Which perfume always gets you a compliment?

I love perfume & seem to spend a lot of my disposable income on it. Either cheapies from next & Zara or more expensive brands 2nd hand on eBay. Yet no one ever comments on how nice I smell. I like to think this is because I tend to use quite fresh/citrusy scents which aren't too strong rather than people just don't like how I smell.

So just out of curiosity, do you have a perfume that people always notice or comment positively on?

I always get complimented when I wear Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline, it's my favourite and get a waft of it throughout the day too

Many al rehab perfume oil, cheap as chips. Choco musk in particular gets me loads of compliments whenever I wear it. Countless people have asked me to write the name down for them.

Interesting question! I buy lots of different ones throughout the year...mostly nice branded ones. My husband has only ever commented on Chloe and Si by Giorgio Armani. Funnily enough no one ever mentions the perfume....I honestly do not smell it on me after first whiff.

I've had loads of compliments for my (perfume parlour dupe) Pomegranate Noir- I smile and say thank you and never admit it's a knockoff

I have worn the same perfume for 20 years, amariage givinchy.

It’s the only one I ever get comments on despite trying others.

Any recommendations perfume experts for something to change/update to.

I change my perfume regularly, probs my a different one every day so people don't go noseblind to me.

I own and buy a lot of perfumes and aftershaves but don't recall the last time anyone complimented any of them. So disappointing for someone so scent-obsessed!

DSister usually says that I smell like "me" when I'm wearing Terre d'Hermès and DH likes CB I Hate Perfume Burning Leaves but that's as good as it gets.

Issey Miyake. I tend to wear it during the day as it is so light. I wear others during the evening but hardly ever get compliments on them. Maybe I should just wear issey all the time!

In fact someone complimented me on it today!

properlavs Angel is one of those fragrances that smell fantastic or awful. On my best friend it smells fantastic on me awful. I like paco rabanne olympea. The one I get comments on is sweetheat by ghost but some find it too sweet on them. OP trying using a matching body lotion and layer the fragrance and also using a perfume version instead if the eau de toilette.

yogagirl do you know that Lidl glamour is a copy of coco mademoiselle? I have used it and althou doesn't last as long is pretty close to the original

That's interesting re Angel- to me it smells like sweat and urine.

If someone is wearing it near me I have to walk away BUT maybe I am only noticing those who can't wear it!

Strangers come up to me in the street when I am wearing La Vie Est Belle by Lancôme.

Mine are: Clinique Aromatics (I’ve had so many men ask me what it is and where they can get it from), O de Lancôme (have been told I smell delicious like a spa!), La Perla (women often ask what it is), Daisy Marc Jacobs and Coco Mademoiselle.

Angel here too - I think it's one of those fragrances you either love or hate as it's so distinctive like marmite 😁

I can’t stand Angel but adore Alien. The woman at the Boots perfume counter said customers only seem to love one or the other, never both. The new Aura one is more like Alien and I love it.

Love Mugler Aura, but feel very self conscious wearing it.

Chanel Allure. I think it’s the most heavenly fragrance, and I’m always complimented on it.
