Kitty( I told MrShop about Blingy's* suggestion. His response (he has met Blingy) was pretty much Hmm
I am so excited

QueenCyan · 28/09/2018 11:12

Oh dry please dress up like a TOWIE person Grin

MarshaBradyo · 28/09/2018 12:06

Quick look at Harrods mag and fashion goes back to the 80s

We seem stuck in cycling between 70s / 80 / 90s reinterpretation. I still quite like it but forever?

QueenCyan · 28/09/2018 17:01

I’ve come shopping with dd. Painful experience. I have a feeling my evening will be spent waiting outside changing rooms. Don’t know where she gets it from Grin

shopafrolic · 28/09/2018 17:55

LOL QueenC have fun

I know what you mean Marsha I feel as though nothing much changes anymore. I had my hair done today and all the young assistants are wearing combats and cropped tops like All Saints back in the day. I feel as though I have been wearing much the same thing for years. Is that just what happens as we get older or am I officially not trendy anymore?

Longislandicetee · 28/09/2018 18:12

Grin Shop! Can you tell MrShop that if you book a return, my option is actually cheaper. I am saving him money! To be fair....That's if you go at separate times and you're alone. If there's 2 of you travelling at same time then taxi is cheaper.

DryWhiteagainW · 28/09/2018 18:31

How does a TOWIE dress QueenC? Confused

Now panic dressing Grin

Just ordered this skirt and this sweater in an effort to recreate the look from the Me&em catalogue with trainers. Feel the need to up my school run game. Hoping the colours work together - it's a bit of a departure for me. Will report back.

QueenCyan · 28/09/2018 20:26

You’re probably already dressed dry but this is what you should be wearing

DryWhiteagainW · 29/09/2018 08:59

QueenC Grin

So, 5mins before departure, dresses in black slim trousers, heels, top, haistily and very badly applied nail varnish on toes I receive an emergency fashion call from a friend “dress! Dress!”
Record breaking change of clothes Grin

Shop you will totally rock that look

VivaVegas · 29/09/2018 09:04

Hi, thanks to those asking after me, night went ok but no further forward but on the positive no steps backwards either!
Wore all black in the end, black skinnies and bought this top. Tried on loads but this suited me the best and felt like me. I also kept this Mint Velvet top, wasn't what I wanted for the night out but is really nice.
I really want some navy suede boots this winter, but completely flat but for daytime. Tried navy boots which I really liked but they were huge in my size, and wide fit whereas I'm narrow. If anyone sees any please shout.
I also want a bright sweatshirt, although quite tempted by that red sweater Shop, looks lovely.

QueenCyan · 29/09/2018 09:38

vegas that’s a positive that it wasn’t negative iyswim. It’ll take time. Love that lipsy top. I don’t know if you’re into reading but I found this book good. Also the love languages. Both are a bit cheesy/American but good principles about rediscovering each other and doing nice things for each other.

Hope the skirt works shop as it’s lovely.

Dreamqueen · 29/09/2018 10:33

I'm back in the land of the living! Still feel a bit rough but so much better than last week.

Can't catch up with all the purchases on here. My credit card has also enjoyed the enforced rest.

I go on hols on Monday so channelling my inner Dry and trying to pack more lightly.

I love the Meandem skirt Shop Can totally see you rocking that look.

libertyonhertravels · 29/09/2018 11:22

Great skirt Shop.

I've loved the MU round ups and thanks for the links - Bernice that dress is great and I can totally see how it suited you so well. The APC print is great Kitty and Mara, I was tempted when it was first linked but decided against due to the black trims.

Have made my first spring purchase - these linen cullottes in navy

MarshaBradyo · 29/09/2018 13:32

Nice Lib and Shop

I’m so keen to buy a dress for AW: the brief is a day time dress, one can lunch in ;

Also need a beach dress, sandals and bag

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 29/09/2018 16:43

I've bought this dress for AW - if it's a keeper it'll be good to wear with a turtleneck heat tech top and various boots or Stan smiths Smile ordered 2 sizes to try. It will be too long so if I love it I'll get it taken up.

We are away for the weekend at PILs, lots of cuddles for DS from family and friends! I'm wearing my MiH Marrakesh flares as they actually fit, woohoo but brought harem pants for evening

viva glad it didn't go too badly, and I'm sure you looked great!

lib the culottes look good, loads of people were wearing them here this summer.

maradesbois · 29/09/2018 23:41

lib love your commitment to autumn palette! The black is minimal but I like that it links well to black tights & shoes. Same goes for my brown & cream Marni dress with black collar.

Did anyone see the Hedi Céline show (I refuse to drop the é!)? Waif like models in tiny sequinned dresses - I found it really retrograde as if trying to wipe out the Phoebe years of a woman designing for other women.

In other Céline news I saw a woman with a forest green trio at lunch today, want, want, want (not designed by HS)!

Blair that’s a gorgeous dress, love a skinny polo neck under dresses in winter too.

Dry how did it go?

Shop love the skirt and slouchy jumper look for you.

lib so envious that you are going into spring. Was meaning to ask do you think your fashion sense has changed since the move? I am pleasantly surprised to learn of all these Aussie/NZ labels, the world of fashion seems so homogenised it is nice to hear about new stuff that we don’t have access to.

maradesbois · 29/09/2018 23:42

Vegas glad the evening was ok, think you have to take that as a positive small step.

DryWhiteagainW · 30/09/2018 08:18

Mara the evening was slightly hysterical.

OP posts:
MarshaBradyo · 30/09/2018 09:53

Mara yes I thought the same, and not dropping the Céline either. My first impression with some of the models was their strange walk. No idea what was going on there. But it was all very Hedi.

Love, love the sound of a forest green trio (dangerous)

libertyonhertravels · 30/09/2018 10:36

We'll need more details Dry Smile

Mara I'm less strict on the colours than I was! I don't think my style has changed much but it's much more casual here than in London - not a single person wears heels at work for example - a low block heel is about as high as it gets. And the overall vibe where I live is very understated - no obvious labels or bling.

I am impressed with the NZ home grown labels - I'm debating the following items for spring/summer:

Kowtow dress
Love this vest but struggling with the price!
Sweater
T-shirt dress
Juliette Hogan dress
Another JH dress
Love this print but can't do spaghetti straps
[[https://juliettehogan.com/collections/tops-tees/products/suki-shirt-leo-cotton-sun?variant=12369138876512 Love this shirt]]

I do miss Cos and Uniqlo though and easy access to H&M - it's only in Auckland so far and they don't do online. I have so far avoided ordering from UK as returns are such a faff.

DryWhiteagainW · 30/09/2018 14:53

The Juliette Hogan stuff is lovely Liberty, and I love the dandelion sweater too

shopafrolic · 01/10/2018 09:17
