Thanks. I will look at the smash box one when my stash is reduced. I have a full size REN primer from my advent calendar, and an Estée Lauder illuminating primer to get through, plus two elemis brightened/primers to use too. But the smashbox one is now calling me ...

CantChoose · 08/01/2019 08:19

I also find I use loads of the porefessional so even though it’s good I didn’t stick with it after I tried it.
The smash box one is excellent, you won’t regret it, WellTidy. After you’ve finished all your others, obviously ;)
I use the light one as my primer and just use some of the Clinique pore refining stuff over my nose pores.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 08/01/2019 08:58

I have finished off a bodyshop pumpkin vanila shower gel, I am a bit of a vanila addict and really liked the scent of this. I smell delicious lol.

DragonNoodleCake · 08/01/2019 09:31

Chucked half a mini soap and glory body butter - it smelled funky

Finished a Nivea soft body cream

Yeay something to report

Experiment627 · 08/01/2019 12:00

Picked up a shampoo in Aldi as I do not like the herbal essence one I bought before Christmas. Also picked up a night cream as seen a few people on here talking about them and I have never used one before. Maybe it will help with my wintery dry skin.

bobinks · 08/01/2019 21:33

I'm in!

Promised my DH I'd use up my bathroom stash before buying more.

Is it OK to use v old shampoo & conditioner d'you think? like 5 yo and open? Blush

ememem84 · 08/01/2019 21:46

Joules rose shower gel gone. Yay. On to bar soap now.

That’s two down from my list.

WellTidy · 08/01/2019 22:37

Interesting that we are all finding that we use a lot of product with Porefessional. I asked the Benefit lady in Boots today if this was common, and she said she had never come across it, and that a pea sized amount should be enough.

I will get the smashbox one next, definitely.

I tested some of the Murad serums and eye creams in m and s on the back of my hands today and was really impressed. they are super expensive though, and I have a good 50ml of serum to get through before can buy more. My hands looked great for a while!

CantChoose · 08/01/2019 22:52

@bobkins well I just used my >10 year old shampoo and conditioner and nothing bad happened so I assume it's ok Grin

I've ditched a double wear mascara as I've had it open more than 6 months. I was recommended it by a friend but I don't rate it at all. Very clumpy. Doesn't really smudge admittedly but doesn't look great and was very expensive. I preferred the £2 Rimmel one I was using before! My lovely mum bought me a Lancôme set for Christmas, I really rate their mascara so I'm moving on to one of those. A trial size volume one, can't think of the exact name.

CantChoose · 08/01/2019 22:53

Just realised that based on my normal 3m for a small one 6m for full size, I got a year and a half worth of mascara for Christmas. One less thing to buy on mat leave I guess!
Unless there was one in the M&S calendar I've forgotten about - then it will be even longer!

Experiment627 · 09/01/2019 05:51

That argan hair mask will probably be alright caggie. I get that brand from primark sometimes - just used up one of the hot oil tubes which was quite nice.

Any body shop recommendations? I've got a voucher & don't know what to buy. Got enough body cream for a year so don't need that!

DamsonWhine · 10/01/2019 21:52

Hello. If this is where I come to use stuff up, then I think I need this Blush

Whatdo you want to know about me? Stash isn’t massive but I get easily distracted...

Ponks · 10/01/2019 22:16

@tinyradish I like the Body Shop fragrances, particularly vanilla, and there's also a nice pomegranate one. For skincare I like their vitamin C range. I have the vitamin C skin recover and it lasts for ages and does seem to improve the look of your skin.

Empties-wise, I've finished a Body Shop rose fragrance mist , thrown out an ancient Boots 17 lipstick that was lovely neutral colour initially but faded to a bright pink on the lips over time, which I really didn't like, and finished a Superdrug shower gel mini - I get these at Christmas every year and they are great for the gym.

ememem84 · 11/01/2019 06:40

Finished my shampoo and conditioner. Lee Stafford poker straight. And the ysl mascara. Yaaaas.

So that’s another 3 from my list.

Sitranced · 11/01/2019 10:58

Sorry for intruding, I don't really have much to add other than I've used up a soap and I'm onto the next into my stash (3 left but I always buy in bulk anyway). I came onto the thread just to say, every time I see this thread title I always read it as - come and join our time off in lieu Grin

ememem84 · 11/01/2019 11:10

Another empty this morning. Tresseme dry shampoo. Probably sprayed far far too much on this morning to use it up. But it’s gone. On to a Pantene one next.

WellTidy · 11/01/2019 12:11

Body Shop - I like the their hemp hand cream, almond shower gel (not as nice as Occitane, but loads cheaper) and vit c face stuff. I must say though that I have not bought anything for myself from there since about 1989, what I have used will have been presents.

I have an empty - Estée Lauder ANR eye cream. I have another (two?) in the stash so will not replace.

WellTidy · 11/01/2019 12:13

ememem how would you say the tresemme dry shampoo compares to batiste (the only one have ever used)?

ememem84 · 11/01/2019 12:25

well it’s on a par if absolutely buy again. Think cheaper too.

mowglik · 11/01/2019 15:17

Hello all, can I rejoin? I had a beauty box and a calendar last month and I’m overflowing in products again. Confused I have also joined the no beauty spend thread so this year should see a good reduction in my stash.

I’m going to make a list of 12 to finish this month, will update with list.. love reading about everyone’s empties hope to add mine soon Smile

tinyradish · 11/01/2019 17:04

Thank you for the suggestions :) I must admit, I didn't wait around but instead went ahead & ordered the 'Oils of Life' day cream & facial oil. Helpfully they're nice!

Experiment627 · 11/01/2019 17:33

@tinyradish I LOVE their Vitamin E serum in oil

Welcome @DamsonWhine !!!

Welcome @Sitranced !!!

Welcome back @mowglik !!!!

Amazeballs progress ladies!!!!
Wahoo!!!

I have 3 empties:

  • Dr Organic Manuka Honey face mask: quite hydrating
  • Molton Brown Jasmine & Sun Rose shower gel 100ml: not a fan of scent
  • Body Shop British Rose fresh plumping mask sachet: um not sure as just used - face seems much unchanged
