Seeing as the Spencer wedding thread in S&B was so popular, here's a thread to discuss all royal fashion.

(If we could stick to critiquing the clothes rather than the women wearing them then that would be great!)

I love the black full-skirted dress Meghan is wearing but am lukewarm on Kate's pale blue coatdress.

Meghan looks stunning today. I love her whole outfit.

Kate looks staid, as usual.

Meghan looks absolutely amazing.

Camilla looks great as usual.

That pale blue hat is in a similar style to the christening one. Not a fan.

Love MMs black dress. It's a bit Autumnal though. Surprised she didn't go for something a little more summery. All the wonderful summer hues to chose from ...

If she'd picked a bright colour then she would've probably been criticised for not taking the event seriously enough!

Meghan looks fab today. Kate looks safe.

I bet both are grateful it's a little cooler today though - hot outfits!

Sophie looks good today too in a white cowl neck dress.

It doesn’t look like there is much sisterly communication going on re the outfits for public events. Meghan seems that she is in much darker colours than the rest of the Royal family. Just a thought

Meghan's dress is a custom Dior and harks back to the label's New Look of the 40s and 50s. Which I like far better than their recent fad for Joe Boxer straps on everything!

Yes, MM looks absolutely gorgeous today. I do agree about the colour though, it almost looks like a Remembrance Day thing. But I am nitpicking!

I remain a fan of Kate's looks. I know she doesn't deviate but honestly, she always looks so elegant and I respect that she obviously just feels comfortable in a certain outfit.

Just had a gander at the pics on the DM, the Cambridges/Sussexes are being called the 'Fab Four'

All very elegant. After yesterday's ponytail, Meghan reverted to something more familiar.

I think Meghan's dress is navy rather than black, which makes it a less somber choice. I like her pale (not nude) shoes with it too. But there is something odd going on in the boob area - almost like you can see her nipples, but I doubt that's the case.

I think it's just the darts on the bodice. I've seen it happen with actresses at several awards ceremonies etc. You'd think that for that sort of money the designer would get it right!

I'm looking at MM and Catherine's shoes today and wondering why as usual, Catherine's look frumpy and Meghan's look elegant. It is a puzzle to me.

The Mail have done their usual "how to get the look" bit on Kate's outfit but not Meghan's. I have no desire to own a pale blue housecoat but I wouldn't mind a chic black dress!

I love MM's dress. I'd have put a lighter colour hat with it or some bright shoes - if it's navy, it's a very very dark navy and slightly lighter would have been more summery. But the shape is gorgeous

Love Sophie's dress, Kate is fine but nothing wonderful (though TBH if I had an event the day after my DC's christening and he was still only 11 weeks old, picking a wonderful outfit wouldn't be my priority either)

I've figured out my problem with nude shoes, though: individually they can look nice and flattering, but en masse they are very blah. I should say that I love shoes, and I often plan an outfit starting at the bottom (which I know isn't feasible for people who know that they will mostly be photographed from the waist up). But it makes the shoes seem a bit of an after thought and very unoriginal.

Harper's Bazaar site and others are reporting that Meghan's dress is navy, which is what I thought on seeing the first photograph of it. In other photos it looks black. I agree that it is a beautiful dress, and she looks stunning in it.

As an aside, what a lovely family photo. Looks like Wills has just told some childhood story or joke about Harry.

She hasn't cottoned on to that very British fashion thing where light colours are for summer and darker colours for winter. So she kind of stands out in a crowd of pastels.

As lovely as MM looks, totally looks like she is attending a funeral. Something about her outfit is off. I can't really put my finger on it. I love Kate's and Camilla's outfits though. The Q and her love for colours! She reminds me of my great grandma.

Harry and Meghan are off to Ireland now and will be attending a garden party this evening.

Meghan's dress is beautiful BUT I feel it would be even more flattering if the neck would have been slightly lower to show a bit more collarbone.

I'm nitpicking tho, obviously.

Possibly. Navy blue is very much a spring/summer color in the US and generally speaking is considered more chic than pastels.
