameliorate transforming body lotion: nice enough but do not like scent and defo too expensive when other cheaper creams work just as well
OP posts:
WellTidy · 14/01/2019 10:31

Experiement I have heard Ameliorate being recommended for KP (the bumpy skin some, including me, get on the backs of arms). Have you used it for this, by any chance? I use a moisturiser with a decent urea content, which gets rid of mine, but I have wondered about getting Ameliorate instead.

VeryNaughtyAuntyLesley · 14/01/2019 12:51

Off to the U.K. I should managed to get some stuff used up, will report back but,

Problem, big problem......to phaphase Pretty Woman.... I have got to go to Boots, for bread and butter stuff but what happens if I spot lots of pretty bottles calling me away from the pharmacy, it has happened before, am I strong enough. There should be a 3 step for people like us, “Hello I am Naughty and I am a cosmeticholic I have not brought anything for 7 days now”.

Alicatz66 · 14/01/2019 17:05

Rejoice !!! Completely empty Dior eyeshadow ! First time use one up and not got fed up and chucked it ... did get a replacement .. also empty Superdrug toner and REN shower gel .. both a bit meh

@WellTidy I use Ameliorate for the bumpy skin on my arms and I has done a great job of getting rid of it. Now starting to use it on my thighs and already seeing some improvement. I've heard of people not liking the smell but can't actually detect a smell myself, though they also do an unfragranced version as well.

tinyradish · 14/01/2019 18:23

I didn't realise there were feeluniqur stores!

Luckily never come across one because that would be dangerous (for my bank balance.)

IPokeBadgers · 14/01/2019 21:14

Finished an eye makeup remover by Estée Lauder. Was fine, came in a Christmas set a few years ago....wouldn't repurchase at full price.

ememem84 · 15/01/2019 12:32

tiny we have one here in jersey and I think there’s one in London.

woodhill · 15/01/2019 19:13

Used a full size body butter up and a L'Oréal skin cream. Not keen on sealed pump dispenser as I think the product is wasted.

Caggie09 · 16/01/2019 06:03

Got rid of a Snow fairy body conditioner, i like the scent and my skin was soft. Possibly repurchase.

Butterbear shower jelly. I loved the scent of this, again skin was soft and i like using the jelly as reminds me of when i younger going into Lush poking and sniffing the jelliesGrin

Manuka honey sheet mask. Was out of Glossybox, not sure of brand. My skin looked really good in the morning. I need more honey facemasks👀
