Garnier

RiskIt4Biscuit · 18/12/2018 11:31

Finished a Maria Nila Pure Volume Shampoo.
Absolutely love this and have bought already put a new 1 litre bottle in the shower.

Suzyloo · 18/12/2018 17:16

I've finished an Ahava body lotion, which came in a Look Fantastic box. Absolutely DIVINE and the sample lasted a decent amount of time. But it's £20+ for a full size, so I'm back on my 3 for 2 Soap and Glory tubs from Boots Grin.

Notreallyhere23 · 18/12/2018 17:26

Finished an actual full size, not sample Shock Clarins Double Serum- probably won’t rebuy to be honest, it’s ok but not love.

Serum is the thing I struggle most to find something I love though. I think I expect too much!

DragonNoodleCake · 18/12/2018 18:02

Sorted through a drawer and chucked 4 old mascaras!

Finished a few sample size things when travelling

To be honest with M&S calendar and birch boxes I've got more than ever to use!

I've gifted some stuff to friends tho

lightningstrikes · 18/12/2018 18:56

Finished a Jack Wills mini shower gel and chucked an old mascara. I need to have a clear out badly and rethink my storage. The stash grows ever larger and I've run out of room. Treated myself to some new make up brushes and eyeshadow for Christmas party on Saturday. I'm incorrigible 😁

ememem84 · 18/12/2018 21:49

lightening whichbrushes djd you get? Mine are currently a mix of real techniques and body shop.

A couple of days of a primer left and then that’s another empty.

twoblackdogs · 19/12/2018 09:28

I've been on IG enjoying "Project Pan" people. It is nice to see it's doable. Project 19 for 2019 sounds good.
And no-buy 2019 sounds even better.
I have spent so much money for my makeup, I must get something back for it, so I'll try.
I have a big square glass vase, and all empties of 2019 will go in there. Let's see how much I can use up.

lightningstrikes · 19/12/2018 10:39

ememem84 I picked up some in Tesco, SoEco is the brand. Cruelty free and they had a nice set with 4 basic brushes and a case. I also bought the eyeshadow blending brush. I've not used it yet, as I don't wear eyeshadow most days (which doesn't bode well for any panning projects - ha!). Used the blusher brush today though and it's nice!

applesandpears33 · 19/12/2018 11:38

I'm still working my way through stuff. Finished off a bottle of nuxe oil which I loved and a can of hair shine spray (can't remember the name) which was OK, but nothing special. I've kept a list of things I've used up in 2018 and have finished off about 43 items. Still got a lot to go though. I reckon I have enough eye shadow to last at least ten years at the rate I use stuff up. I've also bought an M&S calendar and two Boots protect and perfect gift sets that were reduced.

woodhill · 19/12/2018 18:09

I've done really well this year and used up loads of stuff.

However, I succumbed and bought M&S beauty calendar and my dh bought me the l'occitaine one

Alicatz66 · 19/12/2018 18:32

Finished a full sized Clarins firming moisturiser.. not replacing as trying to replace stuff with cruelty free .. pretty expensive too !

ememem84 · 19/12/2018 21:13

@twoblackdogs I’ve just looked at project pan. I am going to post on ig with my update. And will post pic here.

ememem84 · 19/12/2018 21:15

Ahem. 3 pan

Ive been overwhelmed with advent calendar stock! Got a pile of stuff ill be giving away, most im keeping though.

Used up a soild deodrant bar from lush. Like the idea of it, but not for me. I smelt at the end of the dayBlush

Mitchum ultimate stick. I like this but at £5 its no different to the £2, works the same for me. And it wouldnt twist, so had to dismantle it. Have 3 deos in back up.

Skin Therapy hand and foot scrub. Had this years, got it for pennies. Have 2 more to use. Would just use a body scrub tp do hands and feet usually.

Revlon foundation. My go to, buy 3 at a time.

Really want to try and not spend so much next year on products, really eager to get going and just use what i have🙈 Will need a new concealor, and Essie gel topcoat, some razor heads and tubs of body lotion. So more money to spendGrin

twoblackdogs · 20/12/2018 10:55

ememem I think I found you there on ig Wink Browsed ig today, and found the same pic.
Not stalking you or smth Smile, just looked for panned UD palettes, and there it was.
I think ig is a bit better for this panning thing, because seeing is believing and all that. And for that enabling thing as well. There's something weirdly satisfying in seeing all that used up makeup. At least I have a feeling I am not alone in that mad buying.
However, there's that lady on ig who has 97 palettes. In comparison to that, I am a sad beginner.
Still no buy 2019 for me. Holding on tight.

Nakedavenger74 · 20/12/2018 18:17

Excited at my use ups this morning.

  • Clarins eye serum -repurposed as an all over face moisturiser after it had been lurking in a drawer for 3 years and had lost its label from a leaking hair oil. I loved it but won't buy again
  • This Works In Transit Camera Close Up Primer. Hated it. Sticky
  • Cotton wool pads. Not a biggy but I've got lovely soft reuseable cotton pads as a replacement to cut down on one use disposable stuff.
  • Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner. Smelled gorgeous but as you apply in the shower and wash off I can't say it did a thing!

Focus now is to plough through the 3 other primers I have and select the best for repurchase: Chanel Le Blanc, Stila One Step Correct and Benefit Porefessional.

Same thing I'm working my way through 4 BB/CC creams now it's summer: Clarins, Chanel, Laura Mercia and Clinique. Last two are likely to be gifted as the LM makes me look tangoed and the Clinique is too damp.

Last week I finally used up a huge 5 year stock of French shower gels and shampoo and conditioner to now have... none! Have moved onto no plastic in the shower. Just shampoo and conditioner bars by Ethique (love these) and Lush Ro's Argan Soap which is so wonderfully scented and luxurious. Feels so liberating to be free of that stock and the shower room looks so clean and empty!

ememem84 · 20/12/2018 19:41

twoblackdogs no worries. Feel free to follow.

AuntyJackiesBrothersSistersBoy · 20/12/2018 21:16

Indeed Labs Retinol Cream. I’m glad that’s done. Didn’t rate it much.

Garnier BB Oil Free finished but have bought another as I really like this.

ememem84 · 22/12/2018 08:39

CLarins instant light highlighter. Done.

Alicatz66 · 22/12/2018 08:50

Done with a Clarins face scrub.. replaced with a Liz Earle out of the stash
Also .. have discovered the best eyeliner ever !! Im terrible with the pen ones .. have bought an RMS beauty vintage cake eyeliner and a real techniques brush ... AMAZING .. and easy to use with no wobbly lines xx

Experiment627 · 22/12/2018 20:40

@ememem84 well done on the panning!!! What Instagram handle should I follow to see make-up panning- which I find SO motivating!!!

@Nakedavenger74 I too have switched to reusable make-up remover pads - I much prefer to cotton wool.
One day I will "go naked" with my shampoo etc - good on you!!!

I have two empties:

  • Nudestix lip and cheek pencil in "Mystic": this was from a 2016 advent!!! But I only started using this year. Great nude base - I loved it!
  • Rituals Ritual of Sakura magic touch body cream 70ml: nice texture but did not think much of smell and realised once finished it contains a fertility busting silicone!

I think I used #panthatpallet and #useupmakeup on my pic. Same as posted here.

I’m also using reusable make up wipes. My skin is much better for it I think.

Experiment627 · 23/12/2018 10:45

I have an empty:
-Dr Organic aloe vera shampoo 265ml: was fine when preggers not so much now - hair just gets too greasy

Was away at Xmas markets in Germany so finished up a a small hotel shower gel shampoo, a mini dove shampoo and a balance me face wash, as well as a Garnier roll on antiperspirant.

However, due to my love of German drugstores I have come home with 5 tubes of toothpaste, 2 handcreams, 2 roll on antiperspirant deodorants, a foot gel and a caudalie shower gel..,.😲
