I could be talked into it!

CheapTarnishedGlitter · 16/06/2018 19:43

Hello!! MrsL is it outing to say where the lovely Guerlain counter is? Sounds brilliant!

PIAM I like London 1969 and Ealing Green too - good picks. It's not really green but Scenthusiasm is fresh and crisp so worth a go. And in the spirit of here's a bag I like my other 4160s faves are Goodbye Piccadilly (not a popular one though), Amber Mambo and Oriane.

My All Beauty basket no longer has Shalimar and Habanita in it...Blush

OCSock · 16/06/2018 19:43

SoTd has been PP dupe of Le Labo 31 (roses and more rose). It's only just there now, but it has been a good 10 hours and several hand washes, plus cooking SE Asian food.

What shall we eat on this weekend away? I like to cook.

OCSock · 16/06/2018 19:44

But not desserts... don't really do dessert. Cheese, Louise?

MrsLucas · 16/06/2018 19:57

Do you reckon we could combine it with a 4160 Workshop?

UnnecessaryFennel · 16/06/2018 20:02

Oh, you see I'm quite fond of both puddings and cheese...

mrsreynolds · 16/06/2018 20:05

Im quite good at cakes...

CountFosco · 16/06/2018 20:37

After reading the thread on antisocial perfumes I'm wearing Salome as my SotE Grin. I first tried it very early in my perfumista journey and although it still reminds me of a (very classy) students bedroom I can distinguish the notes much better. More rose than I remember last time and I get the hay and oakmoss this time as well. I am slightly worried I'm going to end up with a full set of Papillon FBs. Between Dryad (which I already have), Anubis and this I think I'd be in perfumista heaven.

MrsLucas · 16/06/2018 20:38

Can we play Scrabble to Perfumista rules?

CountFosco · 16/06/2018 20:41

MrsL and what are the perfumista scrabble rules? I prefer Suduko myself.

MrsLucas · 16/06/2018 20:43

Only perfume related vocab allowed, proper names (of perfume) are fine Grin.

MrsLucas · 16/06/2018 20:46

Perhaps we should have an antisocial perfumes flash mob tomorrow to balance things out?

washewihersen · 16/06/2018 20:47

MrsLucas I've only just gone and bought an atomiser sample of the M&H you recommended from eBay it sounds right up my street. I'll blame the football!

SwedishEdith · 16/06/2018 20:49

For any lurkers ...

I do lurk on these threads from time to time but I used to love Tresor and wear either La Vie est Belle or Mon Guerlain these days. Grin

MrsLucas · 16/06/2018 20:59
PestymcPestFace · 16/06/2018 21:02

I may have to wear Scent Grin

Thanks for the gin suggestion, it was well timed. I have a cup of tea in the other hand.

SE Asian food you say? Mmmm I'm in. I can do puddings (and every bloody special dietary requirement known to mankind).

mrsreynolds · 16/06/2018 21:03

I dont mind tresor

But pink mingers make my nose itch 😣

Judydreamsofhorses · 16/06/2018 21:03

SOTD is Byredo Gypsy Water for a trip to the hairdresser.

I like cheese and puddings.

UnnecessaryFennel · 16/06/2018 21:06

Edith Grin

PestymcPestFace · 16/06/2018 21:11

Did finish the London to Mumbai and chucked the empty sampler away. Is it just me who finds it a little sad when you finish a nice but not FB sample?

Not wearing the Cape Heartache (could not bear the thought of strawberries Wink) SotD is Habinita with an evening top up of Neroli Portofino.

I'm currently having to compete with the garlic crop which is hung up to dry and a large amount of rather friendly brie that is trying to crawl around the kitchen.

BlueKittens · 16/06/2018 21:16

Antisocial perfumista outing sounds fun- I’ve still got a bit of my Bat sample left Wink

SOTD was Guerlain L’Heure Bleu courtesy of MrsL very tempted to buy a FB on AllBeauty

PestymcPestFace · 16/06/2018 21:17

Edith Mon Guerlain is weird, smells awful on me comes out sweet and ewww. BUT is does smell really rather nice of some people.

And stuff with rhubarb in + my skin = acrid sweat. Yet I can smell it on others and like it (this of course explains several expensive mistakes).

OP posts:
mrsreynolds · 16/06/2018 21:25

Pink mingers actually make me feel nauseous.

No idea why...well in the case of LPRN I do know...its the cherry 🤢

SwedishEdith · 16/06/2018 21:37

I'd love to like a more sophisticated smell but I don't seem to have the nose. And I'm not knowledgeable to know why I like the ones I do. I do look on Fragantica and everyone seems to love and hate everything so reinforces my liking/disliking of the ones I do. Grin.

Anyway, I don't want to derail. ( But I do think Bronze Goddess is a terrible name for a perfume. Imagine having to ask for that with a straight face? maybe it's something to with having pasty Celtic skin so have never smelt of coconut sun oil ).

mrsreynolds · 16/06/2018 21:54

I'm not sure I'd call my taste sophisticated 😁
