Blue denim, over t-shirt and trainers. I'm average /petite size . I'm 37 tho - is this a massive no-no...??!!!

Love my fat face ones and I'm 50

zippyswife · 17/04/2018 08:53

Those fat face ones up thread are lovely!

@dance thank you! I think they do them in tall too (in-store anyway). I’m 5’8 and they seem long enough in the body for me. Give them a go.

zippyswife · 17/04/2018 10:26

Went for the ASOS ones in the end. Tough call though. Thanks for the comments!

stopdropandroll · 17/04/2018 16:04

these are the topshop ones, i got my usual size but “regular” instead of petite as they were so short in the body even though i’m only 5’1”

The are lovely on you stop... I want a black pair nowGrin

Ridiculouslyso · 17/04/2018 18:48

Just ordered some ASOS ones too, 99 to 1 they'll be going straight back as they won't suit me!

Cherrypi · 18/04/2018 12:17

My Lucy and yak ones have arrived. I ordered some large black cotton ones that are quite baggy but they are the most comfortable item of clothing I’ve ever owned. The medium cord ones are so snuggly and look great standing up but a bit tight when crawling around on the floor. I’m slimming at the moment so think I’ll keep them for the autumn.

Duckswaddle · 18/04/2018 12:22

Has anyone come across a nice slouchy loungewear style of dungarees? Grey or black? Can't seem to find any around.

NKFell · 18/04/2018 12:58

duck I have some grey jersey material ones from ASOS but not sure if they still have them.

Duckswaddle · 18/04/2018 20:17

Jersey! That's the material I was trying to think of. Will have a mooch on asos. Grin

CathysGhost · 18/04/2018 20:24

After reading this thread I bought topshop ones. Love them. Im 37. I don't give a shite.

Hoosh · 20/04/2018 14:24

I just got some Fatface ones Grin. I'm 45, 5' 3" and do not give a shit if I look like an elderly toddler because they are SO COMFORTABLE!!

Hoosh · 20/04/2018 14:37

Tried to post a pic which failed (I think). Will try again. Apologies if this thread gets filled with pictures of me in front of the mirror in my teenager's pit of a bedroom.

FYI I'm usually a 12 in most things. These are a 10. Fat Face are pretty generous with the sizing I think. I tried a 12 as they're supposed to be on the loose side but I think they were way too baggy for me as I'm short.

I wore mine today with a yellow, short sleeved blouse and a head scarf for a retro look.

MollyH1 · 20/04/2018 17:24

Don't know whether to keep these? I'm wary that they are emphasising my thighs and my pear shape in general. Not sure I'd feel confident going out in them, so I'm not sold on them yet!
Also, very sorry for the dirty mirror and pink background...the room is a tip and I'm tidying this weekend 😬

Chimchar · 20/04/2018 17:51

I've joined the club too.
Bought the fat face ones...I'm a curvy 14. I look very boobalicious in them, but am wearing a skin tight top under them. A slightly looser top will be better I think. They are sooooooo comfy. Smile

Chimchar · 20/04/2018 17:54

@MollyH1 you look great in yours....long and lean! Smile

MollyH1 · 20/04/2018 17:57

I think the mirror distorts thing...I am 5ft 4 and in no way long! I might give them a go as they are very comfy, that's for sure! I'll try and not feel self-conscious wearing them, once I've worn them out once I think I'll feel better.

Ridiculouslyso · 20/04/2018 18:08

My Asos ones arrived and I love em! Will try and get a pic later

Hoosh · 20/04/2018 18:42

Molly they look fab on you Star. I haven't worn mine yet other than trying them on when they arrived - will do it tomorrow.

I sometimes need to force myself to wear new things in 'real life' even if I really like them. It's daft really.

privateporcupine · 20/04/2018 18:52

Keep them Molly 👍

MollyH1 · 20/04/2018 19:07

Hoosh, I'm exactly the same...I know I like them now as they're sooo comfy, but I know I will need a little boost of confidence before I wear them out properly...it's really silly isn't it!?

neveradullmoment99 · 20/04/2018 22:24

I think you all look great in them but what about from behind. I think that's the most challenging. I think dungarees look great from the front but emphasise the bum which I feel very self conscious over. Anyone else feel that way? I always end up wearing a cardi with them.

Hoosh · 20/04/2018 23:23

I know what you mean, never - that's a concern of mine too, but I've decided:

a) sod it, I wore sooo much more out-there and frankly weird stuff when I was younger so dungarees is fine, and

b) I think that the ones I got (Fat Face) look better on me because the back of them is more of a classic dungaree back. Others I tried just had an extra bit of denim above the back waistband then the straps. That just cut me in half and really emphasised my childbearing hips Smile

My advice is try on as many pairs as you can. I've had 6 different styles and sizes delivered and all but one are going back.

Figgygal · 21/04/2018 07:30

I've ordered the fat face ones today need to just try on a pair and decide if I've got the guts to wear them or not
