Is this top really ageing/unflattering?

They have one in the sale now and I thought I might try it. I'm in my 20s and I know the tops aren't the height of stylishness, but are they really ageing and unflattering ?

I really hate rugby tops on women. Passable on a teenaged girl but just looks a bit silly on a grown woman-we all know you haven't been on a hockey team for a decade so why pretend?

Far better than my son's old school rugby shirt that I have appropriated, it's warm and comfortable.

I've not read the full thread,sorry, but a lady I know was in the pub this weekend wearing one of these tops, if I'm totally honest she looked ten years older and ten stone heavier. I thought she'd literally just come to the pub after cleaning the stables out. They are so boxy and unflattering.

Cold shoulder tops are chavtastic.

I ordered the top and it arrived today. I've just tried it on and I actually really like it, so I'm keeping it! It's very soft and warm, pleasantly surprised ☺️

Frumpy and butch, with bad memories of PE lessons 30 years ago. Don't go there!

The problem is that the fabric is too thick and has no drape. So you immediately look very boxy. If you're 5 ft 9 and very slender you could carry it off nicely though.

Oh, I've already taken it off. When I wear it for the first time, I promise I'll take a pic and post it on here to show you! You're not allowed to say if I look awful in it, as the tags will be off then and it will be non-reuturnable 😂 Only joking!

(Another who wouldn't be seen dead in a rugby top. Even Kate, Duchess of Cambridge looks ten years older in her rugby tops and Breton tops.)
