Seeing as the Spencer wedding thread in S&B was so popular, here's a thread to discuss all royal fashion.

(If we could stick to critiquing the clothes rather than the women wearing them then that would be great!)

I think it looks good- she can definitely carry off the colour

She seems so subdued in comparison to the engagement months. Maybe just getting used to it all. I hope she's OK.

It makes her skin look ashen.

Yellow is very tricky. You have to get the right shade.

Yes, I wanted colour. I bet she watches this thread. She listened last time when we said, more tailored.
I like it, but MM needs more accessories. ( if it was Máxima, she’d be wearing a giant yellow hat, matching yellow shoes, chunky necklace and a hand bag decorated in sunflowers 🌻) But I love Máxima!

@CurlyWurlyTwirly I think she's more of a minimalist, hence the lack of accessories. Let's face it, if you look like her then the best accessory you've got is your face!

Lord, that yellow! Horrid.

She shouldn't wear vivid colours or spring.winter palettes. She would look good in a summer palette, or autumn.

I also think she is looking more subdued

I thought Kate had editorial control with the Vogue pictures? In the tv programme, Shulman Kate agreed if she could choose the clothes and not leave Norfolk. I think they were hoping for a bit more glamour! It was certainly very disappointing.

I don't know how true the colour is when reproduced in pictures if that makes sense. I wouldn't have thought Meghan would go for something unflattering.

I think the yellow is ok. She needs a bit more of a tan & brighter lipstick 💄. That sort of colour would looking zinging on Michelle Obama

Kate looked lovely in a yellow dress on a tour a couple of years ago. I think she also wore it at Wimbledon. Slim fitting. Very chic.

@Clionba I agree, it was VOGUE and it could've been an amazing chance for a British designer to showcase some gorgeous gowns and it ended up looking more like s shoot for Horse & Hound or The Lady's Girls in Pearls.

I quite like the yellow dress but I think it would have looked nicer with a softer up do (not a messy up do) the overall impression is a bit harsh for my liking, and looking at it again I’m not sure the length suits her.

It’s actually a paler yellow than Amal Clooney’s RW dress.
I think the shade is not quite right. She should have gone paler or darker

Pippa was at Wimbledon today wearing a cute sundress, though I'm not sure I care for the espadrilles.

I think the yellow is rather nice. She can pull it off due to her colouring. I also like the lack of accessories and the simple hair bun. Agree wholeheartedly with QueenoftheAndals re her face being her best accessory! She looks lovely.

I like Kate's off-duty style. There is nothing wrong with a Breton and ballet pumps/wedge heels IMO! Not cutting edge no, but she wears what she likes and feels comfortable in.

I actually prefer Meghan’s dress

I think Meghan looks great in the yellow dress - the simple cut is kind of her signature and the neckline shows off her arms a la Michelle Obama. Yellow is notoriously hard to photograph so the shade may look completely different in person.

Pippa’s dress is gorgeous. Can’t believe she’s about 5 or 6 months pregnant.

I think Meghan looks gorgeous in that yellow dress, it really suits her in both colour and cut. I really like her unfussy style, all the clean lines etc.
